    As a hairdresser I’m here to tell you whether you wash PINK HAIR in a cup of Ajax dish soap or in a cup of pureology shampoo both will run pink! SEMI and DEMI permanent dyes especially those of fashion colors will ALWAYS run ! Especially a freshly done color that was washed 5 days prior.. the ultimate test would be to do a glaze on the hair of Redken Shades EQ and test it that way...

      Bed head is actually a professional line. Same with pureology, unfortunately a lot of pro brands end up in drugstores and such but are usually marked up at a higher price then in salon and they don’t carry the same guarantee that they would if bought from a professional hair stylist

      Hema S I assure you Wella Brilliance is by far the best color shampoo out there and it smells amazing. I’m sure you see how red my hair is, it keeps my color hue bright shiny and healthy. It’s a lot cheaper then Pureology, in fact I just bought huge bottles of the shampoo and conditioner at Ulta and they are significantly less than other color brands like Aveda. I use to only use Aveda until I figured out what I was using was not worth the money. I never use drugstore brand haircare. I’ve tried Bedhead and it’s horrible but that’s my personal opinion. The small bottle of Wella is 16.50 and the conditioner is the same. It’s worth it but I would buy the big bottles it will last you forever.

    TIGI aka Bed Head is not a drug store brand. I was an educator working for the brand whilst in the UK. Sadly when salons close down, large chain store buy what’s left over from these places which is why you’ll only see small amounts of the brands products being sold there. TIGI is an awesome brand which I still use on my clients.

    If you go to the drugstore and grab a salon brand such as paul Mitchell turn the bottle around and read the bold print. It actually tells you not to purchase it from a drugstore because it’s probably fake or tampered with....

  • @dianevitale1214
    @dianevitale1214 7 років тому +9

    Looking at reviews, sadly, Wella dries out hair a lot making very frizzy. Prology reviews show many getting itchy and rashy scalps. Want my copper dark auburn dyed hair to last as long as possible, however my curly thick hair is already a battle with frizzies , and have sensitive skin...so I will buy Bed Head. Do very much appreciate this video!! Hairdresser yesterday kept telling me to get Aveda...hahaha...not in the running here. Glad I saved my money.

      You also have to be careful with online reviews because some products are filled with cheap imitations and not the real deal. Always better to try these products when purchased from salons or beauty supply stores that have a salon in them. Many we’ll know professional brands only allow beauty supply stores to sell their products if they are a salon. When you see these products at Walgreens or rite aid it’s referred to as diversion and is illegal.

    • @Lucy-fn9rj
      @Lucy-fn9rj 3 роки тому +2

      i think the formula changed since this video was made, so maybe the old one didn’t have sulfates? although that’s a weird direction to go in, so they might’ve just had other ingredients in the shampoo that made up for the sulfates

    • @NatashaWarden

    The problem when it comes to drugstore shampoo is that theres so many additional ingredients that are damaging to the long run. For example, in pantene, theres wax and it coats your hair. It makes color services super difficult and it strips the natural oils off. So when your stylist uses a clarifying shampoo to get all that crap off it makes it seem like theyre the bad guy because your hair feels all dry and rough. But the big thing is that a lot of drugstore products causes adverse reactions to professional product.

    • @kerrier4330
      @kerrier4330 5 років тому +4

      Natalie Tietz Anything with a silicone in a conditioner does that which unfortunately is the majority of those brands not just Pantene. They got a bad rep for it, but all of those brands contain the same coating.

    • @thephilosopher1663
      @thephilosopher1663 5 років тому +3

      alot of those same ingredients were in the wella shampoo

    • @daisiesandpandas1218
      @daisiesandpandas1218 3 роки тому +2

      Silicone isn't bad, it's just most people aren't cleansing their hair properly anymore because they're afraid of the stripping feeling of a proper shampoo so they using those gentle cleansers that barely lift any dirt or product build up off your scalp and hair and keep piling more product on, a hairdresser knows that any treatment they want to do should start on very clean hair or your just not in control of the results.

    It would have been nice to see the before and after cups in front of a color other than white, you cant see the thickness of the white before hand, and if it was really white it would take more red to change the color of the water so this test is kind of wonky. Also did no one else notice that nexxus & paul mitchell stripped noticeably less than pureology?

    Hi, are you still in business? 😊
    I really enjoyed this video.
    I'm looking for a COLOUR safe, CLARIFYING shampoo. Can you recommend any, would really appreciate it. Tks.
