He thinks Mode 7's simple background trick is arcade quality sprite scaling and rotation , therefore I can never take another opinion of his seriously.. Nobody can be wrong on the internet, especially about an important subject like games from 3 decades ago.
Thank you so much for having me on! The dedication that goes into making a video this long and with such a diverse range of games discussed is super impressive!

Thanks again for having me on, Jason, it was a lot of fun digging down into the history of the Pocky series and offering my own spin on it. To show my appreciation, I've got four comments here for the price of one, take your pick: 1) Awesome work writing through this monster of a project without defaulting to any handwavey cliches, this is your video from front to back. 2) Sounds like you went down the exact trajectory I did post-Super Metroid. Every Metroid-adjacent game I've played since is just lining up to be knocked down by the shadow of that one. 3) Congratulations to Kirby's Dream Course for cracking a Top 10 for the first time in human history. You've earned it. 4) Pac-Man 2, huh
@@JasonGravesPoser Film Cow played Pac-Man 2 on Genesis. He seemed to think it’s better but it ain’t. The music is actually OK. In fact, NAMCO were really good at FM. But it’s a bit of a scrappy port overall.
Phenomenal job with this one Jason! Having a Top 100 of both NES and SNES games is one heck of a series and I'm glad you ultimately place things where YOU think they belong. Keep up the momentum, the growth is REAL, and thanks again for letting me be a part of this and rep a game that means a lot to me! Excited for more ⭐
Yes, that was almost exactly how Superman died in the comics. Except Doomsday beat up the rest of the Justice League first with one arm literally tied behind his back lol
Harvest Moon is still right next to the #1 spot. It just sort of fell on the floor and nobody noticed it wasn't getting up while they were cheering on Dragon Quest V.
I too feel this game might be the very best SNES game too. It’s the most unique gameplay style of any of the games that just instantly feels right and fully formed. Impressive for a first game. Natsume are the number 1 developer even though they didn’t develop HM.
alright i did it i made it to the end. it took me 3 nights but i enjoyed every moment of it. my final notes after 2 previous posts: 1) I love that recap music video you did.... masterful editing of the games jumping around to the beat. i wish this was an equalizer plugin i can use lol. You should release it as a separate video. and 2) I am a little dissapointed by how little you had to say about your #1 pick. I know you have a full review video on it, which i watched a month or so ago, which is great btw and made me commit to getting a translated cart to play. But after how much positive stuff you had to say about Chrono Trigger, i was expecting to hear a concise pitch as to why your #1 is so great (not saying the game name as to not spoil it to whoever is reading this in the future). I know i will go back and rewatch your 40+ min review on it just to recontextualize your rating here but it would've been nice to get a few minutes in this video describing all that is magical about it here. ANYWAY. Great video, A+ effort, fun presentation and guest spots, i loved the personal on camera touches while focusing on the games and showing footage - the video always felt "right" and the surprises were excellent. i definitely disagree with a chunk of the list but that is irrelevant, it was great to hear your thoughts on each game and made me consider my own choices and gave me quite a few games to give a chance to or a 2nd look. Thanks for your time, this was a blast. Good luck with everything, Cheers.
Great video. Respectful opinions for sure. My top 3 would be Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, and Terranigma. Also, Kirby's Dream Course is amazing, I hope you've played multiplayer.
Let us know when you have played Tales of Phantasia and Star Ocean, the only two SFC/SNES games that reached 48 megabits. Both are easily worthy of the list.
Add Last Bible III onto the list and you got a game that, while not on the same level as the SMTs present, is a pretty unique RPG with some of the best music on the system that would be somewhere in the 40's or 50's in terms of placement.
For me the random encounter rate absolutely killed Tales of Phantasia, could not force myself to get anywhere close to finishing it. Isn't there a remake that's better about this or something?
@@joshthefunkdoc There’s a PS1, GBA and PSP version but I’ve only played the original one. Back when it was released the high encounter rate was pretty much a given with most RPGs. If you like JRPGs it’s definitely worth a full playthrough, maybe on another platform.
There are quite a few good games that arent on this list, but I guess you can’t mention them all. And the guy put Pac Man 2 above Zelda, what can you expect? lol
i don't think i've ever even heard of pacman 2 but the fact you put it at 12 AND above zelda is HILARIOUS. this channel has turned out to be an amazing sub. so glad i found it.
