You’re not alone. One of the challenges I have faced for years is trying to teach code in a way that it is at least bearable. Thanks for watching. Good luck with your apprenticeship!
How’d you do? These videos really are awesome. I paid so much for plumbing school and you do a tremendously much better job at explaining than the teachers I had
May I ask why in 9:41 the developed length does not start from the bottom level where the vent connects to the drain as the "farthest point"? To me that seems to include the entire length of the vent.
Developed length on venting can vary. They should all start from the drain, but the develop length can end outdoors or at a stack vent or vent stack. So it just depends on the situation.
Just found your channel. I’m currently an apprentice. Thank you for your content. Plumbing code puts me to sleep but you make it interesting.

Thank you so much! You have helped me a lot when I really needed to understand all these plumbing codes. Keep up the good Work. More power to you!
Thanks, will do!
Taking my journeyman’s on Thursday! And these videos are kick ass because this ipc book can be worded sooo weird
Good luck on the test.
How’d you do?

@@Burn_The_Fed Thanks! I'm glad you find this helpful!
You have also helped me out a lot too! Thank you again for uploading these awesome videos.
You're welcome. I appreciate the support!
Seems to me, in your example, 140 DFU would need a 4" vent, before you get to the stack vent. I'm totally confused.
