I have such fond memories of playing custom 40k games on all our space hulk boards and making homebrew rules for creating breaches in the hull with grenades or template weapons that could potentially suck any models close enough out into the void of space.

Nothing better than the mad lad terrain projects on this channel!! I just swapped out the head on my printer and pumping out tiles for Blackstone Fortress. The fortress will come ALIVE!!!
This episode reminds me alot of the entertainment I received from watching things like Mythbusters. No over the top production, no fake people, just pure fun. thanks.
That amount of scenery would probably cause me to seize up from just the sheer amount, but you not only got through it but made it look bloody amazing... just fantastic work. Even when you're seemingly experimenting with techniques, it always seems to come together even if it doesn't look like it at first.
For real. When Jay started doing the marble recipe on the first section I was like “whaaaaa?!” But he kept going and got it all done PLUS looking amazing!
engine deck is my favourite, the rust effect is just fantastic
wheat you need now is rooms, you have the corridors, but you have no fillar space between corridors, jsut empty table
you need things like med bays, crew quarters, engine gun and storage rooms, mess halls etc, like a modular floor/wall tiling that can work as a room instead of a corridor and some scatter things you can throw in to make it count as whichever room you want it to
The videos with Jay driving *and* Nick are like the double sized annual comic books!!

Holy crap! You have certainly outdone yourselves with this terrain Jay. The crew deck is my favorite, the pieces with irregular flooring look great. Now you just need to paint some ultramarine, death wing and space wolves terminators to go with it!

You need to make up some little yellow "Wet Floor" signs & mop buckets for scatter terrain. 😁
I love how the engine deck turned out it screams that 40k aesthetic for me, and if you add blood spatter, it can easily be dead space. Makes me want to do up a board as my terrain for small games

Thought you were going to paint a starry background for the board to represent the Spacehulk floating in space, but the whole thing looks amazing!
The brighter color of the crew deck really helps it stick out from the other decks darker looks, plus the footsteps from the blood splatters are a nice touch.

I have a dream of designing a board based off a space hulk bridge that looks like an opera house stage. After watching this I'm definitely more inspired to do it
Great job very nice work. I did the same thing about a year ago and created and printed my own SH terrain. I know what you mean about this being a childhood dream. Ever since I first played I wanted a full 3D set. I went on a different path making the pieces smaller 35mm tiles and keeping to the exact layout of the board pieces. I just didn’t have the space for a full board to be set up all the time and wanted it to be portable. Anyway love to see a fellow SH enthusiasts creating an immersive world to play in!
Jay, this is the stuff my dreams are made of. This is exactly the kind of board I have dreamed of from childhood. Now, the only thing you can do to make this more epic... is scale it up and play spacehulk using the JoyToy terminators!

Honestly, I loved the engineering deck. Seeing the genestealer contrasted against the board made it stand out a bit. I started thinking of the space hulk video game and pictured it with that coloring.
This is the terrain set I've been waiting for, haven't had a printer for over 3.5 years, stopped all my stl subscriptions as I don't know when I'll get back to it. But subbing to the EoB Tribe for this month for this.
So much cool stuff in the welcome pack too. Just need to find the time and space to get printing again.

I printed a few years back something just like this from a set available online. Space hulk connecting board set. It’s amazing even in FDM.
Love the green marble, I do something just like it on all my army's bases. My idea is that they're fighting in an alien palace.

Love the terrain - but someone needs to make terrain that easily integrates LED light strips and those new LED tea candles units (super tiny and they do multiple cooors)!!!!!!!! Lighting would make this terrain POP!!! Love it though. Space hulk is the best!!!

Also, I'm glad you painted some terrains with a dark red base coat, I recently primed some Mechanicus terrains of mine with that colour and I didn't know what to do with it, now I got some ideas.
Oh wow, that set looks good. I was considering making a set like this for Nemesis with magnetic rooms that you can swap out as you RNG your rooms.

the bloody foot prints was a crazy idea and had me instantly think about body drag marks down a hall and up a wall into the ventalation system

Because a lot of people prefer not too, the few times he has done it is just applying a thin matte varnish over the model using an airbrush and that’s it

Crew quarters deck is the best imo. The off white scheme lets the miniatures pop.
Final result looks amazing and the modularity seems perfect, especially on the "mashed together" aspect of a Hulk since you'd be able to squash the different areas together at random. I do however feel like the Crew deck needs more work on it however, it seems unfinished vs the other two. Maybe adding some stencils to it would help as it just looks almost TOO monotone and flat. Alternatively, maybe doing some off-color drybrushing on the floor tiles would help.
My fav look i'd say is the engine section actually, mostly because of the stencils that bring out detail but also the color variation. It looks as oppressive as the lore describes the bowels of a ship to be, which is perfect.
The white deck is fantastic. Definitely looks like the set of Alien!

Definitely need to make this bigger to represent the multitude of ships that have fused together and so you can have story driven games of 40k with no vehicle models and no massive units like ghazkull or anything over 40mm base sizes cause this could be a lot of fun having like 2 full picnic tables covered on these boards and players can have their units be on multiple boards cause for some reason the teleporters sent them to different areas of the ship
For non toxic reductive methods I now use Newsh weathering medium from ProAcryl. I use it instead of washes now. Advantages you talked about with respect to washes, and can use any acrylic paint as the base: any color, metallics... ALso can apply with an airbrush ;)

I would honestly love to see you guys play a game, any game using the terrain, regardless of the game the terrain looks fantastic!!!
It's all modular even a small resin printer will do the job.
