    I just got mine the other day. I was going to get a treadmill anyway, but I got this for a few key reasons. Since it was powerless, I didn’t need to have it by an outlet and could move it around as needed. I could also change the monitor if it needed to be replaced. No motor so no need to have it replaced or have maintenance done on it, and no monthly subscription needed to have it be used to its full potential. And I got a slight discount at a local gym equipment store. I’m happy with it so far.

      So I have watched this guy's videos for the true form trainer, and have run on plenty of assault runners. I ended up pulling the trigger on the true form trainer at the start of this year. I like the quality and feel of it more that the previous assault runners I've run on. And went for the trainer over the true form runner as to save the $1.5k difference.

    • @seancasey5834
      @seancasey5834 3 роки тому +1

      To add, what j liked about the usage better on the true form is it is less of a "curve" and really makes you poeer it yourself. I like that more so it is less assisted than the assault. If you look at true form videos they talk about how it "makes" you run in good form.. this is absolutely true, if my form starts slacking rhe pace instantly drops and makes it known so you can correct yourself.

    I bought this treadmill based off your review and I wanted to update you as to what is happening with ours. It arrived a few days ago and we assembled it in our home gym yesterday. For a supposed new unit the track was really dirty with dirt caked into the lateral aspect of most treads. I honestly think it may not be new but maybe old rather than used and stored out in the open so it collected dirt?? Anyway, their are several rubbing sounds that occur at each 1 revolution with 1 of the sounds being like a scrapping sound that lasts for a full second or so while the treadmill is turning. We can see that the treadmill is not centered but closer to the right molding then the left molding by about 3/8th's of an inch when standing on it and looking down and watching that gap along the entire length of the right side between the revolving track and the side molding the track wobbles closer to and scrapes along the right molding and then wobbles back. The sounds are unnerving and oddly does not occurs on every revolution (so sometimes it wobbles and sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it wobbles worse) but on most, and that is even more disturbing to me. We are pretty upset because this cost 4K and arrived seemingly in second hand condition and out of alignment. We won't keep it for fear that it is a lemon. I wouldn't trust this unit long term let alone short term. I called the company asap and the young woman who answers the phone sent me an email at the ready that requires disassembly of the unit and molding and requires sanding the molding to address common types of *other issues* the company is aware of such that they had a ready made email to send out. Neither of the issues described in that email describe what is happening to ours. I sent an email back stating that I am not going to disassemble this unit that is brand new and start to sand the molding or throw glue at it like they suggest. They can send a new unit and collect this one or just collect this one and I will by from another competitor instead. My wife does not want me to deal with Assault Fitness again because of our experience with this unit. Four thousand dollars and they want us to start sanding, that would be ridiculous. Disappointing to say the least. I will update you once I hear their response to my email.

      I called and spoke with a polite customer care guy and he said the warrenty includes 1 year of service at no cost and if I I am willing they can send out a repair guy. My issue is I have 30 days with my credit card to declare it a lemmon etc otherwise I am stuck with it. So we will let it set for a few days and if it still makes noise I will call them and have them send s tech out but if its not within 30 days I will challenge the charge and make assault fitness pay to ship it back and at that point decide whether to allow them to replace it. With things this big and heavy you get shell shocked having to deal with moving it around and sending it back.

    My honest opinion is that it looks like it has cheap plastic housing and handles. Coop said it is expensive for a treadmill, it costs $4k.
    The Whipr 10 modality package costs $1,232, a high end bike trainer like Wahoo Fitness Kickr costs $900 (low end ones like Leisure Sports Bike Trainer Stand start at $74)
    Anyway, the way I see it you could a low end bike, lets say $600 hardtail, from your local bike shop, the Whipr package and a very high end bike trainer for $900, then including walking/running outside you would have 13 ways to get your cardio in, and have $1,267 left over which is enough for a nice pair of shoes and a loop resistance band gym set and maybe even a weight or two after that.

    When you read the comments, clearly the non-motorized / curved concept isn't sinking in. The commentary about the tread having momentum and being faster (like a motorized treadmill) is odd to me, I am sure there is a work out / training regime where you want the ground to be zero effort and just run to keep up with it. But that seems to be diversion from what the trueform / curve style is about. You see this with people requesting that it be inclined and have resistance. They should decide what they want to do and achieve, which might very well be running around uphill with some crazy bad form.

    Have you / will you review the X3 bar & bands system?
    Mainly for people in tiny Apartments that don't have room for actual weights, racks & machines?
    I don't expect it to be amazing, but looking to see if you think it would be even worth it compared to other bands, for people in small spaces 😁

    I somehow doubt that a 150,000 mile warranty won't be enough for any home gym. You would need to run a marathon every day for over 15 years to cover that. Even in a commercial setting the warranty would last decades.

    Would be nice if anyone has input on the the self driven treadmills that have a different handle set up and offer resistance to them so you can simulate sled pulls and pushes? Some are almost half the price of this and offer more of a variety of uses other than just sprint and walk. Has anyone used one before? Do they have heavy belts that offer a smooth and efficient sprint to them? Are they worth it over the assault runner?

      I’ve used the expensive Italian brand with the yellow branding in a gym in Colombia. I really liked them, but they’re super expensive. I keep hoping for rogue to make one that has the resistance option. I’d buy that thing so fast. They provide a nice training option.