Super excited for this one 😊. The first video I watched of yours was the top 100 nes games. Watched it all and dug it and then subscribed to checked out the rest of your stuff. I'm even in your patrion ❤. Looking forward to it 🎮
I loved your list and I have played Pac-Man 2 The Adventures more times than most people walking this object we title earth. I used to rent that title on the weekends all the time just to progress a little further in the game. Chrono Trigger is God tier..... Dragon Quest 5 is bar none the best in the series. I have played all installments minus 9, and DQ5 is so next level, it almost got put into Super Mario All-Stars as the "The lost levels" .... that's how next level it is..... Very accurate and to the point is your list to my gaming obsession and rank. Thank you for making this video and from one human being in Tennessee, we love you and your content. God bless and good day sir!
Just finished it and this was a very well done video! When it comes to these types of lists it's not about what we (the viewer) agree or disagree with, but whether the list's creator put some genuine thought and care into their choices. You most certainly did just that. Subbed!
I played Earthbound with my dad as a kid, have helped work on the Chrono Trigger plus rom hack, but have NEVER played a Dragon Quest game. Time for me to give number five a shot
Dude, I'm in full support of putting the usual top ten contenders at the bottom of the list! There are a bijillion lists online right now that are all basically the same goddamn list with all the same goddamn games in the same goddamn slots. So something different is MUCH appreciated! It's as if an actual, real, thinking human with his own ideas made this. ALL RIGHT!
Really enjoyed your takes and though we have very dissimilar tastes, i always appreciate someone with their own fully unique favorites that isn't afraid to get some heat. That said, I'll be crying myself to sleep not seeing Soul Blazer or Super Ghouls and Ghosts
Can't believe I bought SkyBlazer for 10$ at Zellers in 2000... sadly sold it. Cuz now it's 250$. To think I had it brand new in box in the deals section and played the heck outta it. Reminded me of Kick Master on NES !! Discovered the secret passages across the game and the last boss stands as quite a test of willpower.
I started watching this piecemeal throughout the week on work breaks and I have to say, it's been a real journey. While I don't agree with every choice, I was entertained, and I really like your comical timing. Thanks for sharing your top 100!!
Chrono Tirgger was so ahead of its time with its design, that sometimes it feels like we haven't even reach the time in which chrono trigger would feel contemporary. Which is fitting for a game about time travel. I mean it is an rpg... with no filler, no grinding, no random encounters and no extra dimension where fights take place in, every fight takes place right where you found it, in fact every single encounter in the game is individually designed and purposefully put into a specific location, none of them are just repeated encounters. Like... who does that? I thought the point of the rpg was making simplistic content so that you can build a lot of it quicker and not have a tremendously high budget. Well not for chrono trigger. Happy to see it in a fitting place, it should never be lower than third place. I am glad to get to see other people that love it as much as I do and that hate the additional quests of the DS version as much as I do lol. In the case of chrono trigger, it literally would be a better version if it had less content. Don't know if it is on your interest, maybe a lot of research would be needed. But a top 100 genesis game would be awesome to watch next.
@@thomasffrench3639 You should... Like he said in the video. If you enjoy rpgs in any capacity, then you will probably enjoy chrono trigger. It is pretty short too, for an rpg, 15 hours, maybe 20 hours for a firs time player.
@@diegog1853 I will get to it eventually. I was kinda kidding, because I know that 16-bit RPG fans don’t like Final Fantasy VII for some reason. I think it’s a great game. Also is the steam version any good? I know it has extra content that sucks, but can I just skip that?
@@thomasffrench3639 I love ff7, second best to ff6 in my opinion. Don't play the steam version, it is based on the mobile port and it is kind of crappy. I heard that with mods it is okay, but if you worry about the content. As far as I am aware there isn't any relevant new content that is not on the DS port. But new content in chrono trigger kind of sucks anyway... at least in comparisson with what is included in the vanilla game. The best thing about it is the anime cutscenes introduced since the ps1 version, and I don't even like them very much, they distract from the in-game cutscene a little bit. Snes, ps1, DS, any of those versions is perfectly fine. Ps1 version has anime cutscenes, the Ds version has an extra semi dungeon, which is kind of bad honestly, and also kind of a pet monster minigame on the side. Honestly the best feature of it is the ability of tracking what endings you've got in the menu screen. But again, every version is fine and there is nothing wrong with just playing the original.
