A great idea but the reality being parts availability. As Scotty has put so much of himself into the lockdown wagon I personally would love to see it finished. If there is room to keep the white wagon out the weather and a budget to complete it, having her as a long termer is fine with me. How awesome would it be to have them both look the same from the outside?
Find the 2 weeks and finish your dads Ute. Super Mang, the Ute and the lockdown wagon should be the priority. TROLVO is basically done, put the TH400 in it and park it up. Find that 2 weeks, you owe it to it and your Dad
@@hammatime94 I fell in love with the Ute when I watched the video series Scotty did when he was back up Albury way on his Scottys Garage channel. The moment he said he was doing it for his late father got me in the feels. My own Dad isn’t a well man and I’m hunting for his VH Charger he sold to his cousin when we were kids to help pay for my Mums cancer treatment. Even if I don’t find before he goes, I’ll never stop looking
It is great to hear you are not on lockdown anymore, Just pick the events and the cars that go with them. And work on just them until there close enough to call done. Then enjoy and share it with us. no stress, just slow and steady. take care guys you were missed.
Haha my old man had a wagon as a shed, and was always working on the sedan, side note all bar 1 of my 3 reasons ive had stitches are valiant related 😁👍🏼
@Gus Johnson luckily street machine build the cars they want to drive, not for someone else to drive after they have sold it for max orofit like you, you miserable prick..
So glad to see the both of you back safe and well. As the Barina was the first car/episode I ever saw, keeping it would be great, its little so it doesn't need much room. Otherwise grab a calendar match cars to events and see just what is achievable. I am sure having a presents and these events is core to the channel. Either way we will lap it all up, It's dirty hands time.
awesome to see an update, not sure whats going on with the audio though, You guys should definitely build two wagons, and race them head to head with different engine/trans combos
Love turbo taxi, unfinished business getting that 10 down the quarter, once achieved possibly ditch LPG for e85 & manual swap transformed into a drift learning vehicle. Caterpillar becoming a butterfly style transformation. 🙂
I finally have my studio speakers set up and you guys have your L n R backwards at 3 mins. It is funny though. Great to see you back! There's always room for more Nugget. #blownBarra in the wagon!
I know Heathcote has had some stuff happening - They had a 'outside of melbourne only' meet back on the 1st, and their website doesn't say they are closed or anything. You guys might have more/better contacts 'on the inside' to find out anything more specific than the website though... Still, worth looking into I'd think! ~JD
No matter what...do NOT sell the taxi... you always, always, ALWAYS regret selling your first. But sell the spare wagon and parts... love my Mopar...but one is enough! Love what you do.. hope to see you at 2021 red centre nats next September!
Create a "Go-No Go" list for each vehicle... Project plan, time, materials (costs), etc. Once the reality is visible, it is easier to make a sound decision. I did the "Will I ever drive it, will I ever use it" routine a few years back and thinned the herd out. A few regrets, but the wife stopped beating me ;) (Plus I found my 10mm socket!)...
the ute needs like a HAULASS GARAGE spec build.. barn to barista in 30 days? (Haulass was paddock to pub in 30 days).. maybe the other wagon could do that if you had something special for the ute taxi needs to get further development i think, i loved seeing it at calder even when it was having issues.. surely be a good drag week car when running reliable
So good to see you guys back into it. Stay well. It would be great to keep both wagons and race them against each other but as you say there's only one set of everything so it will a lot more financial investment. Add that to the time you will need to spend on both and it will be to the detriment of your other projects.
Interesting dilemma chaps, in truth you probably don't need two valiant wagons. So take the bits you need and flog the rest off to make someone else happy. As with the rest of the cars, for me personally, what appeals to me with this channel is that you've got a car in just about all the different types of interests for us car buffs. Drag racing, turbo taxi. Track time, barina. Resto, valiant wagon. Anyway you get the idea, I reckon you're on to a winning formula with the diversity of your cars. So, yeah, buy, fix up, have your fun, sell to fund the next project, its what keeps it fresh. Keep up the good work!
