It always gratifying to see that no matter how we go, whatever goal we achieve, there is always someone who will give us a thumbs down. Don't go changing UA-cam.
Seriously? Who would downvote this? It's free content!!! I hit that like on any carnage or scotty's garage content i see as soon as i open the video, it costs me nothing. I feel bad that i can't patreon cause I'm a broke **** but i do buy a little bit of merch. Love my carnage t-shirt, had it ages and it's got a hole in it at the bit of where my generous gut hits the calcium on the terminals from the batteries I pick up out of my projects but i still love wearing it. Eff the haters, you have an army of us that are here for you man, keep doing what you are doing!
Well done mate.
I think it's a good thing to show that the cheaper bolt on items that don't make you have to take out a second or maybe third mortgage or maybe selling a body part to go very quick dare I say fast even and proving it is really cool.
Good luck with going even faster but when is fast enough?
Either way you did good Scotty. I hope there is a play list of this build cause I may have to take a look to jog my memory.
I think the down votes are from the jealous ones. Keep going, it pisses them off.
The content is always good, and sane people will always enjoy it. Thanks for putting in the time and effort.
Probably Prius drivers.
This Ute truly is the most complete, professional and downright impressive build that you guys have ever produced, an absolute beast of a machine and it just looks so darn good
100 shot will get it up on boost
It would, but I don't really want to go that way
na, do what volvo do, have a air compressor set up, which self fills put puts a shot into the turbo to get it started up etc? 🦘✌👌👍
@@7071t6 That's not bad
"have you got a shifter?" don't go changing Scotty : ) great to see that PB last run!
Well Done Scotty and crew! What an awesome car!
Thanks Woody! We'll have to come up for a run with Kevin one day.
Great vid! How about a run through of mpw trailer and tow rig! Nice setup
What engineer are using to get that thing legal on the road for drag challenge ?
Well done Scotty awesome work mate 👌
That launch against the Gemini looked nice in that it stayed steady as off the line.
Yeah, it's a shame I stuffed that up. If I was able to make full boost at the startline, it would have been an even race.
It's obvious I have zero clue about drags or racing period other then love watching it. It fascinates me how much go's into it behind the scenes from the driver and the strategies to save the car make it to the finals and the nerdy shit with the tweeks of the computer it's a full team effort 👌....Question would adding a cover or removing the tailgate, would that shave of some time ?....I think I luv this weapon and can't wait to see it in drag challenge....
We are adding a cover soon
Proud of you Scotty, you are the Stigg
Scotty, I had a sb chev HQ that would throw off the gilmer belt when l launched it hard. Discovered that the alt bracket was flexing and causing the belt to run off. Braced it and fixed the problem. Maybe check that isn't happening to your p/steer mounts?🤔
Nice job Scotty and Adam Rogash.
Great team effort!
I see u punched the speed warning dial thru the dash like it deserves.
This is one good ute. That Stig helmet made me smile too.😎
BOOM 💥 Congratulations scotty 👏 well done
Just had the same issue with building boost on the line 10-12 seconds for 6 months. 50hp shot of nitrous on the transbrake has shortened to 3-4 seconds, with haltech nitrous stage adjustments
Time to chase mid 7s. It wasn’t that long ago a 10 second car was fast.
This series has been awesome!! Just curious of what this cars 0-100km/h would be? Cheers 😊
13:44 that guy got gapped
You came pretty close to running the sub 8.50 you were looking for. The extra 9.00mph shows the convertor is locking up better than the old one, but I am wondering where you are going to pick up over half a second. The rear suspension seems to be working well, so I don't think there is a lot to be picked up in slippage. You might need to invest in a bump box so you can come into the lights with more boost on board. As I said before a lot of things are going to need to line up to get into the high 7's. Still think it is doable, but it won't be easy.
It's still slow in the 60-foot. We have time to make up there, and we're not running full boost all the way down the track.
@@STREETMACHINETV can't wait to go on the journey with you. We're off to a reasonable start, but that the easy bit, the next half second is where all the heavy grunting is done.
Yea come on Scotty get your act together, you're only doing 8s........😁
I know, Its terrible isn't it?