@@diegog1853 the problem is that I want the new script, because I tend to prefer the revised scripts of the remakes for Final Fantasy VI, and I think that it would be the same with Chrono Trigger. Also every version except the steam version is super expensive, and I don’t feel like emulating. I’m just wondering how good it is. The graphics look pretty similar to me.
Love to see DQ5 get some well-deserved love. You mentioned the original and the DS remake, but there is also a PS2 remake, which is at least the best looking of the bunch.
Pac-Man 2 is a monumental part of my childhood. Me and a now-estranged cousin spent several summers in a row in her basement screaming at Pac-Man until we finally beat it. DKC 1 and 2, A Link to the Past, and Megaman X were all options on the table, and we certainly put them through their paces over those summers, but Pac-Man 2 was the game that I thought about all school year long waiting for summer vacation, hoping that this would be the time we could finally conquer it. As we aged, she "grew out" of video games and my summers were spent unsupervised rather than my being shipped off to relatives, so I don't think we ever beat it. If we did, I have no memory of it. I've always been afraid to play it again, I'm certainly not as patient and having someone to pass the controller to when the little yellow bastard makes you want to choke him made the frustration more tolerable, and even fun. But maybe I should give it a whirl again, you might have convinced me. Thanks for putting respect on its name. Do I get some kind of official "Friend of Jason Graves" certification now?
Dragon Quest V at #1 is a excellent choice. It is my favorite dragon quest game. The story in that game is absolutely incredible, the ability to catch monsters and battle with them is awesome and the music in the game is incredible too. Your story about Earthbound resonated with me too. I didn't necessarily get super into it the first time I played it and abandoned it in the middle of my 1st playthrough, but then went back and played through it fully and it became one of my favorite SNES games and I replayed it a few times after that and enjoyed it a lot each time.
Thank you for the great video, I really appreciate you putting in all the effort to create this. 2 hours plus that's what i'm talking about. 🙂 Most UA-camrs only be making lazy 10 min videos, where you barely gain any information. Where as this, So refreshing, I learnt so much. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely do watch True Lies, it's the action movie genre deconstruction, and it is absolutely hilarious. Probably best-aged of the Arnie movies, I'd put it up there with Total Recall and the Predator.
"She took the ice cube trays outta the freezer- what kinda SICK B!+€H takes the ice cube trays outta the freezer." -Tom Arnold's character talking about when his wife suddenly left him. 😂
Shin Megami Tensei at #36! FUCK YEAH!! I have been waiting for this one and ecstatic to see it both acknowledged and so firmly placed in the top 40. Liked, commented and now subscribed!
I really enjoyed this. The guests popping up giving their thoughts vary things up a bit too. The guy that sounds like Walken though is borderline unintelligible I dont know if thats a bit or whatever or a mic issue but good stuff nonetheless. You need to do a Genesis top 100, would love to see it.
Top quality content once again man. Your patreon is well worth supporting to keep you producing this stuff. The only thing I'll argue the toss with you about is how far back on the list star fox is 😂. Nice work.
Donkey Kong Country 3 is bar none the best in the entire series. I am someone that has beaten all titles from Gameboy through current tropical freeze multiple times. What DK3 did to the series in so many ways, especially when it didn't have to for it to be successful, shows you the passion and creativity rare had during this time. Another thing to mention is that Trixie Kong is bar none the best Kong in the family, minus the ye old Kong they call Cranky. I am obsessed with the DK series, but DK3 is my favorite installment bar none. One of the first video games I ever purchased with my own cash at 9 years old was DK1 on SNES.... doesn't hold a candle to number 3.
This is my last comment. This is a great and refreshing list for people who are sick of banal and humorless exercises in listing the same Super Nintendo games over and over. Genuinely surprising and interesting and fun.
Great video as always, really happy to see Dream Land 3 and Dream Course getting some love PS since you brought it up: I would moderate expectations with Trials of Mana if you don't wanna have a Live A Live situation happen again. Game is basially a prettier, more unbalanced, much more jank version of SoM. If it had actually released here it would probably be known for half of the mechanics either not working, being easily exploitable or being useless
0:12 I feel like the best console is the PS2. Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but whenever I think of video games, I think of PlayStation 2. It doesn’t help that SNES fans suck because they will put down NES Platformers, and PS1 RPGs, which are on par or better than the SNES counterparts. And they haven’t even played Dragon Quest V, or the best RPG on the SNES. And no I haven’t played it, but it definitely is the best one.
