Our VRF Grab Bags (GB) videos are compiled from content from our cameras as Mods and fans spot something neat while watching our cameras. In the GB you will, of course, find a variety of TRAIN content, special trains, maintenance, steam, diesels, interesting rail cars, cool paint schemes and more. You will also find fun people, city events, boats, planes, cars (sometimes going wild) and nature. Thank you for taking the time to sit back and enjoy these highlight reels that we call "Grab Bags"! - Розваги
That owl! Oh my--that OWL!!! So gorgeous!!! I also enjoyed the mini-parade at Cumberland, and it was neat to see several engineers honk at people who waved at them. It's a little thing but it means a lot. Kudos to the firefighters at the bungalow, and a big hello to the Italians; it looked as if they were having the time of their lives and I hope they get to see a lot while they're here. Thanks for another great one, guys!
Thank You for the OWL ... my totem animal!!
Owl did some railfanning as he was mouse fanning
Thanks for the rare Freight-cars tonight VRF, also 'Illinois Terminal', at Roanoke. Those Speeders at Cumberland looked good.
yay grab bag time!
edit: i was the one that was waving next to the Santa Fe boxcar, so its an honor to be on here!
timestamp: 10:54
Congrats Theo!!
As one who's been on the grab bag twice before, I say congratulations and welcome to the club!
Thank you both!
I was almost on the grab bag if the Fairport camera wasn’t down 😅😅
I too am in the grab bag. Loved it. I’m also in the next one.
14:30 The Spirit of Gradton, West Virginia.
VRF needs to put a camera on Grafton Yard!!
Shriners engines in Cumberland MD 😮
Fantastic catches and like the owl
Nice Grabbag VRF, saw the Illinois Terminal EMD SD70ACE on the point of a manual in Roanoke Eastbound a couple of days ago, nice shot of great horned owl 🦉!🛤🚂
Now I liked this Grab Bag Video it was outstanding it was a good one
Here come the awesome exciting trains going down the tracks on
Virtual Railfan Grab Bag Thanks for the trains.🇺🇲🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲
This was awesome 🙌 loved the owl 🦉
A big wave to my waving neighbor in Jonesboro, TN at the Depot Museum.
Impressed to see an ex Santa Fe snoot SD40-2!
Big 10 curve, I’m sure the Rocky Mountaineer was checking to make sure no tramps were on the cargo cars.
How can you not smile when a family finds joy waving at a camera sharing a hobby. I think the owl was a little camera shy, didn't want to reveal it's hunting technique.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for identifying the HZRX! Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to grab my iPad to look up the railroad symbols. Nice addition!👍👍👍🥩🙏
hello Virtual Railfan & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Virtual Railfan & Friends Randy
Ciao Italianos... My heritage!!
I've been wondering what company the blue locomotives between the regular Rocky Mountaineer were from. Thank you @VirtualRailfan for letting us know. I'm assuming they're there to help the regular locomotives.
It sounded like something on the bnsf railroad grain train popped
*Awesome Catches*
06:39 For some reason, I saw this and thought about The Benny Hill Show theme song lol
You missed a good one from the 14th at Ashland. 21:06 - Cat crossing, 21:07 Fire Engine JUST makes crossing before the lights and gates.
6:50. That looks fun!
the footage here is sped up, in reality they were going way slower than you would think
that poor owl getting messed by IR while hunting Great grab bag as usual
I think that at 0:48 the engineers tapped the brakes and the noise was from the couplers pushing together; the train seemed to slow down afterwards.
no it was most likely the airhose on one of the cars disconnected, i can tell from the pop and hiss from what disconnecting the airhose sounds like.
18:13, Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo!
Excellent!
Owl see ya all later...
goodbye VRF -on another rail cam -it said you were gone-! now members only ! thanks for the memories -LA PLATA ptz and other cams

Fantastic catch of the owl, was that with an infra-red camera?
It was a Great Horned Owl, our largest (and one of the most common) owl species. Don't know about the camera...
a lot of fires in Wichita...
8:18 40' boxcar!!!
Good video
@0:50 what you hear when the independent brake is momentarily applied without the train brakes, I would guess it was a mistake.
More speeders, please!
3:38 Horizon Rail leasing out of Ohio also do sales
6:37 When you're bikers and also work for the railroad.
Some freight wagons have extensive and sometimes quite artistic graffiti. I suspect that an analysis of all of their individual route histories will show a common record of having all spent time in one particular freight marshalling yard. I wonder which yard that might be? It would be likely to have a more lax security regime than others. 😎
18:10 Stolas from Helluva Boss.
The slam means it hit the breaks
Am I supposed to buy stock in the refrigerator car fleet or something? 😂
Hey, VR....are there any cameras up here in Alaska you can access?
