Love seeing some drone footage, haven't seen it in a while. Actually haven't seen much of anything lately. Beryl has kept us busy. Anxious to get Internet back and watch your videos on the big screen. I'm watching this one again for sure. Blessings to y'all, stay safe.
Enjoyed the video. Very nice felling (falling). Good eye for the avenues. Damian came through with the high stump idea....worked great. Appreciate all the camera angles....certainly worth the effort from our (viewers) point of view. A1
Getting caught out by doing something that not exactly necessary can feel like a bit of a sin and extremely embarrassing! We’ve all been there, even I sometimes want to feel cool
Sometimes the "dodgy" is the only way! when you know, you know and keep doing what works for you. There are a lot of keyboard hero out there to tell you what to do, most of which have only watched it be done and repeat what they hear for others doing the darned thing.
@@AugustHunicke interesting, am I understanding the geometry in that the tree would be laying a little flatter by the time it impacts the possible interfering limbs of the other trees? So it would be pushing slightly more down on them?
Firm believer in what you said about if you love what your doing, then you ll never work a day in your life. Raised both my sons with that firmly embedded in their minds too. The oldest one and his wife own a pet care service, and have been voted top company by both their peers, and customers. Youngest is Sargent Major in Army, well before he reaches 20 years, and I believe he's going for 30 years.. Nice shooting there with those tree, and I believe Damian should've been a NASCAR pilot. Although you're right about his patients with explaining how to do things in y'all's trade. So maybe he shouldve been a teacher perhaps. Excellent as always August, and you Sir are a better teacher than you give yourself credit for, because he was trained by you, and he and the others learn from you daily.
Curious: you and Damian talked about speed before dropping the last one, but why is it you want it to go slow in this case? Honestly, I thought it wouldn't get through because of the lack of speed, but yet it did and without any hesitation even. Great call, as usual 😃
Best job ever! Free pruning 😆 Probably did them a huge favor, I have lost a few madrone tops like those from snow load at my place. The number synchronicities with numbers are so frequent now that it's pretty apparent that something big is going to happen. No idea what that is but every day I try and prepare myself to meet Him. I know this is controversial within the church but I am a pre-trib rapture hoper.
An old neighbor of mine made furniture for his 30-06 out of Madrone. It was very beautiful.
You and Damian truly amaze me. Beautiful job 👏

So accurate. Come to Scotland and try caber tossing !

I love being a “dodgy American” and taking very calculated “risks”
That was an awesome point Damien made about the high stump having more leverage , that one went straight into the tool bag or knowledge.😉

Great job August..... nice.
Nice !
Nice drops, great views, drone footage gives a great view of the other trees behavior as the dropped tree passes thru, haha, still blinking.

Outstanding as always August! We call 11:11 big sticks out here, it's our favorite number also! Have a blessed day!
The cripple cut is underminin years of tree learnings. An i like it' works
For some inexplicable reason, I expected you guys to break in to singing Monty Python’s LUMBERJACK song when you were driving that golf cart!👍🏼👍🏼🤔😄
Hehe i like that. Sadly ive worked alot in my life😂
Hey August! Awesome shots! Close calls on the camera placements! Do you think the higher stump helped on that last one?
Not much but theoretically ya.

@@MikeBrooks12550 more time to build speed before it hits
Spot on, as always!
Would a bore cut/ back strap technique generate more initial speed?
Yes actually. Good point.
@@AugustHunicke thank you Mr Hunicke

We DIDNT want it slow. I zoomed up to the hinge and then jetted.
@@AugustHunicke Thanks. Guess I misunderstood 👍