PS2 RPG's are underrated. Breath of Fire V is the shit. Weird action-"RPG" games like Dark Cloud are still better than most modern games. I also like the other weird RPG games like the second Valkyrie Profile or those weird SMT action-RPG's lol. And SMT 3: Nocturne is the greatest JRPG ever, IDC what anyone says lol. The other SMT games aren't too shabby either to say the least. Either way, the PS2 has the greatest console library by far. Breadth and depth. Tons of different awesome genres, some genres even being invented right on that console. There's like 50 good games on there AT LEAST lol. Most console libraries don't even have 20.
Correction: It's the Ancient Cave that has the back to level 1 and no equipment gimmick, not the Tower of Sacrifice, which is a random midgame dungeon. Aside from this one blunder, great video.
@@juststatedtheobvious9633 I almost get the feeling that he didn't even have a script actually written for that part when recording the voiceover and was using the... seemingly random bit of footage he picked to use as the base for the point he was trying to make and didn't bother checking if what he said was even remotely correct? Like one of the few things people unanimously know about when it comes to a series as obscure as Lufia is the Ancient Cave, so it feels like he just added it at the last second. I imagine that this video has been a pain to make, what with all the collabs and the sheer length of it, so it wouldn't surprise me if this was just one of the major things that just wasn't caught on while in the making in the possibly months it took to finish it.
I use to play Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 while waiting to go to school in the morning, beating the game on very hard with all flawless victories using Noob Saibot. Good times.
I finished ZAMN! On real hardware, too. No cheats. You're still right, though. It's the toughest of the nearly 100 games I've finished for the system so far. And that includes stuff like ActRaiser 2, Hagane, and Plok. The bosses are bullshit and the password system is just broken.
Omg I played pac man 2 with my grandma for hours, we had it on genesis. I watch these countdowns all the time, this by far is one of the best. All the guest reviews and fresh takes, I didn't expect to watch the whole thing in a sitting. Great job!
love this list for the most part (you are unhinged for that pacman 2 shit lol). I actually quite enjoyed your critique of DKC 1. That kind of minutia isn't really something people talk about with those games. I'm interested to one day get your take on Secret of Evermore. To me it feels much less archaic than Secret of Mana. What a list though, hard to argue with for the most part (except pacman 2 you psycho). Great vid all around
I live on youtube and have watched countless reviews on video games and i have never seen anyone use so many different cameos from others. That is very unique and ground breaking. I am actually curious how you got in contact with them, like did you find email addresses from them? Any decent sub sized creator will take awhile to respond to your one of hundreds or thousands of comments if ever.
@JasonGravesPoser I knew it!!! Well you managed to save my sub by being a fellow star fox hater. I guess I will stick around for harvest moon review. (In all seriousness thanks for the content 👍)
I’ve watched the first 30 so far and it feels like you kind of hate a fair deal of these Edit: not saying that detracts from how fun it is to watch or that I disagree. It’s just funny to me
dang when you said 3 MetroidVanias I would've bet anything the last one would be Hollow Knight lol I'm the same way with the genre btw, the only ones I like are the ones you mentioned (plus HK & Dead Cells). Give it another chance brother, I think you'll vibe with it if you just stick with it. Great video though, subbed!
Death and Return of Superman. I never read the comics but I did see a cartoon version of the story on Netflix and there are a lot of similarities to the game. A gigantic hell creature is destroying everything (don't remember Doomsday's story, I think Lex Luther found an artifact that was some sort of prison module, opened it and set Doomsday free). Superman comes to the rescue but has clearly met his match. Huge fight ensues. Superman with his last energy charges and delivers a huge blow just as Doomsday does the same, both crashing to the ground. Lois runs out and Superman dies in her lap. So that part is very similar and like the game all that happens in the first 1/4 of the cartoon. Here is where everything changes. The game continues with the fake Supermen before getting back to the real one (again, this could be similar to the comic but is not what happened in the cartoon). Eventually Superman returns but seems slightly off. His interactions with Lois in particular show something is up. She follows him and finds him reporting to Lex Luther. The new Superman is actually a Lex clone (that Lex was able to make because Superman actually bled while he was fighting Doomsday) who unsurprisingly fights against Lex's control. Superman eventually does come back in a weakened state (with a cool black uniform to help him absorb more solar radiation and long hair that you'd enjoy) and using some of Lex's toys is able to defeat the clone Superman.