@@STREETMACHINETV 8 street car, and a ute at that✌
That ute jooks up nice & straight
The Ute hooks up and drives straight. Awesome :)
Nice work mate! With a dump valve, bump button and maybe a EWP to keep the belts in check the old girl may grow an extra leg and gallop closer to an 8.00.
Yes sir,, congratulations Scotty an team,, another mission accomplished with the ute.. awesome mate ..👊😎..
I had the Belt drama a year or so back, turned out the new Alternator pulley was 3mm out of alignment, machined the mount problem solved.
Congrats on the build, looks and sounds the part!
Way to go Scotty and Adam. And street machine. You are getting there with a new build. Hats of to Adam. Chipping away and making it happen. Well done to all involved. 👍🎉😜
Going to need to aort the belt issue maybe changing the pulleys to longer sides but leaving it in first and changing at 7000 instead of the 5500 upshift may put you in the high 7second
I know Adam is both paid and affiliated with Street Machine.
But what a service he provides to Carnage and this build. And no I have never meet the bloke. I’m js.
Well done Scotty, what a day and what a build. So proud of what you've achieved with it! And that was only its second day out!
And I'm a Ford man but jeez that's a nice looking ute.
Good to see the hard work by Scotty, MPW and sponsors pay off in the end. I reckon a low 8 at 170+mph is not far off.
Nice work!
Adam Rogash is the MVP
Professional, duty of care to Scotty in staging, & the list goes on.
"This is going straight to the pool room!"
Scotty, be damned proud of what you did on the track & be damned proud you built a ute that delivers the goods. This really has been an exciting series from build to drags. If I could give it more thumbs up, I would. I hope we get to see more of the VS Ute down the track.
Considering the Gemini hasn't got much Gemini left in it, looks like a damn promod and a big tyre car .. doesn't resemble a street car at all like the ute does. You did well
It’s funny because it looked so boring, just left and down the track first pass
I know, we all feel the same. The car works so well it's almost boring.
Congratulations on your PB Scotty and of course your trophy. Drag challenge look out hey!
Congratulations Scotty and the team. Well done very happy for you. You have a genuine passion for it and it's clear when your disappointed and very clear when your excited about a success. Awesome to see
That's awesome Scotty,so good to see everyone's hard work paying off. That things a weapon
Who doesnt love a Happy Ending 🙂Awesome PB, Nice Trophy :-)
Nitrous fixes everything 😂😂
Well done scotty damn the ute can move. Just gotta get the 60 right n I will go even faster. Damn sound so good
Nice Solid PB, Gotta be happy with that one Scotty, Now you just gotta make it a little more consistant and the ute'd be a heck of a sweet bracket racer. Oh, and fix the Accessory belt issue
That’s awesome Scotty went to the strip yesterday met Lance and Danielle awesome people 👍
Good build Scotty, you deserve all success and many thumbs up!
Well done Scotty. Love ya work. It’s good to see the ups and the little downs along the way.
Awesome stuff!! Congrats on the showing there Scotty!! Ute is doing great! I have no doubt that once you get dialled in a bit more it will kill it even more out there. Keep up the great work mate!!
How much drag does having the tailgate up cost you in time?
That gemmy is a cute bit of gear. Great racing Scotty, loving the Ute brother. Maybe a little bit of bottle to get it spooling up?
Looking forward to seeing how much faster you can go in the ute....
Great work team. Bit of carnage for good measure. Hope you can get the belt sorted 🤞👍👍
Let's see a bit of spray or dump valve Scotty 🤟 love your work mate
Awesome work Scotty!!! Well done mate that Ute is a weapon and hats off to the 8.5!!
Good work that's seriously quick
Man you're never gonna hit the 7s without a dash mat
Grats on a great day Scotty. Looking forward to seeing how much more is in the Ute.
Nice driving Scotty! Great vid as always
You guys must be absolutely stoked. Telf would be a happy boss too
Good stuff Scotty, well done Mate..👍
Excellent job Scotty and the crew..
Well done, Scotty! 7s pretty soon, mate 😉
That's not what she said, you're the fastest Scotty!
Excellent result. 8.5 is impressive. Well done to all involved.
xtra cool big scotty , did it easy !! well done
rip that tail gate off at track ya never know could make a difference
Great job! Converter dump valve next week?
