They have Road Elite Edge 50, 1317g for me. Steel bearings of course with regular aero steel spokes. Cheap and very decent. I use them for gravel as well. Massive downside, they’re narrow, wish it was 30mm external and 25~ internal for whatever increase in weight. Comfortable and not overly flexy or anything. Oh well, but can’t complain for the price.
This is why I love my Parcours Chrono wheels, 68mm on the front and it's rock solid. I weigh 75kg and ride them all year round in all wind conditions in the UK.
@PatrickLino it'd be great if you could get hold of a set and compare them to what you've tested so far. I think they're pretty incredible but I only have a two other sets to put them against.
I have the Elite Drive 45/50mm combo on my bike with a 32mm GP5000 and they fit like a glove, but I would like to test the Elite Drive G45 who have 24mm inner width and 31mm outer at 1300gr, good combo, if they did the rear in 50mm deep I would buy that next time
The new Yoeleos that you had on your channel have been on sale for 839€/$, which is incredible value. Shipping supposedly from a european warehouse for european buyers. Missed the sale, hopefully there will be another for black friday
I have a few sets of Elite wheels. They are some of their lower priced models $350 -$400 range. They are tough and reliable. I have hundreds of miles on them and never had a problem. They are not super light but for every day wheels they are perfect.
I got some 60mm cheapos for my rim brake bike- great wheels, but I'm with you on the width, at least for disc brakes. 24/32 inner/outer is the new standard.
You PL… you may have answered this already, but how do they 1. Hold up in windy conditions (50 D/60 D Helix)? 2. Hold/get up to speed??? Btw, Skip one cause you answered that… lol
Would you ever consider reviewing ProX carbon wheels? I have their C68DB butterfly weave wheels, and they only cost me $625. Ceramic bearings, full carbon spokes, and only weighed in at like 1300g for the 45mm depth version. Really good imo, worth checking out
It comes down to aesthetics. I very much prefer the "look" of the Elite Helix versus the Magenes. The Magene Exars are a wider rim both externally and internally, which has been important for a lot of consumers. That would be the only factor for me to choose the Magene.
FYI I tried the discount codes and they don't combine with the discounts Elite is already offering. it's one or the other. and they don't work for the Marvel Series
@ but then again, regardless internally 21mm, 23mm or 25mm, we can still run whatever tyres widths? If I am not mistaken, even 45mm tyres can be mounted on 21mm if that floats anybody’s boat 😆
@ I think it will then boils down to how much of a ‘light bulb effect’ it creates. Which could be an interesting video for the future. Light bulb vs smooth transition: how much does rim+tyre combo actually matters?
Correction: they sponsor GCN lol
Nice summary, and well timed to help people decide on the black friday sale
@@galenkehler I’ve been questions about Elite Wheels on a weekly basis. For months on end ha

Crazy good weight at 1300g for a wide a rim.
I have G45 on my road bike paired with 30mn TLR P Zero race.
No light bulb effect and the bike it's a joy to ride at sub 60psi

Yo yo! I haven't tested the 50/60D Helix yet, but the should accelerate better than the 68D for sure. And be better with crosswinds.

Sounds like a solid deal. Perhaps I can get them to send me out a set!
45D are availaible, you must go in the custom options
I learned something new today!
You're welcome my friend
I've got BF deal Helix CS for 1200$. Should i go for it?
Now u have option of 2 hubs, ''Novatec'' dual ratchet or ''DT Swiss'' star ratchet.
Go for it if you want carbon spokes...