Nice to see you back Scotty, and your helper, sorry bad memory recall. Drop a modern hemi in the eastate, cage it but out of as possible. Modern colour like a dark met grey, and make up some mopar striping. On the hood and on the rear flanks. Using one of the indigenous animals like 'kool koala' or 'juiced joey', my favourite 'killer' roo'. All the best to you and your families and friends, and can't wait to see what happens next. Peace and remember, no talking to the zombies lol.
Turbo Taxi is like the title of Carnage and the base of where it all started. Can't get rid of it, just sort out a 9 second combo and make it the shop car.
@@STREETMACHINETV Wow took some searching but found it, I was thinking of a DIY fuel injection rail and big old throttle body instead of a blow through carb set up. But yeah if you have done it before and weren’t impressed no use going through all the hassle again. Still keep the white Val for a rainy day
Another drag challenge, in the same format, at the same tracks, one month after the last one.... 🤭 But good choice going with Allfast in WA... probably the best in my eyes (im now qld but if i was building another box or converter id probably go back and use them again 👍🏻)
Nice to hear the covid thing is getting better somewhere.. cant say we are at that point yet! (netherlands) Keep the second valiant, if the orange one ever gets damaged or whatever you will regret selling it dearly
Build the new wagon blown hemi skid wagon would be pretty sweet. No barra haha. Good to see you guy's back. Really looking forward to you building your dad's ute Scotty get that two week project happening.
My 2 cents..... Keep the lockdown wagon - it has history. Or, one classic and one resto-mod. But the lockdown wagon marks a specific time and that disco beat whilst welding. Otherwise I enjoy the various different projects that you do, even the non-typical Street Machine stuff. It's still about cars and fun. One piece of advice, if it doesn't move in 12 months move it on.
With the two wagons I reckon get the orange one "right" (take the time and make it shmick) and the white one "running" (get it on the road as quick/cheap as possible). While the white one may make more sense to put the effort in I think there's more heart in the orange one and it would be good content to show how you can get a project back on the road then maybe flip it and use the funds for one of the other projects.
I agree... one wags for cruising and the other to skid.....would look good one towing the other to the track!!!!! Just make it happen scotty!!! Sell the rest lol
Offend all the purists - put modern underpinnings and interior tech into the second wagon - doesn't matter which , but late model Commodore VF V6 auto would make it a smooth cruiser!
Don't sell the turbo taxi once it cracks a 10.. reinvent it. Wrap it, go E85 and see how far you can push it. I'd like to see a V8 build on the channel as well. A hemi or LS2, I know their expensive. But I'm over the Barras a bit.
so good to see you all back. Now it's been a long time if you don't mind you owe us at least 15 videos coz you have been off for so long. you have had plenty of free time to record episodes so start dumping all those vids LOL :) I'm sure you have been as frustrated as us
WE'RE BACK! Cool intro, updates but no cuts back to footage of the cars in the prime. Just a thought The wagon if you keep both make them different ie looks, power, purpose, burnouts or cruiser etc
Don't you dare sell the turbo taxi 🚖
Exactly, that build series is how I got into this channel...
Maybe make a viewers rating for every car here ;-)
HEMI wagon vs Barra wagon!
Love this idea ... :))))
I was about to say that!

Now this is a cracking suggestion!
Build both wagons, build one all valiant parts the other a Frankenstein of tried and tested parts from different cars to build something cool.
Find the 2 weeks and finish your dads Ute. Super Mang, the Ute and the lockdown wagon should be the priority. TROLVO is basically done, put the TH400 in it and park it up. Find that 2 weeks, you owe it to it and your Dad

Highlight of my day seeing Scotty and Kian glad you guys are back
Thank God you guys are back!!
Good to have you back guys, I don’t think you should ever sell the taxi just put it in the corner when your finished with it for sentimental value 🤙🏼

Oh so welcome back!
GREAT to have you guys back!! If you need a hand on some grunt work, gimme a yell, I'm not far away!

Feeling alive again seeing you guys back in the workshop with all the cars.
Can’t wait to see some more content from this channel
Me too, sure have missed em, so much potential and great directions the projects could go in
Deffo keep Turbo Taxi. Subscribed because of that car
Have two wagons
I'm convinced Val's don't actually run, they just sit in people's back yards and sheds forever.

spot on - there were two in my backyard when i was growing up in the 80's