My gut feeling says he's going to make Harvest Moon #1 and segue it into his next video. He said he wasn't looking forward to playing it, but judging by his love of Uncharted Waters, Harvest Moon might be one of his surprise hits. Or its going to be top 40 or something. I dunno.
The reason how I know that SNES fans aren’t real fans is that they never say that Dragon Quest V as the best SNES RPG and instead put on Final Fantasy VI.
Blizzard (then Silicon and Synapse) never actually licensed the songs for Rock N' Roll Racing. They were completely unlicensed. I'm curious if Mike Morhaime has the story on how they avoided getting sued into the ground.
I disagree with every game and rank.
Make a video of your top 100
You have hands and the gall. Do it yourself. I can't, so I don't.
He thinks Mode 7's simple background trick is arcade quality sprite scaling and rotation , therefore I can never take another opinion of his seriously..
Nobody can be wrong on the internet, especially about an important subject like games from 3 decades ago.
I’m sorry ur wrong. He is 100% correct. U r foolish for saying so.
Lol
Thank you so much for having me on! The dedication that goes into making a video this long and with such a diverse range of games discussed is super impressive!
No lets tease him instead
he has no idea how much we like the channel he'll think we're actually mad >:O

61 43:02 Street Fighter 2 (all versions): OK ports.
60 44:11 Cybernator: Masaya made a fun series boring.
59 44:59 AD&D: Eye of the Beholder: Dungeon crawler.

38 1:08:00 Ultima: the False Prophet: That looks so funny.
37 1:09:15 Super Mario RPG: Co-pro Square bland.
36 1:10:41 Shin Megami Tensei: I saw some footage and was impressed with the sound design and overall design.
35 1:11:31 Wild Guns: Natsume, I’m formerly proposing. It’s supposed to be hard. It’s loads of money stuffed into like 5 screens.
-34 --1:12:30-- Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals-
33 1:13:39 All Super Bomberman games: Bomberman/Dyna Blaster.
-32 --1:14:56-- Dragon Quest VI-

28 1:22:07 SMW 2: Yoshi's Island: Much too easy. Bland theme.

25 1:27:12 Actraiser: WTF am I looking at? Awful.

19 1:36:49 Metal Warriors: See Cybernator.

4 2:05:11 Earthbound: Ahh how cute to think about and never play. Reskinned jrpg number x.
3 2:10:26 Super Metroid: Controls. Fail.
-2 --2:14:27-- Chrono Trigger-
-1 --2:22:16-- Dragon Quest V-
That leaves the worst port of Puyo Puyo as my fave.
@@iwanttocomplain Why did you do all this work? lol
Also, what? The DKC games are vanilla? And A Link to the Past isn’t a RPG.
Thanks again for having me on, Jason, it was a lot of fun digging down into the history of the Pocky series and offering my own spin on it. To show my appreciation, I've got four comments here for the price of one, take your pick:
1) Awesome work writing through this monster of a project without defaulting to any handwavey cliches, this is your video from front to back.
Thank You for being on!
pac man 2 is underrated if anything
@@JasonGravesPoser Film Cow played Pac-Man 2 on Genesis. He seemed to think it’s better but it ain’t. The music is actually OK. In fact, NAMCO were really good at FM. But it’s a bit of a scrappy port overall.
L + Ratio + You disrespected star fox
I can't believe you put Chrono Trigger above Pac Man 2.
This is unforgivable.
he had to throw something out there for the basics.
Thanks for the entertaining video. I appreciate your hard work. This must have been a beast to put together
Thanks for watching!
Excited for more ⭐
Great to have you on!
always super cool to have a boredjord sighting !!
It’s amazing how different you see NES and SNES games when you’re a child vs someone like me, a 48 year old man who grew up with these games.
Yes, that was almost exactly how Superman died in the comics. Except Doomsday beat up the rest of the Justice League first with one arm literally tied behind his back lol
Why putting stuff on the list you don't enjoy?
No game "needs" to be on the list, it's your list regardless of how bad it seems to other people.
I love seeing highly coveted games that suck balls get called out. The hero we needed
That dq6 review gave me an aneurysm
Man that was fucking Terrible
Harvest Moon is still right next to the #1 spot. It just sort of fell on the floor and nobody noticed it wasn't getting up while they were cheering on Dragon Quest V.
I too feel this game might be the very best SNES game too. It’s the most unique gameplay style of any of the games that just instantly feels right and fully formed. Impressive for a first game. Natsume are the number 1 developer even though they didn’t develop HM.
