The west is rich, because they have the better weapons.
The rich are getting richer and poor are getting poorer because of Capitalism. Focus too much on profit, but forgot about its people.
There is no perfect system only suitable. China system only works for china due to unique history and circumstance. Not exportable. Every country is different.

The Belt and Road Initiative is essentially the United Nations without the G7. All countries are invited to join the BRI, but the G7 and their allies refused to participate because raising the standard of living for poorer countries is not in their interest. While the G7 accounts for 10% of the world population, it constitutes 60% of the global budget deficit. The West is isolating itself from the majority.
The West: Farewell, free trade and supply-chain efficiency; welcome isolationism and nationalism.
The US is leaving no knees untouched in its Tonya Harding competition strategy.

With BRI the world will be less dependent on G7. US ability to bully other nations with sanctions will be reduced. Imagine Africa with the largest surface area of fertile land being the food basket of the world

After 1989, China economy was helped by Kissinger.
The Wall Street and HK oligarch elite bought many assets or properties using proxy after 1990, which are dirt cheap.
Then in 2000 China suddenly get privilege to export to US tariff free, due to Kissinger influence on Congress.
So those HK oligarch and Chinese princelings make free easy money after 2005, when China economy grow very fast due to strong FDI into China from 2001 onwards.
There is no such thing as 5 year rolling program after 1989 failure.
It was all planned by Kissinger and the Anglo oligarch to make free easy money by the 100s billions within 10 -15 years

The last questioner raised the issue about 'debt trap' being associated with the BRI projects. Eric Li just shrugged cynically at the ignorance of this accusation which is essentially propaganda (a term first coined by an anti-China Indian political scientist Brahma Chellaney). Academics like Deborah Brautigam who have done detailed analysis of this issue have disproved these 'debt trap' myths.

Eric Li rightfully laughed off the "debt trap" question because only the ignoramuses, brainwashed by anti-China Western propaganda, still believe this shit! As an example, Sri Lanka, a place close to home of the generally China-hating Indians. China's loan was only 10%, the same as Japan's loan. Yet only China "debt trap" caused the economic collapse of Sri Lanka! Heck, what about the non-China loan, which was a whopping 90%?! To those ignorant China-haters, that 90% of Sri Lanka's total debt didn't cause Sri Lanka's collapse but it's China's 10%! See what stupidity can hatred can lead to? 😂

Happy that Dr. Lee supports the Chinese people's new embrace of socialism with Chinese characteristics, which call for slower economic growth and greater party control. Dr. Lee is now a good venture "socialist" and has stopped believing foreign propaganda.

TQ Eric we need to hear more of you! Their definition is loud and clear the garden and the jungle! A parody way to put this...if the gardener did not take from the jungle - how on earth can he build his garden, right? Overtime his artificial garden deteriorated so the gardener return to the jungle and wanted more. Time has change - to his surprise this time there is a gatekeeper he tell the gardener sorry sir, not this time! but I've got rules base order, reply the gardener. Gatekeeper I hear you but njet means njet sir!

Most logical and comprehensive analysis of current China’s situation. This is so much better and constructive than those pure propaganda from the western scholars and so called China experts have done so far.

China is changing for the better . During this transition period, it is normal for someone losing jobs and others gaining jobs. With the correct direction is set for China’s development and modernization, I am not worried about China’s future. In fact I am feeling confidence for China. Thanks for the US for pushing China to become independent and self sufficient faster.

Although there are great differences between Chinese dialects, there is one thing in common - they all have the same writing system based on Chinese characters. However, the same character is pronounced differently depending on which dialect a person speaks, and further research has shown that too many dialects are related to the alphabet-based or "alifbata" dialects of Malay. A good example is that Yahweh was the god of the ancient Levant and the national god of the kingdoms of Israel and Judah. Although there is no consensus on the origin of the god, scholars generally agree that Yahweh emerged as a "holy warrior" first associated with Seir, Edom, Balaam, and Teman, and later with Canaan. 1:53

As long as they keep the spirit of serving honourable, celebrating it, get the best and the brightest to teach, to do medicine, come to politics, keep education, health care cheap, then you will inovate, and succeed. Keeping a meritocracy going and keeping curruption liw will help as well.

@@apollo2061 people can have all kind of theories and charts but the truth is that there isn’t GOD here doing the design. The best is 80/20 rule that means 80% of the time is wrong. However it does not mean we are not doing macro management such as allocating resources/funding for the R&D etc. But, the biggest elephant in the room is the linear power structure that gives you one option of top down economy ONLY. So people just try to prove it is the best choice, while there isn’t anything else available in China unfortunately

BRI is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the Global South to develop and the G7 and India will try their utmost best to undermine it. India has joined the G7 camp and thrown a spanner in the project due to its jealousy of China and also for its loss of control of the economy of its neighboring countries that India has maintained all the years.
