its actually really satisfying watching the oils just go into the recesses, especially the one at 4:12. You can see it pool into them and around the edges

Looks great, and the cleaning the airbrush in a cup of water is genius!

One thing to keep in mind about Marco's approach is that he mostly uses the airbrush on larger minis to get his basecoats done quickly and set the atmosphere. On smaller models as far as I remember he mostly keeps it to setting the shadows, main colour and the lighting.

Great job mate! You nailed on time.
I love Marcos' approach using oils. I am working to introduce myself in oils (and painting minis) and like a lot this kind of videos

Mr. Hobby which is a Japanese brand makes really great airbrushs as well and I was able to get mine cheaper than the ones you most 40k painters use. Mr. Hobby has all the features we need or want and are quality products.

@@resourcefulminiatures I'm not sure if they sponsor people or not as I've never seen someone sponsored by them. You could always reach out to the company and see as it can't hurt anything.

Man your painting is what I would hope one day I get to. I just started so I painted my first few minis usinf the slap chop technique and the result is not that great. I am not sure if it is me or the technique or both.
I was wondering where did you got all these awesome looking models? They are my style of minis. :)

So did you apply a coat of varish before the oil wash?

the result is nice ,but you're making it unnecessarily hard on yourself. instead of waiting for over an hour for the oil wash to cure, just take a makeup sponge and wipe away the surface after about 5 minutes. you'll get less hard lines, you don't need to use solvents, it'll be much cleaner and simpler.
