Any idea how much this build cost?
I am a major Chevelle guy. I own a 69. This one tops the BADASS list for me! 100% The build is flawless, the simplicity AND staying 100% true to the Chevelle... I just LOVE it! Kudos ❤
Awesome ride!
Can I borrow one of you guys' cars?
I want a 1969 sooo bad! I want to put a 572 mated to a 6 speed manual, with a deep blue almost purple paint job. I still have other cool toys to play with u til then. 88 corvette and 85 monte carlo
I respect the owner's "DOWN TO EARTH" attitude. A real "car guy".
Quite a contrast to those young fellas aiming for "Likes" over substance
This car....... it's Soo beautiful. Chevelle's are just amazing
Well 30 mpg on the hwy . At 75 85 miles an hour. Well it broke .50 miles and it fun on the phone . Legal in texas still hahaha poped a fuel pump 25 years ago in an 88 xr5 .loaded . Wife driving. ... ist anniversary . Oh she makes too much money .yep unibody let go. A long time ago 38 mpg. On hwy top end 118 miles a hour. L.o.l. lead the pac .1 29 to 135 . @@williamdolyniuk7804 I hope that wasn’t supposed to make fucking sense?
Down to earth? Really!? Lol
This car's idle sounds like it's getting ready to play "hot for teacher"
Sounds exactly like that
Closed my eyes and waited for the cymbals to kick in!
spot on !!!!!!!! I've brought my pencil...gimme something to write on !
YES
What do you think the teacher's gonna look like this year?
When you sell your muscle car and your new neighbor revs his V6 all day. This is how you come back to let em know who daddy is.
Had that happen to me. This idiot down the street from me had a raggedy Honda with a fart can muffler. He thought that car was hot. Drive up and down my street 24/7 with no license plate. The cops got him then he got evicted from his house. SMH
@@hotrodder5034 lol

Like my old neighbor and his Cobalt SS. At least 2-3 6,000 rpm revs every time he pulled in the driveway. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

That's f****** hilarious!!😂😂 you're right he does!!
LMAO 😂😂😂😂😂✌️✌️👍
Lmao
I'm a True blue oval Man, but I love this car. This is American as it gets. Chevy muscle done right 💪👌
Pure American muscle. Clean and mean
@BLUBLUD sweet car for sure. I remember someone I went to school had a 70 454 with the cowl induction hood and he could pull the front wheels about 6" or more. Of course it was not stock. But it was a badass car. Black with white stripes and BLACK SABBATH painted on the tail of the trunk.
😎😎😎💪💪❤❤❤😊😊😊
Sure do miss those times.
I mean. What's not to like. I personally like them all and don't see why people get so salty about the big 3. It's comparing apples to apples. lol
I'm a diehard Bowtie fan,but a 67 fastback mustang in my garage would be nice!
@Joey Balas Yes thats why I believe alot of the GM cars hooked better on the track. Myself have owned several uni- body Stangs and that was their cryptonite. I actually broke the a frame on one them racing it😝. I had a Friend who had a 69 396 Chevelle who had to chain his motor in because it once broke both motor mounts and the engine turned sideways 😳. He won the winter nationals with that car. Everyone knows Gm cars were cheaper to race. Ford did not make nearly as many preformance cars designed to race as Plymouth, Dodge, or Gm. But when they did they went all out. I love em all. If u ask me Pontiacs and Buicks made some of the fastest and consistant
Factory cars.
Anyone calling their car “The Beast” can stop now. This car Roars!! Simple yet effective!! Great video bro.
I love how the driver does not hold back straight balls to the wall!
Me too!!! You don't have hp like that and not enjoy it. That custom exhaust, yup, look out for pork products and let it rip!!!
If you have a car like that, you better!
Cars like that you are ment to drive, to enjoy, to become one with so you can push it to its limits
Check out the pov drive of scampman416 Not today biker boys!..that little Dodge fn rocks dude and sounds monstrous!
what color is it like exactly? thinking of making my 79 nova blue with black interior too and can’t make up my mind on the right blue
PURE ENERGY. I STILL HAVE MY FIRST CAR 70 CHEVELLE BOUGHT AT 16 AND NOW I'M 53.
