Grantwn On Spey was the epicentre of the RSAC 1958 Scottish Rally.
The town , along with its hotels was then fill of Rally car teams. From what I've seen in the film, not a lot has changed!
A Superb Town, i was last up there this March, i really enjoyed returning.
I lived in Grantown ten years ago and spent my childhood there. It barely changed! Still beautiful.
I've lived in this place for about half a year, and I swear it's a magical place. Perfect for people who love nature. I really recommend
looks nice
Thanks for posting. Being a Grant meself from the States, it was a fun visit 6 years ago to Grantown on Spey with a side visit to Balmoral where my ancestors lived and worked. In fact, their pictures with Prince Albert and Queen Victoria were hanging in the guest cafe. Best wishes,
I've not been there myself but I've driven past it a couple of times going from keith (where I live) to Carrbridge.
I had a brief stay (2 nights) quite a few years ago; stopped at the Grant Arms Hotel with my wife and daughter, must have been in the early 2000s. Unfortunately I left with a poor impression of the place after being kept awake both nights by local yobs using the main road as a personal race track. Walking around the town during the day everyone just looked quite miserable and browbeaten. Was glad to be away and have never been back. I hope things have improved since then because it was such a nice looking town and the surrounding area is beautiful.
You should do a video about keith, it's quite nice over here.
Spent many of my school holidays in Grantown on Spey. Wonderful place, recommend having a walk down by the river Spey too. I live in Sweden 🇸🇪 now but Scotland 🏴 will always be my favourite place, wonderful people and the most beautiful place.
thanks Gray, passed through it few weeks ago with xmas lights on it was nice.
We were there about 8 weeks ago, lovely little village, my G/G/Grandfather John McLean was born there.......visited the Cromdale Church to see if I could find his headstone, really nice drive there and back
Lovely stuff 😊
Grantown looks a beautiful place the houses and hotels look really nice I love the stone houses, there’s quite a few excellent distillery’s in the speyside area
thanks dave, I will maybe visit one some time.
thank you for showing I enjoyed it
Glad you enjoyed it thanks.
Had a few nice meals in the Garth Hotel which you show at the start with a girlfriend and people we know who live close by to Grantown so recommend you try it if your ever up that way again.
thanks Tom will do.
We spent our honeymoon in Grantown on Spey in April 1978
Just started to watch this and there is a CooP and a Scotmid opposite each other and I know because I called on both as a rep.
Hi Tom, yip I think they are part of same company ?
CooP head office is in England and Scotmid is Scottish based as the name suggests and they are separate entities.
Hello! I love videos in highlands but only one suggestion. If you could go ahead more slowly with de camera I would not be dizzy. The movements are too fast and make me feel sick. Thanks
Ok thanks!
