I think someone replaced the switch at some point in MY convertible Beetle. I figured it was the pump in the trunk? But this gives me something to go after that is different. Great video much appreciated!

I have a 2008 VW Beetle 2.5 S manual soft top convertible ( not electric) . The safety latches on both sides at the back in back windows do not lock down the roof once it's folded down in the back. Any idea on how I can fix the problem or find the latches ?

used from Ebay $130 - $200
(The one I installed in the video was from Ebay.)
Labor, I would say 2 - 3 hours.
Most of the cost would be in the diagnostics and that depends on how quickly they find what is wrong.
Replacing the part is about a 45 min. job.
Every shop has a different labor rate, but average price $140 an hour.
So about $420 in labor.
This is just an estimate.
