James is one of the most cool singers/frontmen of all time IMO. Lars makes me laugh with his mistakes and crazy overkill snare fills lol, but he's still cool. I wish I could sit-in on the drums for a song or two. This gig is super awesome. Long live the great Metallica.

They've shown interest in it, but I just hope everyone knows that the majority, if not all, of the performance would be lip synced. They don't leave much to chance ever since Justin Timberlake pulled out Janet Jackson's tit on live TV. I wouldn't hold it against them for lip syncing that show, due to the circumstances.

James' voice seems to be unaffected by time. It's still clear and powerful. He can hit all the high notes in his register as well as the low. It's quite outstanding. Even Bruce Dickenson's voice has degraded over the decades. But James' is immortal I think.
I get that this is just a greatest hits set but I keep thinking of how perfect it would've been for them to have played Trapped Under Ice in Antarctica.

This audience is so into the band it makes me happy to see them expressing them selves and just being with the band. I believe I would have to cry at least three times if I seen Metallica live! James done perfect on the entrance to sanatarium. The band done perfect! You guys are great ❤️

They play alot and everywhere!!!!!...since the 80s I've seen them 12 times in Charlotte N.C.,and once in Columbia S.C. with GnR ,they have come through here alot....first Time was the damage Incorporated tour when they open for Ozzy Osbourne on the ultimate sin tour....killer shows!!!!!

Because Lars is fucking lazy. He was a hell of drummer, but now he can't even use the bass pedals properly.
To answer your question in a non-trolling manner, It's wholly personal. Lars comes off as a prick. That's it. To people who've actually met the man, he's a sweet and very gracious guy.

To answer why people don't like Lars, it's because he can't do technically proficient drum shit. He's a more visceral drummer.
DeanCutty But to be the best drummer you don't need techincal mastery, just to be creative and to give a nice beat, like Ringo Starr or Roger Meddows Taylor. That doesn't mean the best drummers are not technicals, of course they are. That's why Jordison is one of my idols :D

Exactly what I was thinking! And here they were, with the most PERFECT opportunity to play that song, and yet come up short... oh well.
Normally, I'd say that would be the corniest joke of all time. BUT because Metallica, so far, has only visited Anartica once, this would have been the perfect time to play that song.
From what I know, they 100% planned on playing it, but some way somehow, in the midst of everything that was happening, they literally just straight up forgot all about it.
I think there were other songs too that were planned but not played. I'm pretty sure it was due to not having enough play time.