That’s so cool! You’re smarter than most of us that sold cars we wish we still had
Also have my second car 70 olds cutlass supreme 350 rocket bucket seat a/c car.
Thats so cool.
66 tempest bought when I was 19.. still own it at ,54...👍👍👍
I am 25 and feel like I’m going to go thru a early mid life crisis, I’ve always wanted a classic car. My dream car is a 1969 Dodge Charger with a 440 Hemi. Love love love it. Good for you guys
The color is perfect! Can't beat a monster big block sound.
That is one Badass Chevelle! The look, stance, and the sound is simply amazing!
Agreed all the way 👊
Did he buy that car at Fleming’s
@@AutotopiaLA first of all I am a huge fan of your channel. I’m working on my Chevelle as well and wanted to know if he had to modify anything regarding the steering linkage?

Hi
I still come back to this video every once in a while just to look at this absolutely beauty of a car
This Car Look Like a "simple" 70's chevelle but under the Hood is a really Beast, and I love It!
And it’s not an ls it’s a miracle
@@yamahaguy1732 yes, I Love the Ls Swap But Sometimes Oldschool motors Is a Pure Orsgam
Cry96Booster everyone does ls swaps I mean I’m all for it if you do a special ls swap like an lsx or something like that but it’s just so copy and paste in the ls world
@@yamahaguy1732 yes i agree, the ls Swap is a good way to have a power, But is not a "custom" motor. @@EngineManiacBoy and we love the Italian cars!
This is exactly how you do an old school car especially with the wheels, a lot of people ruining these cars with godly wheels. Just keep it simple and pure to the era. Awesome car and video again, too bad it isn’t a stick though.
I love the classic 5 spike rims, they just fit on 90% of classics
you mean gaudy wheels. or ungodly?
Original poster is 100% correct....
A stick shift would be the cherry on top
This is perfect. Huge block with no annoying turbo or blower sounds. Just raw power.
Classic never goes out of style
This car is P E R F E C T, stock looks, period wheels and interior (mostly), and power galore
Agreed 👊
@@AutotopiaLA Fathom Blue, nice SS! Does the cowI induction vent still work? Ol' skool- I owned a '67 SS 396 (stock) w/4- speed manual. Loved it. Paint: Tahoe Turquoise, also a nice color.
@@AutotopiaLA My father owned a '70 Chevelle ElCamino SS 396 (stock), auto trans. Paint: red w/white hood stripes, clips and white vinyl top. Can't find another one like it.
I'd rather have that Chevelle over everything left in the garage. 70 SS is the most beautiful car ever. I had a 72.
I had a '69. I loved that car.
I had a 72 also
I'm in the minority but I prefer the 71 style
Agreed. 70 is my favorite. I own a 68 Cutlass Supreme and even though I love my car, I'd trade it for a 70 Chevelle.
@@ut000bs I had a '69 as well...same thought
Thanks for uploading this classic ride. I never seen anything higher than a 502 in a chevelle. For this man to go 632 its amazing and aspiring. I love how simple he kept it none of that bling and shine.. Shout out to the owner I can't wait to see at some shows... Best chevelle I have heard or seen. THANKS!!!
Had a 66 CHEVELLE with a 540 Big Block. Loads of fun.
Love how he punches it every chance he gets he knows cars are meant to be driven
Some folks look at vehicles as a necessity, an appliance to get from A to B and pinch pennies on the way. Some folks look at vehicles as a thrill ride to get goose bumps and smiles from ear to ear. I am the latter. This Chevelle is just incredible.
I’m with you all the way
In my head, when I've pictured a '70 Chevelle.. I still wasn't close to that beauty..
Perfect..
