Dude was in the ring for 15 rounds with Larry Holmes. The fact that he can still talk AND has a sense of humor about him shows just how tough of a dude he is.
This is one of the most hilarious and humble interviews I've ever seen. Randall "Tex" Cobb is a legend for taking so much punishment from Larry Holmes and still cracking jokes. He has a great sense of humor and a positive attitude. I love how he respects Holmes and admits he was outclassed. What a class act!
A sense of humor and humility. What a class act. Too bad we still don't have many people like Cobb in the world today. It would be a better place if we did.
Nobody could take a punch like Randall. All the shots he took over the years in boxing, and he's still sharp and has a great sense of humor. He's 72 now.
That was one of the best interviews I have ever heard next to Ali. The man said it like it was with complete honesty (including telling people how slimy Don King was), he was funny, and also humble. A true treasure. Tex was one of a kind!
I met "Tex" many years ago after boxing and Hollywood. He was the nicest, most down home man I have ever met. I will always remember his huge, and I mean huge hands. He talked about the crooked fighting in professional boxing and it was plain to see that there was so much more going on then we will ever know. All in all, a good dude!
Tex has always been a great talk show guest. Self-deprecating humor and just an overall friendly guy. No ego at all, and often spoke highly of his opponents in the ring.
I remember he had one of the funniest lines when being interviewed by Joan Rivers. She asked him if he had any brothers and who was the biggest. He looked at her and said that would depend on where you measured us.
This is one of the most, nicest, respectful, honest, hardworking people ive ever met, extremely down to earth. Im proud to have bought this man a drink👍👍

"One of the most expensive things you can do is know Don King."
One of the toughest men to ever walk this planet. The fact that he had such a great sense of humor makes him that much more revered.
“Larry was playing an advanced game of tag and about 45min in I realized I was it.” -Big Tex is funny as hell.

You can totally tell how much Johnny loves this dude.
Not only could he take a punch. He had better timing and material than alot of comedians.

“I didn’t lose the fight, Johnny. I just lost the first 15 rounds.” I love it! 🤣👍
Johnny Carson; GOAT!

"The most expensive thing in the world is to know Don King." Boy, did that get proven time and again in the following decades.
How can you not like that guy? According to his Wikipedia page, he eventually graduated from college with honors. Seems like a good guy.
Randall "Tex" Cobb - Born May 7, 1950 - 74 years today - Happy Birthday!! ❤❤❤
This interview alone has made me a fan.
