I hadn’t heard about tapping the pedal to slow down the machine. Very cool , will have to give it a try on my 2750.

Thanks for your video. I just purchased my TechSew 4800 Pro, which should be here in about 3-4 weeks, I'm excited! I mulled over it for about three years but almost made the wrong purchase just before this one...... It was the Sailrite Ultrafeed LSZ-1 With WorkerB Power Pack & Compact Table, then out of the blue it went out of stock, and then I got an email stating they would not come back with that particular configuration... things happen for a reason. Long story short, I remembered all the previous research I had done on the TechSew machines and I feel I made the right decision. It was really surreal that one of the owners Ron did the purchasing transaction for me by phone... an absolutely nice person. Can't wait to get started on projects. Take care. By the way, they have the NEW! Aluminum flatbed table attachment, just in case you didn't know. Peace.

Thank you!! I am thinking of getting an industrial in about a year. So glad I’ve taken my time to decide, as I think rather than a flat bed only, I am saving up for a cylinder arm. Your review is very helpful! New subscriber here!

I need that conversion table. My cylinder arm didn't come with one.

I'm buying the TechSew 2700 from a designer who has only used it a few times in her studio. I'm super excited about it!! I hope it's every bit as awesome as yours!😀

Thanks to both you & Parker… I invested in this machine today… I already have an industrial but it’s leaving marks all over my leather! I ordered from Ron, he was a great help! ❤ your content!

Great video. Would love to see a follow up video on this model, with a "1 year review," which includes your preferred needle + threading + tension combos for different weight leathers and so forth (like let's say say LR 120 needle for Tex 90 thread, etc.). There are almost no videos like that for this model, so that best practices (including brand/weight thread and needles) type video would be immensely helpful.

Which machine do you use more, your cylinder or flat table machine? I am shopping for my first machine for upholstery and an occasional bag.

Still one of my favorite machines. Zero complaints. The flatbed attachment makes you feel like you have 2 machines in one!

Hello! I came across this video while looking for machine info for leather handbag making. Do you still recommend this machine since you last posted this video?

What's the thickest leather you've done with it?

  • @MelissaH05

I have this machine as well. I have the hardest time with the tension. I haven't even been able to use it for a full project yet. I make handbags and wallets and mostly use thicker vinyl. I keep getting lots of slipped stitches. I use Tex 70 bonded nylon with a size 18 needle. I tried a size 20 needle to see if that would help but it hasn't. I have adjusted the upper tension over and over and can't find that sweet spot. It's driving me crazy. When I renamed Techsew they sent me to their videos... Which I had already watched dozens of times. I so want to cry.