Awesome list! I'll take an authentic list over an attempt for some objective one any day of the week - even if you did my boy Pilotwings dirty.
alright i did it i made it to the end. it took me 3 nights but i enjoyed every moment of it. my final notes after 2 previous posts:
1) I love that recap music video you did.... masterful editing of the games jumping around to the beat. i wish this was an equalizer plugin i can use lol. You should release it as a separate video. and
2) I am a little dissapointed by how little you had to say about your #1 pick.
Good luck with everything,
Cheers.
Another game I think worthy of the list that is Japanese only is Legends of Rudra. And the 5th Fire emblem.
What’s missing!
Mickeys magical quest
Parodius
Secret of evermore
Batman returns
Uniracers
Chaos engine
Killer instinct
There are quite a few good games that arent on this list, but I guess you can’t mention them all. And the guy put Pac Man 2 above Zelda, what can you expect? lol
he delivers again!
great video man
i don't think i've ever even heard of pacman 2 but the fact you put it at 12 AND above zelda is HILARIOUS. this channel has turned out to be an amazing sub. so glad i found it.
The "Final Fantasy Tw-Four-o" shtick never gets old.

It’s nice to see original thought in the UA-cam sphere.
Super excited for this one 😊. The first video I watched of yours was the top 100 nes games. Watched it all and dug it and then subscribed to checked out the rest of your stuff. I'm even in your patrion ❤. Looking forward to it 🎮
Waiting patiently... I love lists 45:44 and 1:15:00 are the best parts 😂
Subbed!
That IS how it goes down in the Death of Superman comic. Both Superman and Doomsday uppercut each other at the same time and it kills Superman.
Okay that’s hilarious. Never was into the continuity bullshit of Superhero comics.
I played Earthbound with my dad as a kid, have helped work on the Chrono Trigger plus rom hack, but have NEVER played a Dragon Quest game. Time for me to give number five a shot
Already I don't know whether to be upset that Super Metroid isn't Number 1, or disappointed that it _is_ number 1.
ALL RIGHT!
Such a great system, and now I have 1000 of the games for 13 bucks on a little Ole thumb drive. Love it. Rocking earthbound first
Really enjoyed your takes and though we have very dissimilar tastes, i always appreciate someone with their own fully unique favorites that isn't afraid to get some heat.
Top 100 Nintendo 64 games will be very interesting considering that's most of the library
We need a bunch of top 100 N64 games lists, so I can decide which N64 games to play.
Idk if there are 100 n64 games worth playing
I doubt I could hit more than 20, if even.
Are we there yet ?
yeah
The guy did a list of the 100 "best SNES GAMES", 90 generic JRPGs at the best positions and the 10 best games on random positions.
JRPGs are his favorite genre and this is his top 100 list so...
@@SusieUndertale The title is not "My 100 favorite SNES games". The tile is "The top 100 SNES of all times".

LOL
Gotta say, pretty engaging video, DQ5 is my favorite too for a lot of the same reasons, but just a genuinely interesting video overall.
i farted once on the set of Blue Lagoon
That was YOU? I knew it!
Putting FF3 as number 10 this man has guts
I started watching this piecemeal throughout the week on work breaks and I have to say, it's been a real journey. While I don't agree with every choice, I was entertained, and I really like your comical timing. Thanks for sharing your top 100!!
good video, Im floored by the quality of your content. found you from the goodwill video.
Well I haven’t played it, but it would be hard to beat Final Fantasy VII
Most UA-camrs only be making lazy 10 min videos, where you barely gain any information.
"She took the ice cube trays outta the freezer- what kinda SICK B!+€H takes the ice cube trays outta the freezer."
-Tom Arnold's character talking about when his wife suddenly left him.
As a guy who considers A Link to the Past his favorite game ever, I lmao’d when PAC-Man 2 was #12. Well played, you magnificent S.O.B.
oh hell yeah
*Returns when he has time to watch* THREE HOURS LONG. Thank god I literally just bought popcorn.
okay two and a half hours but whatever
*loud whisper* mario 3 /is/ better
good list, good synopsis of great games on a great system
Great vid! But why so much hate toward Soulblazer 😂
You sir, are a legend for making this video.. bravo 👏
Great video, very professional and charismatic. On the nes control pad: b is before and a is after. What it's all about? Beating the game!
please keep making these console list videos they're so fuckin good
This is my last comment. This is a great and refreshing list for people who are sick of banal and humorless exercises in listing the same Super Nintendo games over and over. Genuinely surprising and interesting and fun.
