The whole point of this version is its range, not performance. So for someone who needs 540km (335miles) but do not want Tesla Model 3 (I really, really tried I just can't like that car) now there is some more choice. We have also Ford Mach-E single e-motor with extended range battery with 610km (381miles) of range , though it cost a bit more. And some other models in this price range. Things are getting more serious in EV world. It is still not quite there. We can see companies are a bit lost in their approach. Not to mention the whole situation with recharging stations. But it is getting better. While I do not plan to buy this year, I think next year will be the one, as we will have way more models to choose from (Chinese might join the game with stronger offer), the charging network will be in much better shape and hopefully the prices will stabilise a bit.
Model3 is good in any aspects except its front face, I just don't like it, and also the minimalistic interior. This looks like a good alternative so far.

The front seats were really rather small - both width and length. Anyone 6 feet and above beware. Everything else was really impressive, ride, acceleration handling etc.
Matt if i remember correctly you can soften the damping on the ohlins to make them more softer so they are better than the normal suspension you get without the performance pack
If you've seen the precept I'm sure they'll be around and even better. Although they really need to move that lidar sensor. Really ruins an otherwise stunning design

The Polestar is Chinese. China (Geely) are in the process of moving Volvo to China as they slowly hollow out western industry and jobs. They cannot get traction with their own brands so they use western brands against us. This hollowing out will eventually hollow out every single sector as they move all industries in house to China. China are literally an enemy, that may sound like hyperbole but it manifestly isn't. They are a communist/totalitarian regime. Partnership is not a part of their thinking process. It is the cover they use to slowly dismember western economies. They do not want partnership they want control and ownership. This is an will increasingly bleed in to political control and eventually erosion of western freedoms. China simply cannot allow freedom of thought or speech, it is not only antithetical but an existential threat to their regime. They cannot limit restrictions of freedom to their own country as this is a constant pressure on their regime. So they need to extinguish freedom in as many places as possible. All empires spread their model. This will eventually be true for us. We are walking ourselves in to totalitarian control. If you think it seems too far fetched then you need to think deeper and harder. If you think this process will be benign, it will not be. They will slowly tighten their grip on democracy. Your government will be controlled by China, you will not be allowed to change your government and your government will impose every single decision handed down by China. You will not be able to protest or question this decision. You and your children will grow up without any freedom for the rest of your/their lives. As one example China force sterilises people, in the 80's Chinese themselves, now Uyghurs.