With the amount of awesome rides on this channel, I'm probably nuts, but I'd take this car over any of them. Even the other Chevelle's on here. This is a perfect car. People saying they wish this was a manual, I think you need both hands on the wheel!
Beautiful car. The only thing I would change is bringing the exhaust to the rear with those iconic cowbell tips.
On a side note: Doesn't matter who you are, how old you are, or how long you have been messin' with cars, nobody is immuned to that grin that you get when the peddle hits the metal of american muscle! 😄
I just saw 632 BIG BLOCK and just hit LIKE ! LOVE IT ! I got 3.8 Camaro and 5.7 but that 10.3 L is AWESOME ! PEACE FROM ROMÂNIA 🇹🇩🇺🇸🇹🇩
Tony: _Any cops right here? I'm gonna launch it._
Spotter Car: "Go ahead, Boss, he's on the payroll." ;-)
Bonus Plan: Saves on big expensive brake wear.
I owned a 1970 Chevelle SS LS6 and sold it like a fool in 1983. It was also fathom blue with white stripes and a black gut. I blew the first block up in 1974 and right away ordered a new LS6 short block from the dealer. I had head work done and also installed another cam. It had lots of power and was known in Connecticut as a very fast 1/4 mile car. I miss my car and did locate it in New England. They sent pictures of it to me and it almost looks as exactly as the day I sold it except for the wheels and Mallory ignition system. It also has the original paint on it too. I'm working on possibly buying it back so I can relive my high school days and into my 20's when I had it. You have got a beautiful Chevelle there.
So awesome! Especially when Tony nonchalantly says “she launches great…” haaaa love this guy! Bad ass car and the owner matches car for sure!
It’s one of Chevrolet’s best designs, it’s tough looking ! The whole car is well done and clean ! 👍👍
They handle great also, for a big car. I had 2, 70 SS Chevelles, a 396 and a 454, like others I wish I had kept at least one of them.
@@tesla416 my father had a 70 Chevell SS when he was in high school that he got from his uncle that dropped the 396 and put a 427 in it. Wish he wouldn’t have wrecked that thing would loved to have driven it 😢
It’s astounding that people can make 800+ HORSEPOWER NATURALLY ASPIRATED most people need HUGE turbos and super chargers. To even get to 600. This is insane
There is no substitute for cubic inches.
American muscle baby
All day long....
It also helps when you have 632 cc lol
Yep got me one of those big cube monsters in my car. That old sayin is true!
The BEST car ever. Perfect in every respect. You gotta show more cars. I love the way you can jump on it with no worries of hurting the car what-so-ever. Well done.
When the '70 Chevelle SS 396 came out back in the day, it was love at first sight for me. I still have a sketch of that beautiful front end of one I drew back then. The '70 Chevelle SS is truly a work of automotive art.
I love the 70 Chevelle. I believe that’s the nicest one I’ve seen. Shawn, you have the best job ever! Thanks for sharing really like watching your videos.
She almost has me in tears. Chills down my back. Amazing. No, truly amazing.

Watch Patrick Glen Nickels Barn Finds YT Chanel, if you don’t already! He is a world renowned 69 & 70 Chevelle SS, Copo etc. Authenticator! Basically, all he does is fly around the world/ US to authenticate mostly 70 SS Chevelle’s. Does some 69’s as well! He is a walking parts Manual for 70 Chevelle’s! Knows every factory part number by memory! He’s like rain main on them 70 chelly’s. Slow on the driveway on Sunday, that’s
70 Ls-6, with an AH radiator tag, yellow ce tagged 400 turbo auto trans, with the 70 LS-6 only pre 5th month Made only in kansas squared off racing stripe pin stripes. Lol. Sorry pat, but you’re a bad man when it comes to that stuff. All of what I said was an example and not all correct, as I am a 69 Real Deal Chelly COPO guy mostly and own a 70 Ls6 too but i spent my youth on 69 Chellys and still nowhere near PGN’s caliber.
I love seeing classics that don't look like something from an episode of pimp my ride.
My heart is pounding! Thanks for the ride!
