Any advice for people who have zero interest in the idea of marriage? Is that just stemming from Childhood trauma? Or could it be that since Jesus is coming back soon God could be giving the gift of singleness like To Paul to evangelise in these end days
I had zero interest in marriage, too. People were always complimenting me for being content with my singleness, which was embarrassing because I, while I was content, I was also not interested in marriage for selfish reasons. I didn't want to have to put in the effort that being a wife requires, and because I was happy with my life as a single, I decided marriage wasn't worth the risk because maybe I wouldn't like it as much. There came a day when I realized that God might want me to marry and some mam might need me. I realized that I'd been telling God in my prayers that I wanted to serve Him and build the Kingdom of God but did I really if I was putting service through marriage off the table? I'm not assuming that you're not interested for the same reasons I wasn't but do let God examine your heart about it and cleanse you of any attitudes or fears about marriage. If you are to stay single you want to be able to do it FOR God, not against Him, right?

It's true you could probably cut out the physical intimacy in dating and you'd still know whether you wanted to marry them.
