Congratulations for your race!!! The footage you did is amazing, you really captured the spirit of the marathon, runners were doing their best but the crowd definitely helped moving them to the finish line!!!!
Great job Nick. Must have been great to be part of your pack. Biggest problem I felt was the first mile which was a battle zone trying to get past hundreds of what seemed like very slow joggers. I don't understand how these groups could be running alongside sub 3 pace. Other than that, it is the best of all the majors in my opinion.
Dude! This is amazing footage! Coincidentally found this video and realized we were standing right next to each other at the start! Nice to see myself charging up the bridge. Thanks for sharing Nick! 🙏 Would also be cool to find the footage of the camera crew at 100 meters in the race.
Thank you Nick for this. Omg the assurance you must has given to those guys following the 245 pack must be good. Also your aerobic fitness is crayyyzy! More of this please!
I've been struggling to get motivated to do my strength training. Listening to those crowds pumps me up in the gym. Thanks for putting out good content
LOVE IT..!!!! NYC delivers BIG every time..!! What a race thanks for sharing, brought back awesome memories, you brought the party this time Nick..!! Let’s GOOOOO..!!! 🎉
Nick is my new favourite running tuber not only smashing his goals he selflessly helps people smash there’s awesome vid wish my vids were as epic and awesome
Crazy your ability to run that pace and pace them all so well just to their goal. I hope and I know they all realize how lucky they are to have you a Pace them. I’d pay serious money for that.
For me personally the pace is insane, im training for a 55 min 10km run and just seeing you guys run a marathon with an average pace of 16kmh with such a low hr is incredible
Love that runner at the end. It's awesome to see someone that excited, always an awesome feeling, to have a good race and execute it well. Keep doing what you doing Nick, love the content and love following your journey, and I use your journey as motivation to keep pushing my training and races.
All my training is on Strava, my method I suppose. My HR average for this race was 145 so I was comfortable hence why I could film and chat. If it was a full send then this would have been a different story
Hey Nick, I honestly think this one might be more challenging than Berlin last month. I can’t imagine how many times you need to hold yourself back to run “a long slow distance” session in such electric atmosphere with this amazing crowd and adrenaline rush 😅
Great video Nick.. I recently bought the Insta360 Go3s and was wondering about the logistics involved while filming during the race. Since the smaller camera can record only for 30-35mins do you charge it during the race? If so, do you keep the bigger pod in your pocket? What about the selfie stick?
No I start/stop it in the race. I’ll speak through it in more detail in the my post race recap video I’ll release on Sunday. Not easy when the crowd is screaming so loud that you can’t hear if you’ve started or stopped it 😂
20ks in his heart rate is below 150 at a sub 4min pace! I just ran a half marathon at 440km pace and 30 seconds in my heart rate was above 160 and stayed that way the whole 90 mins 😅
I reckon that heart rate of his is slightly into his Zone 3. That was probably a very long LT1 session for Nick. What an athlete! What an inspiring performance!
Yeah sure, he stuffed up and he knows it. Just like the rest of us. Not good. But on the other hand he has encouraged so many to take up running. So I really hope he doesn’t get too much online abuse. Stuffed up. We can all learn from it. Let’s move forward.
Thanks for pacing the party pack, even though I could only hang on until 30k 😆 Sub-2:50 for the first time, at least, woo!
Lovely stuff!! It’s a pleasure and that’s still a very solid result! Well done 👏🏻
Congratulations for your race!!! The footage you did is amazing, you really captured the spirit of the marathon, runners were doing their best but the crowd definitely helped moving them to the finish line!!!!
The goal in life: finish any race with a heart rate as low as these guys.
Just walk it out 😅
The more your train and fitter you get. The lower your HR will be at your current speed 👊🏻
My old hs coach paced a 3:30 marathon group and his hr never hit 82bpm. Dude is a lizard
@@dalexander3136did not happen. Lmao
More of this nick please. Good to have this kind of POV
Don’t worry I still have plenty more races ahead 👀 enjoyed this one as I’m sure you could tell 🙌🏻
Love Nick's party pace vids! I hope the dude rocking your kit and gunning for 2:40 got his time!
Got it 💪 2:38, Nick is always my inspiration and at this time he gave me a strong push to achieve the target 💙🤍

Running at 3:44 pace with a 140 heart rate.... incredible.
Great job. Loved the vibe. And thrilled to meet you afterwards.

Well done ! You did it ! I found the race pretty challenging, especially with the bridges, but the atmosphere is just incredible !

I would love to run alongside Nick Bester and the Boom Shakalaka Gang! Great job guys!!
Dammm bro what a race really enjoyed like this video 😍btw the shoe they wear are 💀👀
What kinda shoes do you like
How on earth did he get that close to the front at the start 😂
Training for sub 2:45, the dream!
Go get it!! 🎯
Very nice job my sir❤
What training method did you use ? How did you talk and shout while running ? Incredible !
All my training is on Strava, my method I suppose. My HR average for this race was 145 so I was comfortable hence why I could film and chat. If it was a full send then this would have been a different story

Having a flashback to last year! 🙂🏃♂️
Please run sub 3 in London we need your guidance 🙏 amazing vedio!!!!
I did that last year at London. But next years one I’m giving a full send 🎯
Hi, nick.
Are you using 360 and another camera at the same time?
Hey, na just the Insta 360 camera. I had 2 but the one battery died. It records for 30 mins, so I stop start
20ks in his heart rate is below 150 at a sub 4min pace! I just ran a half marathon at 440km pace and 30 seconds in my heart rate was above 160 and stayed that way the whole 90 mins 😅
Nick, What kind of watch are you using on this marathon?
Garmin forerunner 965
@@justalilbester Thanks, Nick 😁
Damn my heart rate would've gone 180bpm going this pace
Hello, Nick! Who was that guy from Russia in your crew?
I can’t remember his name but hopefully he sees this comment and can reply
Bro you ran sub 2:45 at zone 2 lol
I reckon that heart rate of his is slightly into his Zone 3. That was probably a very long LT1 session for Nick.
What an athlete! What an inspiring performance!
what the camera you use when running?
Insta 360 GO3 S
the guy jogged a sub 2:45
Can we get a full marathon from this POV and all the stats?
NICK 2.19 BESTER LETS GOOO
Next full send marathon for me is London!! 🇬🇧
Was this an official pacing effort, or did you just adopt those runners? 😄👌🏻
I just told the runners around me, so unofficially official 😉
@justalilbester amazing! What an awesome thing to do!
153 bmp is my average in my easy run for a 6:30/km 😢
11:56 Free Palestine 👏
he's doing sub 2.45 like nothing...very low heart rate...finishing soo strong...
Great video but my goodness that incessant whooping was unbearable 24:48
why is the target sub 2:45 when you can run sub 2:20???
Care to comment on Matt Choi?
Don't see why he needs an opinion on it, I'm sure if Nick wanted to share it he will. We are here for Nick! 🎉

Great job! How the battery on your camera lasted that much? You were turning on and off? Its a Insta360, right?
It lasts about 30 seconds. Yes indeed I was turning it on and off
@@justalilbester thanks for your answer!
Love it!
