Traeger Flatrock Griddle - Review, Seasoning, and First Cook

Today I will be reviewing the Traeger Flatrock Griddle. In this video, I will review Traeger's first Griddle called the Flatrock. I will show you how I applied the first seasoning and did my First Cook which was some chicken philly sandwiches.

Nice review, Every time I hear treager I think of pellet grills, Im done with pellets, This flatrock griddle, now this is something I would buy thats traeger.

Been looking into this. Good review - thank you! How do you like it so far? Worth the $900? Also, just FYI, I read on their website that you can't (shouldn't) cook with the hood down.

I believe its worth the money. Now of course you could go with a cheaper option and still get the job done but this one definitely "feels" like 900 bucks. I didn't know that about the hood. well maybe just use it to melt things that will take seconds but I won't leave it down for a long time.

Joe, trying to season my flattop for the first time. You said you just check the temperature,? Where or how do you check the temperature?

I used a cheap laser thermometer gun. If you don’t have a gun just try to go by the ambient heat and smoke

@@offthechainwithjoe we just purchased the Traeger FlatRock Flat top grill. My husband surprised me and ordered the laser thermometer. Gun it arrived yesterday. 😃
Excited about trying things on the flat top. What do you recommend?
