Sooooo true! The other day I was doing a clearing job. My “internal voice” told me how to proceed with the removals. The contractor in charge of the excavation wants to “just push over” a huge ash leaning over the neighbors property. It has a split with two leaders so no hinge wood and a very heavy lean. Decided to walk away and have another tree company bring in a crane. Made everyone mad but I need to listen to that “voice” when it speaks to me!
Making "barely being successful" a ritual so accurately defines treework, I've always thought about that but never been able to put it into words, and now we need to knock on wood and thank the man above

I've told numerous people that I feel so blessed even with the "small things" in life bc God cares about those too! I believe when we make a genuine effort to honor God by the things that we do and the way that we do it, he blesses that effort. Will things happen sometimes? Most likely - but he's bigger than those problems.

Thanks for keeping it real August! You have always walked with grace and humility whenever you have talked about your faith on the channel and I'm sure that has had some unbelievers pondering. The gospel is the purest form of freedom! By putting our faith in Jesus we don't need to worry about if we are "doing enough" to grow the church. Living in radical freedom and pure unconditional love that can only come through Christ is something that can be seen even when words are hard.

Thanks for this video. Most of us have dark feelings about the future we may face. No matter what happens in our world, many of us can be optimistic because of our faith in God and Jesus. I think of the most eloquent analogy, about the man that was on trial for murder, and upon his conviction and then hearing the judge read out the sentence...... death, quietly a man stood up and stated that he would take the man's place and be executed so that the condemned man could go free, Imagine the feelings that the man had, knowing that someone sacrificed himself to save him. If it were me, I would do anything I could to glorify the man who gave his life for a rotton lowlife like me.

You might find it interesting that I bumped into your channel and found it interesting, but being a Christian myself, when I heard little mustard seeds you referenced to acknowledging God made me take interest. Not just for superficial reasons but because when we find people who create content who are also followers of Christ, we know we're unlikely to see someone intentionally or unintentionally subverting our faith. After watching more often for a while due to this revelation, I saw the episode where you used Crowder's "Back to the Garden" as a bed under your video and a) I loved the music and b) I realized that you weren't one of those folks who just makes a superficial passing mention of faith but instead it was actually a part of your life. But we are called by the father to evangelize. What we say has a real effect of the hearts of our neighbors. When I first started watching your videos in 2015 I was an angry atheist and it was the things I heard you and other men I respect say about god and their faith that softened my heart and bought me to Jesus. Cutting trees is extremely hazardous and at any moment you could find yourself at the feet of the Lord Jesus. That gut brain; when it’s activated; is like a spiritual barometer.

You might find it interesting that I bumped into your channel and found it interesting, but being a Christian myself, when I heard little mustard seeds you referenced to acknowledging God made me take interest. Not just for superficial reasons but because when we find people who create content who are also followers of Christ, we know we're unlikely to see someone intentionally or unintentionally subverting our faith. After watching more often for a while due to this revelation, I saw the episode where you used Crowder's "Back to the Garden" as a bed under your video and a) I loved the music and b) I realized that you weren't one of those folks who just makes a superficial passing mention of faith but instead it was actually a part of your life. '

When I first started watching your videos in 2015 I was an angry atheist and it was the things I heard you and other men I respect say about god and their faith that softened my heart and bought me to Jesus. I also have a finely developed "gut detetector"..... my problem is that, while it is finely developed, my brain likes to go through the motions and spend large amounts of time working out EVERY possible way to mess the project up before allowing me to go for the sensible otion that I had from the beginning. My brains opinion is "but I need to see if there is actually a more fun "(aka epically dangerous)" way to achive the same result"!!!!! 😂
