it also makes a noise like a beep or and alarm on the center consol when i am driving whit the top dowm

If the electric motor of right window is not working . Can it affect to function of open the top?

I have the same problem 😦 it seems like the microswitch needs replacing? Does anyone know the part number? Or a webpage I can order one from beetle 2005. THANKS in ADVANCE

my new beetle 2003, flaps will not close after lowering hood...beeps all the time.....if you can tell me where the beep speaker is located i will rip it out

The F171 is snapped onto the right side hydraulic ram. You will need to remove the rear seat and right rear interior trim panel to access the F171 for replacement.

My 2003 says the top is open when it is locked down.. and the top up/down switch does nothing? I'm assuming the switch in the window frame is bad?

Hi I most likely have the F171 problem so I wonder if someone can tell me where it is located. From the video it seems to be on the right hand side but......

hi,
The roof o mu beetle doesn't want to open at all. When I unlock it the windows go down a bit but the roof doesn't respond. Do you have any idea what the problem could be? ( The right rear window doesn't come down, could this be the problem)

After unlatching, the windows go down a short distance and the flaps open. When lifting up the switch to lower top, nothing happens. The switch is new. What next to make the top go down?

Thanks for this. Was wondering if you can help me with my problem. I have a 2019 vw convertible with convertible issues. Whenever I try to open the top, it unlatches, lifts it about 2 inches and stops. There is no error code. The dash boar shows a message saying CONVERTIBLE OPERATION, and the car icon blinking in orange light. Pressing on the switch to close lowers the roof and latches it close

06 beetle with manual top. My problem is all my windows roll down like the top is being opened. Put my scanner on it and no convertible module shows, does on the 07 with the open button. I even looped the micro switch in the roof and still does it. Any ideas?
