I've had mine for a year now and love it! I usually do a level 5 cut, then a level 3 cut perpendicular to the 5. The higher the cut, the longer the battery lasts. I noticed that when I do a 2 or 3 cut first, the battery doesn't last long enough to cut the whole yard. At a 5, I can do twice as much yard with the same set of batteries, and at least another half yard at a 3 right after. Batteries take about 4 hours to charge to full so I got another set.
Bought one the other day and going to use it today. Can't wait. I do not have a large yard, checked out several UA-cam reviews and decided this is best for me. Good video btw.
Nice overview. I used a Craftsman CMM1000 for 27 years. It used two 12v sealed led acid batteries that I replaced every three years or so. We just replaced it with this 40v lithium battery mower. Very light, much quieter, batteries will work on other equipment, side discharge option, and it folds up much more easily. The blade is not very sharp when new and should be sharpened. I’ve ordered the Maxpower 3-n-1 blade hoping it will work as a swap-out blade.
I've had mine for 2 years or so now. I'll never buy another gas mower again. I spent the $300 on the 9amp hr. batteries and can mow my acre lot on level 3 with juice to spare for weed eating. It's tough as nails and light. Buy scale 1-5. I give it a 5+!
Best review video of this mower I’ve found! I’ve been looking at reviews and I’ve seen a lot where people say it just stopped working. Does you (or your dad) think that the as mostly due to that stuck kill switch issue?
The motherboards burn out and aren’t serviceable (epoxy coated) or sold separately yet. Disappointing. Based on photos, they might have released a Type 2 now. It now includes a battery cover. Hopefully they fixed the motherboard issue too.
Craftsman has the WORST customer service ever! They actually sent me an email when I needed service help telling me that there were NO service repair options they could offer, that they had NO parts or schematics to offer anyone tryin to repair one of these, that they had NO batteries to offer anyone needing one if they failed, and telling me to recycle my mower and buy something new!!! Luckily I was able to fix mine when it would not start after tearing it apart and trial and error efforts... I will NEVER buy another Craftsman product again. Like the mower and its accessory tools, but have ZERO ability to depend on them for any service or repair issue.... NOT the Craftsman of yesterday when Sears owned them.... Also, they got rid of entire V60 line if you have one of those products!!!

Great Review! Answered every question I had
Good video! Thanks for making it.

I just asked him and he said that’s exactly what he thinks they’re referring to & that craftsman has fixed that issue.
Honestly the weight alone and stowage ability is worth it
Great info ❤
The big decider is the price, and depending on how rough your terrain is,it must just call for the durability of a gas mower.
Sorry - this mower is no where near what the old Craftsman V60 mower was. Why they stopped making that one I don't know
Yup definitely the epa's fault... Not planned obsolescence
I dont think these last 7 years tho, Seen a lot of reviews of failures after 1-2 years.

Internal combustion is done.

What component went bad inside yours?
