I have a 2018 S1000R and I rode a 2019 S1000XR in Europe, they have the same engine config and electronic options. The XR allowed me to do 10.000 km and 9 countries very comfy... All the modes make the same power beside rain mode. the quick shifter sometimes goes to neutral when you haven't completely applied a negative (deceleration) or positive (acceleration) on the throttle like you kinda inbetween and then use the shifter...then you sometimes catch neutral...my 2018 SK1R i had used to do that, and my 2016 RR does it as well... also remember you don't have to use the quick shifter, you can still clutch and downshift and rev match yourself :) great vid btw
Yes but throttle response is very different from road to dynamic. So is braking. In road it feels more like "brake assist", while in dynamic it feels more like ABS. False neutrals and ones from 1-2 and 2-1, generally occur when you do lazy shifts of are at low rpm. below 6k-ish, although you can minimize them by downshifting somewhat in the same motion as you close the throttle, and upshifting in the same motion as opening the throttle, when at low rpm. The quickshifter also works better in dynamic and d-pro. Mine was plain bad when using the quickshifter, until I bought HP footrests. Now it's very consistent, but the quickshifter sensor has its limitations. It's just not very good when comparing to something from HM for example. "Manual" clutchless upshifting and rev matching still feels great on it tho.

How you went past that bus is only something you can do comfortably in Africa ..in Ethiopia if their is a traffic jam you can get up on the sidewalk..you can't do that in Texas you can't even lane filter; atleast without getting into trouble.
I think you need to understand the types of motorbikes more. A dual-sport is on & off road vehicle. That is sport touring bike, no way you'll want to take a nice bike off road. You'll want a GS model for that big cc adv bike.
