This video should be the FIRST video that anyone getting serious about sewing should watch. Without this video, it has taken me a couple years of fighting flat beds to realize that a cyl bed would have solved most of my problems. Super well done, and beautifully done video to boot. 👍

Fixing to make the purchase on a 4800pro this week.
Will it have the new version of the table instead of the old version?
As of what time did this change?
      Thanks
Also I really enjoy your info and knowledge Ryan!
Never mind! Pays to read all the comments!
But I still really appreciate all your videos.

@@rcamoonpie648 great machine choice, for sure. You will have to confirm with techsew if they will ship your machine with the aluminum table or the wood one.
The aluminum offering through techsew is my original version. I have since improved that version and sell it myself on Etsy.

That’s a very cool aluminum table. I prototyped one myself out of stainless steel for my old Necchi cyl arm whiched works well, although it is heavy. Congrats to you and Techsew.

Super, thank you so much, agree the customer service is outstanding. The pressure foot going over layers is a big sell point on the Techsew 4800 pro vs the 2750 pro. I just upgraded my order after watching a few videos out there. So, if anyone else is watching, the 2750 pro does not have the nob adjustment on the upper right side of the machine, as the 4800 pro does, you can adjust it, but you have to go to the back of the machine on the 2750 pro with a screw driver. Your video was very relaxing and informative to watch.

I bought one of these machines about a year ago and I too hated the laser, thanks for the information you gave. One other issue I had with my machine was the way it was put together before Tec-sew shipped it. Tec-Sew assembles the machine head and then ships the unit in pieces with the table and remaining parts to complete the assembly. I had some fasteners missing from the boxes and some the things that were assembled had been cross threaded or damaged by over torqueing the fasteners. These are a sizeable investment and what it cost for the pro package I was less than impressed.

The deal breaker is, or was the last time I spoke with them, there is no USA distribution point, meaning, you pay shipping from Canada, and if anything goes wrong, you pay to ship it back to Canada. That puts some of us in a position of having only the Cowboy or Cobra left. Which may be fine, I just like to have options. And I really don't want a red/brown machine!

Curious about the bed length difference between the 5100 and 4800 which are 16.5"and 10.5"respectively. In your review of the 5100 you were saying the generous bed length was a real advantage. Are you happy with the 10.5"of the 4800 or are you missing the 16.5"? Greetings from BC.

Hi Ryan, very cinematic video as always :) I'm trying to sew a THICK gusset (just under 3/4") by hand. I don't have room for an industrial machine with a table - do pressure foots even really go that high or did I not skive enough? I'm used to making small wallets and stuff by hand.. not bags.

This is what I was thinking as well. At what point do you have to remove 'handmade' from your product description?
Nobody I'm aware of makes their own leather, thread or hardware but to me it seems the more machines you use in your production, the closer you are to a factory.
Of course, the other side of the coin is I'm pretty sure Gucci isn't making handbags by hand
      Just my opinion of course.

@@ffaubert1 nope Gucci is by machine. As with most high end leather bags. You cannot handsew 2 10 oz hides, hemmed in before or after skiving. You need a machine. Especially when sewing liners. Either way its a labor of love i appreciate machine of hand sewn.