Go the ute. Great video. 8.5 already. Well done mate 👏
Super stuff Scotty and Adam.
Congrats Scotty and Team. 🍻👍.
great work scotty. just gets better and better
Very good 👍👍👍 I've had trouble with belts coming off because the tensioner twisting forward at high rev so I replaced the tensioner pulley with a ride on mower pulley with high side that belt never come off 😁.
Good tip!
Happy for you, what a great result.
8 anything in a full weight Street car is pretty freaking awesome. She hooked up and drove dead straight, that’s the first box to check, now you guys can work out power delivery and give us guys some killer content and hopefully break the Ute into a 7😅😅😅😅…..I won’t give tips (in case I line up next to you at a strip) but you’ve killed it on that build!
Thanks mate, we are pretty happy with the results so far. We'll keep it at this level for Drag Challenge and then start leaning on it in the new year.
Well done Scotty and team well deserved
Ute looks mint well done Scotty 👌🏻
needs a squirt of nitro to bring on boost..
Scotty the trophy hunter 😂
Congrats on the PB
Well done, congratulations.
Onya scotty...you deserve it
Time for a shot of nos don't ya think Scotty 🤟🏼
I'm trying to avoid nitrous if I can
Well done Scotty well deserved, iam a Ford fan I think it's about time Carnage has build a Ford drag car, Turbo Taxi needs a revamp, great video I keep on watching your channels 😀
Turbo Taxi is coming back soon
i wish you were my dad Scotty
Dam there was some sick cars there.
Nice one Scotty and team 👍🏻💪🏻
Nice work on your hotrod too Scotty.
That gemini shes got some big shoes!
would've been nice if ya had got the 8'50 pass against the gemini
I would have liked to have staged properly and gotten full boost on the line. Its would have been a good race then
Turbo taxi will be faster
hahaha
theres your 8.50 tune up !
Scotty can pedal! well done
Congrats on the top mph 👍
Great job I would love to know the total cost of the build as would love to build one my self
Depends on the level you want to go to. Think somewhere between $80-100K if you are paying people to do everything.
well done scotty and crew
I don’t know where all the negativity comes from. I for one am living through you, Scotty. If money was no object I would have built something similar, but reality is I don’t so I watch instead. Well done to everyone involved 👏🏼👏🏼 Ps with my limited knowledge, do you need straight cut gear pulleys, and a boost controller so you’re on boost when the Trans-brake is loaded up at the start?
It has a boost controller and we're still working out how much boost it needs at the line, but with the car running 8.50s, we can leave that stuff until later.
@@STREETMACHINETV awesome, thanks mate 👌🏼
Awesome
what happened to the safari wagon with the 6.4 l Hemi project
Safari went home to me at Scotty's Garage, Hemi stayed at Carnage
Loving this series
the next drag build can u build a nissan pulsar gti r please
haha, I don't think our faceable would really be behind that
@@STREETMACHINETV ok nevermind
needs nitrous to spool up the turbo at the start < easiest way to go about the lag
Easy sure, but I don't really want to add nitrous to the car
“Burn down” what a ridiculous comment, the only burndown was from the driver in the ute doing it to himself. Neither the tuner or the ute driver obviously didn’t realise they were in a bracket race against a multiple winning bracket car. These guys need to stick to their inconsistent fast only cars and stop trying to justify their losses and stuff ups in a real race meeting. And as for the Gemini taking his time to get back to race you he’d just finished making a pass and had to check the car over and cool it down just like you would’ve so again stop making excuses for your own mistakes
I fully admitted to making mistakes, but I've been racing for a long time as well, and I've never had to wait that long for an opponent to show up for the final. When it gets to the end of the day, and the rounds are moving through quickly, you've got to turn your car around faster. But Pat won and I congratulated him on his win, and apologised for my staging error, and thanked him for waiting for me.
Adam's comment wasn't totally related to the start line. It referred to a whole bunch of things that lead up to that.
@@STREETMACHINETV you may have got your license 30 years ago but you haven’t raced a day in your life otherwise you would know that running a Race Car back to back without checking anything or cooling it down or refuelling it leads to failures and inconsistence racing and as for you saying that Adams comment was not directed at Pat, please mate you sound like a politician
