I work professionally as an architectural designer. I used to 3d model futuristic and non-real places in 3d and render them (Rhino + V-Ray). Over the years I've lost this passion and being a new father has made it even more difficult. Since watching your videos over this last month I've already been motivated to start creating and making non-real places/spaces again just for the joy and peace of it. Thanks for the motivation and keep the explorations going.
That's the path I'm going for, enviroment art. I model in Blender listening to this kind of peacefull tunes. Now I got my hands in UE5, the possibility to make realistic non-real places are endless. I'm still a beginner tho! Long way ahead, but I'm super motivated
I listen to your music while working and studying. The music in combination with this pictures are something different. It feels like there is a interesting future but you don't know how it will look like. At the same time it remembers me of my past. Of my past and of my dreams back then.
The description and the ambience reminds me of HP Lovecraft’s quote: “The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of the infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.”
This is by far my favorite track you've made out of the 29 others, it creates such a calm but mysterious tone at the same time and im all for it. Not to mention the atmosphere in the video is phenomenal. Its such an abstract and calming place that feels like a dream i've had and its wonderful. Keep it up Obsidian, Im excited to see what else you create.
I love this channel. When new music arrives, I save it to my Music playlist even as I start listening to it because I already know I am going to like it...just a matter of how much!
Beyond Beautiful feeling in life. Driving around 4 in the morning and remembering what I've been through and going towards something imaginable peaceful journey;,,)♡ 🙃
I see that the theme of finding a way out of a trap, from a labyrinth, the theme of wandering in the darkness in search of light is deeply personal for the author, because it is repeated in several works. Many of us, I'm sure, are going through the same thing. Thank you for the beautiful music, I hope you find the peace you are looking for.
You are great man. I used to listen to Future Garage Mixes and similar things but those are to distracting with their unpredictable baselines. This is perfect to get into the flow and not get dragged out by annoying sounds.
Love your content. I've been binge watching your videos since last week, something about them is so therapeutic and calming although sometimes eerie but comforting as well. Sometimes I wish I could crawl through the screen and live in these ambient spaces because the art is immaculate.
My favorite video is the "Snow Angler" and this one is beautiful too. The Snow Angler is my favorite type of environment with a Dark winter landscape i hope i get to see another video with that same type of environment but for now I'll enjoy this one.
I have listened to every single one of your videos now! They are so calming when I'm working on other things. And the lore behind the images is always a treat to read. Can't wait to hear more in the future!
Hey there, thank you very much for your donation. It means a lot to me that you think so highly of these OSF’s, I am trying my best and to have comments like this keeps me going. Thanks again copperhead.
the music and the atmosphere give you a tingle or a desire to walk through those places or simply contemplate the environment if those structures really existed. [Congratulations for reaching this goal][congratulations on reaching 50k subscribers, I hope you reach 100k soon]
For the 2nd time I'm listening to this again, today I'm not feeling well and I started listening to this video and I'm relaxing, I even fell asleep, good for some relaxation.
Report from the World's Edge - Obsidian: "Endless Paths" Recording 0101-Log 30 Transmission initiated. “This is… **Static**. Last of **Static** humans, or so it seems. Reporting from the 'Endless Paths'... Though, who am I reporting to anymore? The silence is my only company now, but speaking into this mic… It makes me feel like I’m still connected to something… someone...” The sound of a faint sigh crackles through the static. The Man's voice is steady but carries the weight of loneliness. “The Paths. They’re endless. Twisting corridors that stretch into eternity. I don’t know how long I’ve been wandering. Time… It doesn't flow the way it used to. Days, hours, minutes… they all blur together. My suit’s clock is still ticking, but it doesn’t mean anything anymore. I’m… I’m adrift in this maze, and it just keeps pulling me deeper.” Footsteps echo softly through the fog, the rhythm slow and deliberate. “I haven’t seen another living soul since… since the Fall. Obsidian swallowed everything. But now, here I am, walking these Paths… and I can feel it-something’s out there, watching. The Seeker. I haven’t seen it, but it’s close. It feels like it’s part of this place, part of the fog… part of me.” There’s a long pause, the silence almost deafening, broken only by the soft hum of his suit’s life support system. “Sometimes, I wonder… Am I still alive? Or is this some kind of purgatory? A twisted afterlife where I’m doomed to wander forever. I try not to think about it. But it’s hard. Hard to stay focused when there’s no one left to… to care. No one left to remember.” The transmission crackles as the man's breath hitches, his voice trembling ever so slightly. “I don’t know if there’s a way out. Or if I’m meant to find one. Maybe… Maybe this is where I’m supposed to end. Maybe that’s why the Paths found me… why the Seeker is waiting. But… even if I can escape, even if I somehow find a way back… There’s no one left. No one to share the story with. I’ll just be… alone again.” Another pause, followed by a deep, resigned sigh. “Still, I’ll keep moving. Because what else is there to do? If I stop, the fog will take me. And I’m not ready for that. Not yet.” The transmission fades into static, leaving only the faint sound of the man's breathing before the comms finally cut out. “End log.” Hope you guys enjoyed this short story thing I made based on this track! keep up the awesome tracks obsidian! absolutely love em!
out of all the sound ambience you made. this in my opinion gives me dystopian horror vibes. while the previous ones had some sense of awe and majesty with a pinch of mystery to them, this one feels a little haunting and I love it. perfect for post apocalyptic.
You should make like a nighttime Dune (yes Dune the IP) inspired video Maybe its like some sort of structure on top of a sand dune with the sand blowing slightly at night with sutle warm lighting. Maybe you can integrate a slignt Dune sand worm esk sound effect in the background music too. Idk just a different idea.
New subscriber here - I love the aesthetic of this channel! Do you have any behind-the-scenes content planned? And may I ask if the Paulstretch effect is used in creating these beautiful soundscapes? Thanks! :)
That's why I find it interesting that good films have an even better soundtrack. It doesn't work any other way, 55/ 45 soundtrack/ picturework. That's just my opinion.
Absolutely amazing. Your music opens a doorway to another dimension, a different layer of understanding. I wonder if it's possible to get a license for your music? I've got a small art channel on twitch and looking for music I can play in the background while drawing.
No need to get a license, as long as you credit in the description that the music is from here. That will be enough :) thank you for asking and I appreciate the feedback!
Hey OSF, I really love and appreciate your music. I use most of them for a better sleep. But I got one suggestion: I'm a person that gets headaches very quick. Most of your videos have a strong sub bass included, that often trigger my headaches even faster and so I have problems with relaxing. In "Aperture Forge" and "The Veiled Monolith" for example, this sub bass is not included. Is it possible that you could do versions with it reduced or without it? That would be really helpful because of the sub bass I can't listen to the most of your songs. Thanks a lot❤
This scenario I didn't like, models too artificial, and this strange lights are unnecessary... It doesn't seem a real scenario, just an artificial computerizing... But the general sketch is good! I'm saying it because I love a lot of other scenarios from you..... Thanks!
I wish I have some friends to hang out with this genre of music,We will just drink ,lau down in silence and sink in to the ambient of this and smoke cigarettes together

Just started listening to these about a week ago and these are amazing especially veiled monolith 👌
At this point I've listened to all your videos. Fantastic for writing, thanks for that
Literally just keeps getting better and better...thank you for these masterpieces!
