Aww. I love cats every bit as much as I love trains. Kitty cat hopefully got a good forever home with that family. I used to have a gray and white tabby cat. Her name was Chessie. She had the same colors as the original Chessie, but the pattern wasn't the same, and she had more white. My Aunt and I got her as a kitten, and she lived to be 19.
Cat must've been taking shelter from the severe elements and just happened to find a spot on top of the front left tire of that truck. Good intuition by that family.
It was under the hood of the truck. Cats will do this to stay out of the weather. Good catch by the family and that's on very lucky kitty.

3:46 - Some of the Somerset Railroad cars are still around! After the closure of the Somerset Kintigh Generation station the railroad was abandoned, tore up, and CSX was supposed to scrap all of the cars. Some escaped the grim railcar reaper. Great Grab Bag as usual!

I was going to church one morning and I thought that my cat was in the apartment. When I got into town, 14 miles away and parked at the church, my cat came out from under the pickup and demanded to be picked up. She had ridden somewhere under the hood, all that way.

Oh wow, 6:30 going through the red… I know certain occasions a dispatch will permit an engineer to pass reds, but I don’t think I’ve actually seen it happen till here!
If you look closely the top most orbital's light was lit making it a restricting indication instead of stop. (Restricting: Ok to pass, not exceeding restricted speed, prepared to stop due to broken rail, misaligned switches, or train ahead.) (Restricted speed is able to stop with in 1/2 the range of vision not exceeding 15 mph in interlockings, 20 mph else where.)
I know it had something in it's beak, but that first shot of the grackle made it look shocked lol

Those are actually a few of BNSF's many veteran D9-44CWs that served them for many years. Unfortunately, BNSF has been slowly retiring them from their books, and they are now selling them off in favor of new GE Evolution Series locomotives. Many of them are being given away to shortline railroads, however some went to Kansas City Southern (now Canadian Pacific Kansas City) and then to Norfolk Southern (cuz they're rebuildin' 'em to AC44C6Ms). It's a shame that BNSF is ridding themselves of one of their most successful locos, but as the old sayin' says: Not everything lasts forever unfortunately.
@@paulw.woodring7304 Nope. Those units were all probably being returned to GE after their BNSF leases expired. The paint around the patches on the noses tells me that they were delivered to BNSF before they adopted the new 'swoosh' scheme.

At 1:56 "Birth Control" is stenciled on the barrel of that tank; a few of the others have different sayings, e.g., "Deus Ex Machina." On one of the fancy passenger cars at 10:54 I saw "Alfred E." and my mind added "Newman" which would have been a Mad Grab Bag for sure!

Somerset RR up until the last year or so shipped coal to the Somerset Power plant not far from my home . It is all gone now , plant and rail lines , everything gone in the name of GREEN ENERGENCY ????? The shame of it all was the power plant was only about 30 years old , what a waste !!!!

Here's another instant justice story that I saw on monday night as I was chasing the Chessie System heritage unit. As I was going to my spot to film it, a white pickup was driving the other way with his lights off. I flashed my lights to let him know but he didn't seem to take notice. The car behind him seemed to though, because after they both passed me, he turned on his blue flashing lights. The police car was unmarked so I didn't know it was a police car until it lit up. If anyone is interested in seeing the video I got of CSX 1973 that night, it's already on my channel.

What is with the NS passenger cars? Is that a local commuter train? I live out in the country away from major railroads so I'm curious where they are so that I could get a ride. Thanks.
The NS (and CSX) "passenger" trains would have been OCS (office car special) trains, mainly used by railroad management to travel around the system and demonstrate routes to potential or current customers. They're rarely if ever available to the public.

It happens from time to time that a critter takes shelter from the elements in what looks to them like a stationary object...One driver here in Utah found an owl under his hood! It was rehabbed and eventually released.

On my laptop, the locations are at the top of my screen. My two cents.
I have watched on my iPad or streaming on tv; internet services have been from Comcast, Verizon Wireless, and a local telephone company. The camera locations and time stamps always show up on a bar at the top of the screen.
Maybe it’s your phone or internet provider that somehow cuts out the information?
Locations are always shown on my laptop.
Looking up the word, upteenth, nope! Not here.
Not for the umpteenth time, only the third or fourth: Military movements are NOT grab bag worthy.
