I'm still kinda confused on a non motorized tread that is powered by you, but costs so much more that ones with full momitors or screens and a motor...
Probably because the non-motorized treadmill is more likely to last longer and have less problems than motorized with big ipad looking monitor treadmill would
non-motorized treadmills use over 100 ball bearings, as well as a much heavier slat belt. Construction costs are also generally higher with curved objects.
I know I'm one of the few, but there's a curved treadmill at my local gym, and you just can't beat it. Compared to a normal treadmill it is just so much harder, and a lot more realistic. I do Sprints on it, somewhere in between a 10 - 20 second sprint, 30 second rest for sets of 10 - 15. Just a more enjoyable way of cardio in my opinion.
I have a TrueForm Runner that I got a couple of years ago but mine did not cost as much as stated here - more like the price of the Trainer. I guess they have gone up in price since then. I mean still really expensive but the thing is a beast. I also got a free shipping due to a promotion they had going on. With the curved deck and it being manual it does have a bit of a learning curve versus a normal motorized treadmill even with the fact that I am a forefoot/midfoot runner and don't heel strike. The monitor honestly doesn't bother me. I like that it's pretty basic becasue it's all I need. I actually just keep mine plugged in all the time.
I can tell you from experience, the trueform runner base will fit inside a newer Subaru Outback, but the handles will not. The handle does fit on the roof rack, though! I have pics to prove it.

A minor correction for you. You mentioned the heart rate monitor on the Trainer being bluetooth. It isn't. It is a Polar GymLink 5Khz setup. If you end up buying this like I did and assume your ant+ heart rate monitor will work you will be in for a surprise when it doesn't. I had to spend an extra $40 to get a compatible heart rate strap.
