Best hunting pants I've ever used. Threw out all my other everyday pants and just filled my dresser up with them.
Wore them every weekend rabbit hunting from October to March this year. They're not brush pants, but I've yet to wear them out!

The only thing I don’t like is the front pockets opening are so high. Hard to reach in.

I love that personally. I'm a short guy and if the top pockets are higher the cargo pockets go higher and are actually on my thigh rather than down by me knee. Most cargo pants I can not put a phone in my cargo pocket as it hangs by my knee and I can't flex my knee.

I have several pairs of these pants as well. Quick drying, good pockets, comfortable and hold up pretty well. I wear them for the entire hunting season.
They also make a fleece lined version of the same pants that I switch to when it's cold. (difficult to find but same material and pocket layout)
I generally don't wear these for scouting though. They are thin and get snags from prickers (haven't torn them yet, but big pulls). Some scouting missions I'm busting through stuff I would only blood trail through during the season. I usually wear duluth firehose pants for scouting really nasty stuff.
Overall though, definitely like these pants. Also have LL Bean Crestas (lined and unlined) that are waterproof and basically same pockets. (noisier)

I use a Camo original 1980's USA army design pant older from 2000's of similar thin material a 50/45/10 where 50 is cotton or a more modern tan pant with Nylon piece on shin as I need a pant like this even when I should be wearing a higher boot for snakes under my pants. Problwm is with Northern Prairie Rattler, snakes is in 90% of situations if you find em it is almost too late due to tall prairie grasses and why I do not wear types of boots but may look into some more lower cost still high quality taller boots if we have a really bad season of Rattlesnakes. On some days I need pants and some Longjohn bottoms having to remove during the day, I do have some lighter and heavy Longjohns for some weather where my safety orange snow pants do not work or like for some animals like shotgun & birds or no snow.
You do need a single piece of orange on top minimum a hat or vest when hunting period even on private land, but I do both hat and vest for safety in areas where public hunting mainly becuse a bunch of dumb hunters come out in my area for pheasants for around a week and is all season seeing mainly rich people from out of state or famous sponsored hunters/target shooters.

Hi Jason, I am trying to make a traditional bow, similar to yours. people have different opinions about the location of arrow rest. Some people said the arrow rest should be exactly at the center of the stick, but some people else said the arrow rest should be higher than the center of the stick.
Your are a very professional hunter and your bow is very good.
Would you kindly tell me if the arrow rest of your bow is exactly at the center of the stick, or higher than the center of the stick.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

You and I think alike when it comes to value and things that work well for hunting that may not be made especially for hunting. Thanks for all the great content. Even though I'm spending, the value is there and having hunting and camping gear that works well is actually a smart investment.

Forgot to try it this winter, I have a one size down pair that I was going to wear; would not need a belt, then my regular pair atop it for cooler temps to see the effect with wind etc. After testing wearing multiple layers of light and medium fleece shirts, thank you the OLD Sportsmans Guide for the sales;not now!, I got to try out wearing multiple layers in wind rain snow in an open field. I walk my dog every day and night in a nearby 18 acre field every day without fail. Outer layer was of course wet, mid layer or single layer was dry. Just shook them out to lose the excess moisture. Was perfect for freedom of movement and easy to vent when building up body heat. xl first shirt atop a summer wicking t shirt from Costco, xxl shirt atop it , and if cold enough a xxxl atop that. I could walk back to the truck within 15 minutes so it was not death defying.

  • @PJOutside

I wear these everyday. I work with chemicals in commercial kitchens and industrial laundries, hot, humid, dirty, environments. They clean up easy and dry fast. If I’m sitting or laying on a rough floor I throw cardboard down. Easy to replace if I snag them on a sharp corner on equipment, quick run to Walmart (after just grabbing a spare pair out of the truck). It hurts that wallet less than any others and these are much more bleach resistant than dickies or carhartts. I also only have to change a shirt for those before or after work jaunts in the woods.

Great you are talking about the pants I wear all year round in NC. Found them in Samsclub mostly, must have 6 pair and only threw out one pair because my dog caught the material perfectly to actually ripped it, could have just sewed it up but I already had them for 4 years. You are SO right that they last forever, dry quickly, flex with you, light to wear. In winter the cold wind does blow thru, duh they are nylon, but, I just wear a longer outerwear to cover down to my crotch. For folks who have Costco and Samsclub, keep watching for them!, Great Video! of course

For hunting I’ve come to like the Kuiu Pro pants with built in knee pads. I do hunt out of a saddle most of the time though so that’s the reason for them. Little bit noisy for walking around due to being used to wearing wool most of my hunting career which is silent. I luv the pants your talking about for work though.
