Thank you for the lovely swatches. I absolutely love my Roman Szmal watercolours (I bought most shades over time). They have so much personality and charm and bring me lots of joy. I just wish they came in tubes because some pans I go through quickly the have to wait for reorder. PS: Thank you for adding your description and thoughts for each swatch. That is nice to read.

Love the descriptions you have for each watercolour. It’s helpful since I only have a handful of these as it will make it easier for me when purchasing new ones!
I have not purchased any from this brand yet......mainly cuz i want all there colors and can decide what to get first..... I think they are THE BEST at any price range!
I don't know how I missed your comment 🤦 ... I agree with you, they are very well-priced for the quality. I believe the color range will expand further. I'm looking forward to seeing some rare pigments they will offer in the future. Have fun picking your colors!
In my opinion, if I can only choose one: Schmincke Horadam for it's reliably high quality in all aspects. I especially appeciate the flow control being predictable and well behaved. However, if you enjoy watercolour, most likely you will end up with both. Roman Szmal has many unique and uncommon single pigment colours, good pigment load and is well priced. Being handmade, as long as they continue to nail the quality control, it could well be my favourite honey based watercolour. Happy Painting Iva! 🎨
