Okay. The way you performed in this fight was INCREDIBLY funny and unique than the other videos. The moment you lost your weapons, you relied on freaking orange juice to deal damage and you ended him off with his own drink 😂 I love this so much
This whole twist of events is great, but I always thought it would've been better to have Chuck suddenly reappear at the end of the game, if you completed this optional mission since it wouldn't make sense if you didn't, having regained his sanity and helping you against Stacey. He could've had an arsenal of DR2's most iconic combo-weapons and everything. Then, of course, die heroically at Stacey's robot's claws, giving Frank the extra time and oomph to finish her off.
Chuck: so You do all this for money! You murder a whole city You cause las Vegas outbreak no?You killed My wife, My baby, You turned me in a killer! You destroyed My family! @@Thorax7x686 sadly chuck was so far gone he couldn't tell the difference between good people who wanted to help him and nutbars. Just frank accidentally grabbing the dolls leg set him off and tried to kill him.
Is it just me or is Chuck's analogy of killing zombies in this intro meant to be some sort of metafiction talk with how the player felt playing the canon Dead Rising games in both the story AND gameplay considering OTR's timeline turned Chuck from protag to antag psycho
So, I know this game is non-canon, but was Chuck still alive and he ran off after he was defeated or was Frank the whole time looking at a phantom or something?
Two Things could've happened. Either: *Chuck escaped while Frank had his back turned or *It was all in Frank's head and Chuck was just a hallucination. The fact that the Slicycle and "Katy" are nowhere to be found after the fight supports this.
I like the phantom theory. In the Leon fight we actually see his bike on fire afterwords. But not here. Theres no way Chuck could have escaped on his bike. Also it is known that zombrex can cause some issues with a person.
I would prefer the phantom part but what doesn't add up is the keys that Frank picked up and the fact that Frank is literally fighting an actual ghost which would be impossible. Chuck escaping would kind of be impossible since Chuck was hurt by Frank so There's no way Chuck would've gotten up and ran without making a single noise or going after Frank one last time while hurt. I would have to agree with FireBoy since the Bike and Katey's body cannot be seen (even though they all spread apart) and I think that Frank just randomly found the keys on the ground.
I love the small hints of Firewater starting when Chuck acts like a lunatic, that simple riff is so pleasant to hear. Then as soon as you grab the doll's leg, it begins playing in full swing.
He disappears at the end of the fight because even in a what if scenario the devs couldn't bring themselves to kill a protagonist like that, even tho the book declares him dead
Its incredible how well he fits as a boss. We already knew his story and we played as him. We know how much he cares for his daughter so watching his fall to madness is not only understandable but it fits in like a glove. Sure yeah its probably the most tragic boss fight in the game but i cant help but adore it with how well the story works out.
Whether or not Firewater was made specifically for Chuck in this state, those lyrics tell the story about how a man lost everything, and gets drunk to forget about it all. Also I like Firewater and all, but is there some way to find the score that plays during Chuck's introduction?
-Hey! You get the hell away from my bike. -Whoa, chill, OK? Sorry, didn't know it was your's. It's a nice bike though. -Hey, sorry, buddy, i though you were one of those crazies. You can't trust people anymore. I've been dealing with nutbars all day long. These zombies... They're annoying, sure, but they're easy to kill. You, know, kinda... Kinda fun even. The real threat is the people. An outbreak like this does things to men. The violence. The death. Seeing loved ones die... Change... It makes people snap. Just like that. People Just Like You And Me. Just when himanity should be coming together, they turn on each other instead. I've got a daughter to protect. i won't let anything get in my way. -Your daughter? Well, listen, I can take you both back to the Safe House. -Katey needs her Zombrex every 24 hours. Right, baby? -Oh, your daughter. (Fire... Once it's through, no one else, they all betray... Fire..!) -Do you know what would happen if she didn't get her Zombrex every day? But i would never let that happen. We still have some time, Katey. I'll find some if it kills me. -Look, let's get you and your... Daughter... back to the Safe House so that... -Get the hell away from her! -Oh... Crap. -You're just one of those nutbars! You just want to hurt her! Keep her from getting her Zombex! (Firewater...!!!) Nobody messes with my kid.
I feel like the entire starting cutscene reflects on us (the players) when going as Chuck in DR2. Finding zombies easy and fun to kill, thinking psychopaths are the real danger compared to the undead, fussing over finding Zombrex for Katie and giving her a dose in a timely manner, and drinking alcohol excessively (as it is one of the most common types of healing items found throughout Fortune City, and many mixed juices require it as an ingredient).
I wished we could have gotten an Off the Record 2 where you played as Psycho Chuck in the game. You could save survivors as part of the story cause an important character would give you a dose of Zombrex every day for helping people. It would have been interesting seeing this version of Chuck explored with the doll representing Katie being ducktaped to his back. I feel that game would have been better than a Dead Rising 4. I mean, did we really need a sequel to the third game so soon ? The infection was cured in the third game and the story arc of Chuck, Katie, Nick, and Isabella was closed. Making a sequel to Off the Record would have offered us more content, a new outbreak, and more of the lore explored.
Five years too late but a tip about fighting psychopaths in OTR.. In OG DR2 you can whail away at the enemy and it will be just as effective to spam attacks but in OTR pummeling a psychopath burns out your damage capability but they also have less health. You can actually play safer and do more damage in this game.
Wish Frank was more sympathetic towards Chuck in this game. Dude snapped cause he lost his daughter, just like the vietnam veteran in the first game. Frank was sympathetic to him.
Think about it, this game feels more canonical to the series lore. After defeating Chuck, you will never see him again. *SPOILERS* But if you play Dead Rising 3 near the end, he will tell his daughter that he's been crazy searching for her, which backs up what he says in this game. Really makes you think.