Truly a beautiful Chevelle, alot of thought put into this build. I am truly grateful that he kept this beauty stock looking.
Timeless classic looks and brutal power, love it. It’s gorgeous
Pure power badass car a lot of love went in that car. I'm 67 been turning wrenches all my life. Got my license at 15 first car 67 GTX 440 six pack for Speed pistol grip shifter. Moral of story lost license at 16 pure rocket
Thanks for the story 👊
Now thats a muscle car ! All motor ! Love the exhaust sound ! It crackles!
Gorgeous car. I had a 70 Buick GSX Stage 1 Turbo-Hydro from 71 to 75 so I'm partial to GM mid-bodies from this era. Love everything about this car and the way it was built.
That is a pretty bad ass Chevelle! I can see how it launches and throws you into the seat when Tony gets on the throttle!! Awesome!!🤘🤘
These 10 min videos go by so much quicker than others.
Amazing ride. I love that it’s not overly done, just enough that it still looks like a stock Chevelle with some custom “mags”.
That car is the epitome of an American muscle car from that era. It takes me back to 16-17 and going drag racing (on the street) in Akron in a 69 Chevelle the same color with Cragar wheels. As well done as that car is just makes it that much more cool. Thanks for the ride!
And he’s added nitrous since the shoot!
Unbelievable sound. Like nothing else.
Total beast Chevelle
Listen to that cam!
The 70 Chevelle is my favorite year...that car is what big block Chevys are all about!
Perfect as is. Clean and mean
This is EXACTLY they way muscle cars should look, sound, and drive. This is the way Chevelles should be. Well done! This is badass
Love how simple he kept it but still has alot of work🔥🔥🔥
Dude that looked like a hell of a ride. That thing is a beast and sounds incredible👍👍
Tony or the car ?
632 cubic inches! 😲😲😲
WOW WOW WOW!!!
This SS is awesome!!! 👍👍👍
It’s a definite wow car
Can't get enough of watching this video. Gives a new meaning to "Grab-n-Go!!!!". Being a Chevy guy, it's always nice to hear good old American muscle. AIN'T NO RICE BURNING HERE!!!
I owned a 1970 SS for years. I had the block bored 30 over so went up from a 402. 12.5-1 compression Pistons, full race cam, chrome moly push rods, piston rings, lifters. High rise intake with a Holley Dual Feed 850 CFM Double Pumper Carb. 411 Gears in the rear. ( I broke 7 teeth off the ring gear one day)😂
It seemed to pass everything but a gas station! I put 7 HD Starters in it over several years. Got frustrated one day and sold it.
Every time I see a 70 Chevelle, it makes my heart ache!
She was special!
I love this. Probably one of my favorite restomods I’ve seen
Meanest sounding, & most powerful muscle car I’ve heard & seen👏🏼
This is one of my dream cars. The dual headlight coupe body style of this model year has always captivated me. I’d modernize the suspension with some Art Morrison c6 suspension upgrades, but the look would pay homage to the history as this one does.
The wheels and tires are perfect looking too, 632 NA really looks like the best way to go
You can tell, just by listening to it, it runs like it's out of it's mind.
If I remember correctly, Chevelles aren't sub frame cars. So they wouldn't need sub frame connectors. I'll pretend I didn't hear the question.
Yeah, still learning daily...but now I know 🤷🏼♂️
It would use frame stiffiners or braces
Ya, i caught that also. Gave me a good laugh.
literally just commented on this and the dude is out there doing burnouts on street slicks 😂😂
You are correct no subframe. I UPGRADED to a LS3 pulling a little over 650 Horses I blocked in the frame for support.
Not going to lie, the exhaust is unique. Can tell it’s custom. The chop chop and clamp clamp and pop pop. Is amazing. Beautiful car.

@@EtechnoTechno underneath the car the front and rear rails aren't connected with a center rail they use the floorboards to connect both front/ rear rails. When you build them like that the car flexes and bends especially during cornering but it will flex/bend all the time regardless
