It's been about a month and a couple of weeks since I've had my hands on Samsung's latest flagship, the S24 Ultra. And let me tell you now, if you thought last year's S23 Ultra is an amazing smartphone. THIS. This S24 Ultra takes an already almost perfect smartphone, and turns it up a notch. It's more of a refinement, but at the right places. The S24 Ultra feels more refined and perfected over last year's S23 Ultra. The new titanium body (we've seen this before), and the new anti-reflective coating on the display is incredible! The 200-megapixel camera in my opinion is still a gimmick, but I'll let the sample photos speak for themselves.

Minus all of its issues and it's absolutely horrible voice typing. Also Bixby is sort of rerarted and I sincerely hope that Google assistant with Gemini gets better and can replace Bixby. It's so frustrating how dumb Bixby and Samsung keyboard / voice input is.
@patc2515 Do you know how to speak clearly? Cause I have had zero issues with the voice. I'm not trying to be rude.

Today, March 1st is my S24 Ultra's birthday. On Feb 1st I received it and it's been magical since then, also it was great/amazing that I dumped a shtty iPhone and will never ever get that restricted/limited POS iPhone

I wish we could choose certain apps to use the full processor power.

can you answer me please i bought s24 ultra on 22 fab, but my battery drain is too fast even in standby mode. I am using Always on display, dark mode , FHD resolution not QHD. still drain fast.142% screen on time 6 hour 42 minutes.. give me tip please
That’s solid actually. Try light mode and get rid of Always On Display.
I heard that not ALL AI features are going to the older phones.
Also, it is not a sure think that AI win all be subscription. I saw a Samsung exec quoted as saying that basic AI features that we have now could stay free with more advanced AI features being put behind a paywall.
Is the 100x Zoom better on the s24 ultra (post update) or the s23 ultra?
No. I still think the 23U was better than the new phone, even post update.
I’ve got a IPhone 13 Pro Max. I am thinking of getting an Samsung S Ultra Series/ whatever the latest one is when I decide to get one. Anyone who owned a newer iPhone know if the move to Samsung is worth it? I do also have a MacBook M2 15” so the ecosystem may be different but planning on getting the Samsung Watch with the phone.
I use a Mac also and have the S24U. If you use airdrop a lot just use send anywhere and there is quite a few others that use the airdrop protocol. And it transfers faster than airdrop.

Yeah, so that's something I should've mentioned but it is ever slightly shorter. Just because of the more 'flatter' profile. But it's not really noticeable in hand though.

Even though the update did bring lot of good things, but still Palm Swipe gesture isn't working on S24 ULTRA.
every other device, it works really well, but in S24 ULTRA, always an issue
I hope Samsung will take this into consideration and do something about this in the upcoming update

I noticed with my S22 Ultra, you could choose a photo, tap on an object in that photo, like a car or something & hit the "eye icon" top right & you would get the same "Circle to Search" results feature.
I got $800 for my S22 Ultra from my carrier & had to grab the new beast 🤟
I love my S24 Ultra but, it doesn't seem to be as bright as my S22 Ultra was when watching a HDR Movie outdoors or while sitting in my car..
That's with everything turned to Max & Movie Brightness Setting On.
Maybe it was just the movie.
It's definitely heavier & I love that.
When using it, it's like your only using a portion of it's power.
You shouldn't put the brightness to max, if you want the 2600 nits peek brightness on the s24u you need to use auto brightness.
Actually you don't need to apply a screen protector All you need to do is go and buy some liquid glass you squirt some drops of it on a clean phone screen and just follow the directions on how to finish applying it and it makes the finish hard as nails and your screen will not crack or scratch.

Im still rocking my S23 Ultra. Didn't really see the need to get the S24 Ultra. Especially now that we are getting the AI updates that the S24 Ultra has by the end of March 😂

Less post processing? Here the 50/200mp in normal mode have a terrible result. Such a shame for a flagship phone.

The 5X replacing the 10x was a mistake. They should replace the 5X with the 3x. And make that 10x a 50 mp lens as well
Yeah, I think what they can do to really compete or want to do better than Xiaomi/Oppo/Vivo is to have all 50MP cameras. .5x, 1x, 3x, and 6x. I think 10x is TOO zoomed in and can easily get a digital zoom of 10x.
The March update for S24 ultra just came out. It improved the long range zoom. 20x and 30x zoom is much better now ❤📷

This phone still sucks after the update.
Battery is still shit, camera processing still needs tonnsss of updates, after feb update there are further bugs arised in ui
After the update, I've noticed a significant battery drain issue.
Previously, I was able to achieve over 9 hours of screen-on time, but after the update, it has dropped to 6-7 hours.
Already rise complain via samsung member>Send error report and samsung website via mail.

Weird. No battery drain issue for me. Camera compared to other flagships from Xiaomi/Oppo/Vivo… I can tell it’s not great haha but for everyone in the US though it’s a damn great camera system vs the iPhone.
That's unfortunate. My battery lasts for days. My camera works well. But then again I also don't expect it to be medium format quality.

Is video sample footage purely unedited? If so then I think Samsung did a really good job in improving their video capture performance with the S24 Ultra. The color science is amazing! This can easily give iPhone a tough competition. Kudos to Samsung

Honestly, i think 90% of the AI features are gimmicky i hardly use any of them so even if they suddenly went behind a paywall i do not think i would be missing much in terms of features and everyday use
Correction, some of the AI features may not be free AFTER the END of 2025.
Right. SOME and at the end of 2025, but this shouldn't have been a thing and would've been a much nicer perk to have exclusive for the S24U since it has the SD8G3 processor with all those AI chops. Shame they'll charge in the future.
The S 24 was marketed purely on AI features, I'd be kicking myself now if I just purchased an s24 only to find out that 99% of the AI features are coming to the most recent devices.
I don't know about the ultra because it's to be for my pocket lol.. but I got the s24 plus and it's 🗑 I compared my s21 plus side by side.. 1. S21+HD screen looks way better! 2. I don't like the way they copied the style of a iPhone 😒..3. I like the curve screen not the flat screen! Looks more like an iPhone.. 4. Galaxy s21 looks bigger and it is bigger in images.. s24 images looks small.. Hopefully they come back with the original trademark..
Seems like you might wanna look into the OnePlus 12. Might be JUST the upgrade you’re looking for. Curved screen, not too big, and has powerful processor like this and comparable cameras.

I didn't have any issues! Since it's flat, and all of dbrand skins are pretty much cut to the tea, it's as simple as ripping it off from the adhesive paper and applying it onto the phone.

Yes, it is an issue for sure but not one that will be fixed overnight. There was banding on the S23 Ultra, but it seems worse on the 24 Ultra sadly.
Just tested this in 4 stores (EU, FIN). Had to show the salesman gradient test etc... The S "Flagship" was crap compared to an A series phone...
