TCS did my Gen4 swap 5 years ago, at that point I had my car for 15 years as NA, what a blast! Ty is the man!
My question for you is that does the 5sfe transmission fit on the 2gr? Because I'm planning to buy the swap from tcs

If I was starting over I would be doing this for sure. 2GR and you can turbo it later for Huge power if you want w/o even opening up the engine. Ty is the MAN though! He has hooked me up with a turbo kit, etc for my car. Even won one of his nice strut tower bars. ~ 300whp is a good bit in these cars and the sound of the opened up 2GR sounds better than almost any other V6 imo. The powerband of the 2GR is also better for the track than the 3sgte.

just had my 2gr swap done by them got it back from them in March with that engine this car boogies
How long did the swap take? From drop off at the shop to pick up and turn the key?
@@Ghosty_cat_ had my car towed down around Mid December got it back around March 21st and yes turn key as along as all your other stuff is good on the car
@@Ghosty_cat_ i just had to get my alignment done when i got it back as TCS does not provide that service but ive been drving the car as much as i can and she rips
@@donaldephlin5914 thanks man, I’ve been thinking of doing it. Did you have an NA or Turbo for the swap? I’ve been curious if they provide an LSD with the swap or if they keep your open diff if that’s what you’ve got
@@Ghosty_cat_ i had a trubo before the swap and i dont know if they provide transmission work but that might be something they can do they reused my gear box for my swap i know they dont do any interior work
My cousin has the v6 swap with a lotus supercharger. Makes right around 370whp.

Good video, but a well looked after MR2 with a 3SGTE will always be worth more money than an engine swapped example. I'd never convert my JDM 96 GTS for a V6. I'd buy an old NA to do it though, but then I would also seriously consider a K series instead.
