I love what Metallica does. It's hardly noticable, but they put Lars in the middle. usually bands put the drummer in the back and only face outward. this way, they embrace EVERYONE in the audience. Metalhead for life!
Im going to see Metallica in the summer on June 14th and July 25th. I hope they play All nightmare long on one of the nights. I think all the songs on Death Magnetic are great.
They played the song way better last night in Oakland than they did here. Maybe since this was the first time preforming, they seemed to be experimenting with the tuning or something. It was almost flawless last night and fucking amazing as well!
yea the lights r autoimated. But not by sound. It's set up before the show but that means metallica always have to stick to the beat else they won't be so coordinated with their lights. Plus someone always watches them so they go according to the script.
it's a tribute to Cliff I think... the song can also be related to Cliff >> I mean, for example the first 2 lines: "crawl from the wreckage one more time, horrific memories waste the mind." but this is only my opinion...

Cant see them tuning to concert pitch live anymore. These songs would be hard to sing repeatedly on a massive tour. I think it sounds ok.