I don’t know which is more sad? Seeing Chuck end up like this combined with the knowledge that Katey didn’t survive, or how Chuck’s comment on how people choose to turn on each other in times when they should come together is more relevant now than it was in 2011?
6:05 saddest line in dead rising history

i like how during the cutscene the volume of his theme gets louder or softer depending on how angry he is
Poor Chuck😢with his daughter ded(not canon but confirmed dead on this, OTR only) he is drunk and carries a doll based on kid Katie
Okay. The way you performed in this fight was INCREDIBLY funny and unique than the other videos. The moment you lost your weapons, you relied on freaking orange juice to deal damage and you ended him off with his own drink 😂 I love this so much
4:58 I love how he throws orange juice at him lol
The most letal weapon in the world. ¡ORANGE JUICE!
If he dies for Stacy Not before Say: i found You! Katey!
If he survives:
Stacy is defeated but Chuck grabs a knive and says: this is the moment i can kill You But instead he trows she at a zombie horde to be devoured by the souls that she destroyed....

I really wanna hear the cinematic music ALONE.
Jesse Peek the background song for Chuck Greene is called "FireWater"
Poor man, he just wanted to protect his daughter
I guess when Katie left because he didn't like her dad risking his life to get zombrex for her, he thought she turned and carries a doll resembling her and he is drunk

@@eduardor-o4884 and what happened after Frank beat some sense into him and got only his doll's head
It broke my heart seeing this.
Is it just me or is Chuck's analogy of killing zombies in this intro meant to be some sort of metafiction talk with how the player felt playing the canon Dead Rising games in both the story AND gameplay considering OTR's timeline turned Chuck from protag to antag psycho
Also one of the best theme songs in my opinion.. Firewater is so good
1:11 rips off zombie's head later tosses the head still on the body down
2:18 Thats when frank realized he shouldnt have grabbed the doll from the leg.
Ooo,Crap..
So, I know this game is non-canon, but was Chuck still alive and he ran off after he was defeated or was Frank the whole time looking at a phantom or something?
Two Things could've happened. Either:
*Chuck escaped while Frank had his back turned
or
*It was all in Frank's head and Chuck was just a hallucination.
Name no asshole
The devs said he simply escaped since they didnt wanna kill Chuck, canon or not, they just didn't.
2:19 I just love his reaction when he realize he shouldn’t touched his “daughter”
I love the small hints of Firewater starting when Chuck acts like a lunatic, that simple riff is so pleasant to hear. Then as soon as you grab the doll's leg, it begins playing in full swing.
“YOU ARE ONE OF THE NUTBARS YOU JUST WANT TO HURT HER!”
Lol throwing the orange juice at chuck was hilarious.
He disappears at the end of the fight because even in a what if scenario the devs couldn't bring themselves to kill a protagonist like that, even tho the book declares him dead
Say what you want about OTR, but this addition was honestly genius. Definantly one of the most emotional boss fights in the whole series
When I first see Chuck Greene as a psychopath my jaw dropped to the floor.
Oh I loved this game. I remember back in the sandbox mode if you went to the plaza and heard Firewater start up, you needed to leave INSTANTLY.
0:14 "Hey you get the hell off my bike" 😠
Woah chill k sorry didn't know it was yours it's a nice bike though
2:36 I like how Peter delivers that line

Fire..!)
-Do you know what would happen if she didn't get her Zombrex every day?
But i would never let that happen.
We still have some time, Katey. I'll find some if it kills me.

You just want to hurt her!

(Firewater...!!!)
Nobody messes with my kid.
This shit hurt to watch. To see chuck like this is close to crippling depression
I always liked how in Dead Rising cutscenes the normally full of zombies environments are p empty while the player and other characters chat
Frank always fuck things up XD 2:11
I was playing a lot of the original DR2 within the past couple of days and seeing this just breaks my heart man
Five years too late but a tip about fighting psychopaths in OTR..
In OG DR2 you can whail away at the enemy and it will be just as effective to spam attacks but in OTR pummeling a psychopath burns out your damage capability but they also have less health. You can actually play safer and do more damage in this game.
Now Chuck has become like one of the psychopaths he had to beat...this isn't you Chuck!!!!
yeah but off the record its not canon
"I thought you were a crazy guy"
he says, carrying around a doll that looks like his dead daughter and talking to it
T.J Rotolo IS Frank Capcom
He is a deal breaker, no sale
Damn straight
Am I glad this ain't canon. I actually got attached to Chuck.
Nah, The Case West feels more canon to me, because in Case West he lost his daughter too, and Chuck knows Isabela in Dead Rising 3, and he meet her in Case West
6:28 what are you tryna say frank?
That he’s a better person at creating combo weapons??
Chuck is better
Chuck built a racing bike with two chainsaws attached to it, that’s DR3 level shit, So I guess so.
