    Man that’s such a cool idea with your son’s ashes. Lost my dad this past August right before his 50th birthday. Might have to do the same thing with my quiver so I can hunt with him again

      Yep had his ashes in my quivers since he past 6 years ago. It's nice having him out there with me. Everytime you look at your quiver it will remind you that your dad is with you

    I have an idea for an upcoming video since you have been focusing on bows lately. Please compare shooting a light draw weight, 30-35 lb., to a heavier bow like you are currently shooting. Trad archery coaches always say to start with a light draw bow to learn how to shoot correctly. Just a suggestion, thanks for the videos.

    I love my Selway quiver but after seeing your creek walker quiver, my Selway leather almost looks cheap lol

    • @tradbowpodcast
      @tradbowpodcast  2 місяці тому +1

      Selway makes amazing quivers. I currently own selway, creekwalker, thunderhorn and great northern. All are absolutely fantastic. What I like about the gn and cw is they have a bar between the hood and the gripper that means when I take the quiver off the bow for travel etc all the arrows stsy together in the quiver. What I like about the cw more than the gn I explained in the video. But all are great quivers made by great people.

    I’m stuck deciding between a great northern and creek walker quiver.
    The creek walkwr seems like it would be stiffer and more supportive and I would probably buy one, but the fact that great northern makes an adjustable version means I only need to buy one and it could work on multiple bows.
    With the creek walker you need to decide the length prior so that the ‘snakey’ design portion will strap to the fades of whatever bow your shooting… where as I can adjust a great northern to fit something like a 19” Ilf or something like a 10” riser on a self bow.
    Thoughts?
    Thanks for the review. Looks great!

    • @tradbowpodcast
      @tradbowpodcast  2 місяці тому +1

      That is a great point. And you are correct. however with how far out the gripper and hood is from each other on the creek walker you could strap it on any bow and its not going to be a concern. on a recurve I would have the straps on the riser anyway. not on the limbs if I could help it.

  • @scottmyers9241
    @scottmyers9241 2 місяці тому +1

    What was your measurement you went with between the straps?

    • @tradbowpodcast
      @tradbowpodcast  2 місяці тому

      10 inches. I called donnie and asked him. He knew exactly what I needed based on the type of bow I shoot.

    • @scottmyers9241
      @scottmyers9241 Місяць тому +1

      Sounds good!! What gripper did you go with? Big Jim’s or creekwalker gripper? Is the standard creekwalker gripper 5 arrows I’m guessing

    • @tradbowpodcast
      @tradbowpodcast  Місяць тому

      @@scottmyers9241 I do not know what gripper this one is. I told donnie to give me the same gripper james wood has on his. He knew exactly what gripper I was talking about.

    Learn me this. Why did your release hand move forward just prior to your release of the string. Not messing with you brother to be a prick just wondering was that a bad habit not staying into your anchor point or do you know something that I don’t about good release and follow through. Teach me I’m just a nobody trying to learn from you tube stars.

    • @tradbowpodcast
      @tradbowpodcast  2 місяці тому +3

      That is called creeping and technically it's not good but since I don't Focus much on my release and I put all my effort into focusing on the spot I want to hit sometimes it just happens when I practice for form creeping never happens and I always hit full release but when I'm shooting to hit something I don't worry about what that release hand is doing all of my focus is on where I want my arrow to hit and sometimes my form goes sloppy like that
