"First time I ever heard NWA was on a stair climber in Boston" is the most Joe Rogan thing I've ever heard
😂😂
LOLOL
😂😂😂
8th grade birthday party for me. I found a mixtape in the bathroom at school on a Friday. I didn't listen to it and went to the party and said, "I got this great mixtape." Hahaha.
My head almost exploded when it was played.
It’s crazy how many projects Rick has worked on and how diverse he is
And that's why Rick Rubin is a great producer
From Slayer to NWA. I always liked them both and thought it was odd that I did, being that they were so different. But this makes sense.
Love the way RR wears his headphones like a DJ (it's still in him)....
Rick rubin is a legend!
He is such a legend!
99% of the “new” rappers need to HEAR this interview
it wouldn't phase them one bit, most of todays and up to 3 decades back want money and fame and have no interest in creating something new they just want to reuse what was already created. i just laugh when i see people praising dre for being the greatest beat creator ever when over half of what he created was samples from previous music. in a way you could just say he was a very smart scammer.
The new rappers today wouldn't even believe this old white guys was such a prominent figure and wouldn't even know how to respect him and his words.
Ice Cube is the pen 🖊️ behind a genre that changed the world and some idiots still don’t put him in top 3 his 1st 4 solo albums classics not including NWA
Cosign. And dont forget that Da Lench Mob tape.
@@daveruss9972 guerrillas in da mist. What an album.
Let's not act like he's the only pen. The DOC and MC Ren also wrote
@@silewis9396 the songs that are still epic monumental and changed the game were Cube’s pen!!! I’m aware of their contribution but not even close. DOC major contributions came on The Chronic!!! Which was a game changer also
@@silewis9396 - DOC wasn't an NWA member. Great MC and contributor though
Always wanted to hear in depth info from Rick Rubin 👍🏽
Eazy-duz-it. Was the spark
Always wonder why Rick veered away from hip-hop, now I know!
And NWA brought him back!
When I first heard NWA, F_ck the police was an instant banger anthem 🤟
the first thing from those guys was NWA and the posse.. which had dope man, boyz in the hood and 8-ball as well as other tracks.. in my opinion, it was easy-e who caught people's attention.. there were already plenty of rappers on the scene.. easy's diminutive voice was unique as well as the 'we'll kill you' sound
Slayer!!!!!!
Im excited to read the book, just came in!
Gonna drop some Eazy E now
I love that dude!!
I heard N.W.A and the Posse in grade 6.
Who else algorithm just got this
Doesn´t Rick have the same voice style of Bert??? Close your eyes and imagine a calm Bert talking.
The man is a music genius
We can all assume you're not talking about rogan...
Rapped In Romance is the best album ever
Eazy-Duz-It came out after Straight out of Compton.
But was recorded first. And my feel is, Rick wasn’t watching the Billboard
Joe….you got to interview Cube or Dre!!!!
I am looking at Rick Rubin but sill feel I haven't seen his actual face
He interviews Kendrick Lamar at his own house in the backyard. He doesn't have his shades on
So interesting!!
Very!
It was so violent? From a mixed martial artist? Wtf, Joe!
I know right
Idk why I see Bert in Rick Rubin's face.
Unfortunately, there are certain people in the music business that are smart enough to know what people want. That’s why industry plants exist. And unfortunately sometimes they do become successful and wealthy.
I was 11-12 got nutzzzz
So interesting
Really interesting about his career.
No it's not he is a bum! A hack way passed his prime clinging to try and be relevant again
If you didn’t grow up in the hood you can’t relate! It was cubes voice that got everyone going !
lmao 💀 ppl listen to music for different things. I didn't care about the lyrics but the beats were crazyyyy that's what got me into rap. The sound of the music.
I love Joe to bits but he's not a music guy
N.W.A EFIL4ZAGGIN
Joe is high and Rick ain’t feelin that
the irony. this man has produced some of the most successful rap and rock artists of all time, being around people on drugs is part of the gig 💀
Eazy-E Eazy Duz It
Did they really depict "real life in South Central"?
Well certainly a worst case scenario version 🙄😂
Very real but also very amplified or exaggerated. That’s not exactly what NWA was living but it’s definitely going on in the surrounding
RR had to counter PE/Rakim/ KRS/ Native Tongues with the gangster drug culture… NWA actually helped devolve Hip Hop into what it is now and it has yet to come back up into edutainment!!! Arguably the best culture vulture but he has tremendous talent and skill!!! I love LL’s first album and Raising Hell but 💯 and agenda was taking place on highest levels!!! … this comment will be removed and I will be flagged but I don’t give a flying F!!! 😂😂😂
I think there was room for both but obviously the more extreme NWA was going to be more popular, at least among teen males. PE and De La had a few hits.
success is the carrot at the end of the stick??
Nwa thug life soundtrack the late 80’s when robbing was just part of growing up!
"the first cannabis infused music" is a wild take.
Sooooo rock and roll music wasn't violent huh Joe? Foh
How Rogan is so boring
The only multi millionaire who looks like a homeless guy.
What does the N stand for?? Lol
The steroids have rotted Rogan’s mind.
🌱 (in my day i LOVED) U.T.F.O. - ua-cam.com/video/sgaedPLT43k/v-deo.html
One day, i would enjoy waxing intellectual with both these men.