I keep picking up Earthbound and putting it down and I'm so mad I've never gotten a bike before
Awesome vid, but where did you find that Dunkey ripoff?
Really enjoyed the video and all the cameos
Outstanding work
Great video as always, really happy to see Dream Land 3 and Dream Course getting some love
PS since you brought it up: I would moderate expectations with Trials of Mana if you don't wanna have a Live A Live situation happen again.
He also got Mode 7 completely wrong, but agreed that this list outshines any mistakes.
'Not a shmup guy' should disqualify you from all gaming discourse but still I love this friggin channel
Comment to make the channel better I think.
Cool list, bud. I like to see different choices, especially pac-man 2 haha
Thank you for your time and effort.
I use to play Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 while waiting to go to school in the morning, beating the game on very hard with all flawless victories using Noob Saibot. Good times.
Just found this guy. I’m picking up what he’s putting down.
I'm scrolling through comments looking and waiting for someone to unironically correct your doki doki panic sparkster comment lol
We have a winner!
That google earth comment got me good. I subbed. You got in my head there.
The only thing I disagree with is the fact that you haven't watched True Lies.
Omg I played pac man 2 with my grandma for hours, we had it on genesis. I watch these countdowns all the time, this by far is one of the best. All the guest reviews and fresh takes, I didn't expect to watch the whole thing in a sitting. Great job!
"Play slots!"
"Hey be polite with women working the streets!!!"
love this list for the most part (you are unhinged for that pacman 2 shit lol).
You've never seen true lies ? Omg you have to watch it, it's a good movie!
I feel like Equinox was ranked way too high. Aside from that, great video
I live on youtube and have watched countless reviews on video games and i have never seen anyone use so many different cameos from others. That is very unique and ground breaking. I am actually curious how you got in contact with them, like did you find email addresses from them? Any decent sub sized creator will take awhile to respond to your one of hundreds or thousands of comments if ever.
i laughed when you tried to inhale King DeDeDe. and I'll fight you, great cave offensive is great. Lufia 2 "tower of sacrifice" ? Ancient Cave lol
At this point you are trolling me with the lack of harvest moon... haha 😂
Specifically you!! Seriously though I promise on my life harvest moon will be the next thing I upload
@JasonGravesPoser I knew it!!! Well you managed to save my sub by being a fellow star fox hater. I guess I will stick around for harvest moon review. (In all seriousness thanks for the content 👍)
I’ve watched the first 30 so far and it feels like you kind of hate a fair deal of these
Edit: not saying that detracts from how fun it is to watch or that I disagree. It’s just funny to me
42:28 its Junt/Red Cow!
You hurt me with where you place Hagane, Metal Warriors and Descent of Jihad
Don't you know those are 3 2 and 1, respectively?
damn no clocktower, or even mention of it. Wild.
That’s immediately what I thought when Super Famicom was a criteria.
dang when you said 3 MetroidVanias I would've bet anything the last one would be Hollow Knight lol I'm the same way with the genre btw, the only ones I like are the ones you mentioned (plus HK & Dead Cells). Give it another chance brother, I think you'll vibe with it if you just stick with it. Great video though, subbed!
Fun Fact: The actor for the original Red Ranger from Power Rangers went to prison last year for wire fraud.
I thought your video was very very funny… and also very informative. I actually still have some of the cartridges you were talking about.
Love the list. Happy to see old favorites like BoF2, Goof Troop, and Turtles in Time get some love. Tons of good memories in those.
39:05 Finally, a review that explains how Kirby became the Pentagon's spokesperson, this is the one thing in games that always eluded me.
"Not quite as heroic as the dad in dragon quest five". hahaha Jeez that made me laugh and feel guilty at the same time.
My gut feeling says he's going to make Harvest Moon #1 and segue it into his next video. He said he wasn't looking forward to playing it, but judging by his love of Uncharted Waters, Harvest Moon might be one of his surprise hits.
Or its going to be top 40 or something. I dunno.
How'd you know!?
Bro is a psychic lol
My gut feeling needs a haircut.
I'm really happy to see Lost Vikings as an honorable mention. The Genesis version is better though since it had 3 player support
Dragon Quest V first place?
LOL!
