- In this video, I take you through the detailed sizing method for Building Drains and Building Sewers using the National Plumbing Code of Canada.
your videos are easy to undertand ,very concise and straight to the point. Bravo!
Your a life saver man I hope u know that
Your videos are amazing I gotta say.
AMAZING VIDEOS, WILL SUBSCRIBE AND WATCH THEM ALL.
Awesome videos, best collection I've found. Thank you. Sometimes I wish you would explain *why* a certain rule or code exists. Helps me retain the information. But I get that these videos focus on how to use the code book -- a task which is not easy or intuitive -- rather than plumbing principles, which are maybe only slightly more intuitive :P
Thank you Great Videos!
Is there a chart or clause that specifies the minimum slope on Branch Drains? Namely those of 2" and 1.5" diameters?
Nope, just a code clause. 2.4.8.1
1) Except as provided in Articles 2.4.10.8. and 2.4.10.9., drainage pipes that are 3 inches or less in size shall have a downward slope in the direction of flow of at least 1 in 50. (See Note A-2.4.8.1.(1).)
Very great video.
Sorry I have question,
When we count bathroom as 6 and when we add the fixtures
Just I dont know when we should count as 6 for bathroom and when when we count as regular .
Thank you
In class: I tell my students how I want things counted, some instructors don't care about it either way
On the job: whatever way you want, it's your job (There is no rule/code stating when you count it one way or another)

I think if it is only bathroom group,we count as 6 but if bathroom group with other fixtures,we count as adding fixtures.
Hopefully I am right .
IP in 10days!!! you just might have saved my ass
Hi, what software are you using for the visuals? Super video btw!
CorelDraw form still images and Adobe Premiere Pro for video. Thanks
Can you use those double tee's or "cross tee's in that application? My understanding is that you can only use those tee's in a venting situation..
Short answer is yes. You would want to use a double wye fitting with a fitting 45° for the toilets though.
@@MathematicPlumber oh OK I did not know that, thanks for the Info. just for the record the way you explain things in your videos is far superior than most it's nice to finally have someone simplify things rather than over complicate things you should pat yourself on the back and get a raise:) keep it up and thanks
i am wondering if it wouuld possible to construct a video on comercial washers and washer stacks with code restrictions and presure sud zone areas with min and max requirements and laundey mat drains and rough in special features......
thank you kindly
Unfortunately, even the plumbing inspectors don't appear to understand that code, and I don't either.
