Hello Lawrence & Airiel! Yes, it's a lovely little walk and the woodland there always seems to be full of birds. Thanks for watching, and have a nice day also!😊
Now, I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the title including White Nancy. So much beautiful greenery...and the rock walls in all directions! Do enjoy the folklore...and now I know the story! I'd say that you had a great adventure to share, so thanks for that. Take great care now and hope you have an amazing rest of the week. Bruce and Otis
Ha ha , yes enough said 😁 But, innocently named after a horse apparently! Thought you'd enjoy the walls! I think a lot of them were connected with the old cotton mill. An interesting little walk! All the best to you & Otis!👍
Good morning Des, popped you on the big screen with breakfast this morning, thanks for the company and sharing your walk with us, lovely looking area. Signs of the wet May in certain places, washed the mud away hahahha! The old cotton mill was a nice spot too, we have a few around us and I wont lie not 100% certain of there uses, might have a dig about! Loved all the old stone walls too, laiden in moss, could almost smell them. Lovely views down from the trig, what a little corker! 🐑♥️ Thanks for the share Des, stay safe and well, Ceri and Kat 👍♥️☕🌞
Hi Ceri & Kat! Knew I'd make it onto the big screen eventually! 😁 Loads of interesting ruins from old industry on this walk. I could find very little info on the web. A lot of it is very overgrown and with signs warning of imminent death 😁 so just had a nosy from the path. Great little walk! Hope you are both well!👍
Hi Dan! Apologies for the slow reply. Just got back from a couple of nights camping, so playing catch-up 😁 Yes, the recent rain has really freshened everything up. I noticed the higher moors are still tinder dry though. Hope all is good with you? Got a couple of your vids still to watch soon!
Hi Tim! Apologies for the slow reply. Just catching up after a couple of nights away. Hiking and camping over here seems very different to what I see on US vids. I bet there's so much we take for granted that we should probably explain better. I had to ask someone what a bear box was a few weeks back! 😁 Hope all is good with you👍 Thanks for watching!
I like those flagged paths and steps in the field early on. We get those near us and I've always had a soft spot for them, very characterful. An intriguing feature is White Nancy too. ATB, Chris
Hi Chris. I walked up that very path in Winter a couple of years back. It was like a frozen river! I took to using walking poles from that day on, as Maria was fine but I spent half the walk landing on my backside 😁 All the best👍
Hi Becca! The county of Cheshire to the west of here is very flat, so this area often catches a lot of the wind. Thanks for watching & have a great weekend! 👍👍
That was an exciting hike! You tell an interesting story! We enjoyed our walks with you! A big kudos from us! Looking forward to more interesting videos!
Hi Des Great walk. I'm always in awe how detailed your walking video are. Have you thought about being a walking tour guide? I think you would be great at it and you h seem to have huge knowledge on the areas you walk in. The sheep at the top were hilarious..Baa Baa Bored Sheep !!! lol lol You do all the walking and they steal the limelight. Like the folklore about White Nancy. Looked a fun walk with some brilliant views. Hope your keeping well and looking forward to the next adventure. Take Care 😁👍🥾🥾
Hi Scott! Very kind of you to say so, but not sure I've got the patience for that 😁 Very odd sheep around there! They never used to be like that before they got to UA-cam stardom 😉 All good here mate! Had a great couple of nights camping this week. Hope all is good with you👍👍
Hi Rob! Yes, definitely a nice local walk to have. Very different views in each direction, and the woodland always seems to be full of birds. Thanks for watching, much appreciated!👍
Soon as my daughters moves out to buy her apartment,we are going camping up north, des there are so many i am spoilt for choice, love your videos, have a lovely weekend des and stay safe. debs
Hi Debs! There's so many great places to visit up here, but then I watch vids of Dartmoor and Exmoor and think I'd love to explore more down there 😁 Hope you are keeping well! Think I've still got one of your vids to watch. Brixham?

I think the only time I’ve been to Bollington was a hotel there for a conference weekend back in the 1970s. Nice walk. Was wondering what White Nancy was, so thanks for filling us in on the history. Love these little monuments and obelisks dotted about UK.
Hi Don! It's an interesting little walk, and gives some great views down across Cheshire. We used to visit a couple of great pubs in Rainow back in my late teens as we started to get our driving licenses. I think all they are all closed now! Lovely area! Hope all is good with you👍👍
Ciao, Des,my friend! Very nice place to walk around! Very green and peaceful! Such an enjoyable and relaxing walk! BIG hug and see you soon! Have a great day! Renata
Hello Renata! This is a nice little walk. You get some great views for just a little effort 😁 The recent rain has left everything looking very fresh and green! Some of the high moorland is still very dry though. Thanks so much for your continued support! Always look forward to seeing your comments! 👍😊
Like 27 Des nice sounds off the birds in background. What was the 2 wheel thing in field. Nice walk around the place real country walk. Views off the sheep they don't look bothered with you there. White nancy lovely. Good work des
Thanks Fran! Yes, the woodland on this walk was full of birds. The machine looked like an old grass cutter or something. Nice old piece of engineering! 😁 Have a great weekend!👍👍
Pleasant walk that des. I must admit I'm partial to a green trail - that's the good thing about rain. The whole countryside responds. Felt revitalizing. Mark
Hi Mark! Yes, the rain has certainly freshened things up. I've noticed the higher moors are still bone dry though, so we could do with a bit more (without wishing to ruin our Summer! 😁). All the best!👍
Plenty of mud on the path but with such a wet May, the greenery looks great with plenty of running water but summer seems to be about 3 weeks behind Up North. White Nancy was defo unusual mind and as a commemoration of Waterloo, a bit of a strange one but it really stands out. Nice little walk out, cheers Alan
Hi Alan! Yes, I always find these follies a bit quirky and strange. The countryside lower down is really lush and green now, but I've noticed a lot of the high moorland is still bone dry. Hopefully we don't get any serious wildfires this year! All the best & have a great week!👍
To me that's a long walk hehe... great distance 8 km. It's a little dreary day, but the views and landscape are so amazing. I enjoyed watching as you took this long hike my friend.. Stay safe in all your long walks. 🙏🙏👍😍😊🧡💜
hello sir new friend here from Bali watching you white nancy and the saddle of kerridge from bollington wow so nice there sir so green and big yard is that close by your house hehe thanks for sharing see u
Nice walk there Des. That trig guard sheep wasn’t very effective. I wonder of someone has sprinkled some kind of exotic substance on the grass judging by how chilled they were 😆. White Nancy is an impressive looking landmark.
Hi Anthony! Yes, a nice easy local one for me. Those sheep looked weird! I discounted them being low clouds when one blinked. Deep mud? Stolen legs? Who knows! 😁 You may be right! Snorting the old White Nancy! All the best mate!😁
Hi Steve! It's a nice localish one for me, but hadn't been up there for a while. Not sure which The Crown is. They certainly don't look short of pubs!😁

the little blue flowers along the wall at 5:10 are beautiful! everything is green there, so nice!

The sheep looked knackered after their climb and you’re flying!!! Lovely film thanks bud!!!
