Okay, so I am subbed. I've liked and commented on the video as well (so that's kinda a win for you) and as much as I love Vacheron's 21... Mitch def got my pick. That Zenith is just too good. Thanks for dropping yet another great piece of content🤙
@@SgtKong I agree, the 21 is the pick of the bunch for me, but apart from the Nomos, Teddys watches felt a little to plain across the board. I felt Mitch had a much more versatile collection, with a lot of personality.
My father, uncles and I are collectors. I have Invictas, Seikos, Crotons and a few other affordable brands and I also have a Jaeger Lecoutre and Omega. The secret to getting luxury watches like that when you don't have a big paycheck like me is getting them from Asian dealers, I learned from Henry Golding that Asia is a great place to get vintage watches for a much better price than America, and they're authentic.
These shopping spree videos are so entertaining. As someone who could never afford to drop $60,000 on a watch collection, its nice to live vicariously through videos like this, where Teddy does it for us. Thank you Teddy for being an avatar in what would be, for me, a man of modest means, a grandiose fantasy.
Yup. Mitchell got this. He went for it in buying lots of showy pieces. The only watch I think was not great was the Cartier and that price. I thought that was a bad buy. But everything else he beat Teddy on this one. Teddy's collection did have the crowning piece with the Vacheron.
Great episode! Finally a guest who actually thinks about practicality and wearing the watches! Also advising on your choices & a genuinely nice guy! Mitchell takes the win 👍
As someone from England, I'm not familiar with Mitchell, but what a nice genuine chap. He really picked out a great selection too. I'm really glad you didn't swap out anything.
These shopping videos got a nice game started between my dad and I where we try to put together our own collections for x number of dollars and it's been fun for us to do. Love these, Teddy!
Very nice collections for both of them. But I think Mitch stole the show. His selections were more diverse, and bold with more opportunity to step out on a ledge for different days and different occasions.
Mitch dominated talking watches. He’s an Olympic collector. Teddy actually had my personal favorites in his collection yet overall This was inevitably Mitch’s to lose. Amazing content
I think Teddy had the better collection, but I am so happy you had someone with a large wrist on! My wrist is 8 inches and it can be hard to shop for. That Nomos is sharp.
Nomos has quite a few watches like shown that would be great summer watches, vacation, to wear on dates, or a night in outdoor venues with a cold one watching jazz, etc.
I have to go with Teddy this round. That VC was totally unexpected and sank Schwarze’s battleship. I also liked the B01 Chrono with bullet strap although I would have gone with something green faced in the collection to stay on trend.
I have never heard of this guy before maby because I am from the UK but he was a really cool guest and had great taste in watches. Cool video keep up the good work
@@mitchschwartz71 I did enjoy Mitch! I’ve been following you sim with you appeared on HODINKEE. Good luck with the upcoming season. I know you’ll find a new team. Any man who wears and keeps a Hamilton Jazzmaster (like me) has great tastes.
Mitchell’s collection felt like he has all the main watches already and picked completely based on “fun”. On the other hand Teddy’s selection felt like what a person with 0 watches would pick. 👌 Final pick for me has to be teddy and that beautiful VC
This guy was great. Loved watches, unique taste and... size situation, and lovely picks overall. That Breitling Chronomat was lovely. Also, I can't believe that is Alson. 30 minutes from where I used to live.
I really don’t get the hype. With the shit Rolex pulls with their customers, I’m amazed that they still do as well as they do. If people want to play their games, more power to you, but there are plenty of better options available.
Both collections are great, and it really comes down to one piece for me: that Zenith El Primero does it for me. Mitch has to be the winner because he picked that single piece... But as I said, both collections are great. I found it rather amazing though that neither of you feel like you have options with $1500 remaining!
So cool to have Mitchell on the show! Such a great guy! Teddy is being a bit conservative when it comes to the picks here, but his choices are more refined and wearable than Mitchell’s in my opinion. Although I must say I love that Zenith. Thanks for the great content.
Teddy’s collection all day the Vacheron and the Breitling are absolutely stunning. That makes TB the winner hands down. I would have swapped out the nomos for that Monaco however... the would have put it over the top from a convincing win to a landslide.
Teddy fan since 2018, Chiefs fans since 1968. Mitch and Geoff Schwartz fan since they took their first snaps at Arrowhead. Great work guys. Good taste and collections.
Mitch is a really nice big guy, I enjoyed an online “chat” with him after he did his Hodinkee watch collection interview. I suggested he get into Zenith Pilot watches so be interested to see if he went that way. For all his knowledge and experience, I have to say Teddy shows a surprising lack of imagination in his watch picks; Mitch flattened him in this challenge!
Mitch had almost all gems. Teddy had two really standout picks this time that I think by themselves were standouts on par with Mitch. But as a collection mitches felt like a family and for themed and really fitting for him
I was sold on the individuality of the Franck Muller selection which, for me gave, Mitchell the edge - The sophisticated glister of gold for the intimate or grand occasion tempers the utility of the other pieces in his collection.
The Mule Air is absolutely stunning and fits his massive wrist perfectly. Definitely the winner for me, also he has more versatility in his collection so Mitchell won
I'd say Mitch took this round on sheer variety alone. a versatile collection including a Bronze, Gold, Black Ceramic case watches, while having a classic Cartier & a unique Tudor.
Being a watch guy from KC, I love Mitchell Schwartz. Here's hoping he lands back in KC, but if he doesn't, he deserves all the success coming his way elsewhere. Great series, Teddy.
Would love to see you try different stores (maybe even something with vintage watches)! Just to shake things up for future episodes :) great job Mr bulbasaur!
I watched Mr Schwartz showing his watch collection on Hodinkee, what a great guy and clearly a huge watch fan! Can't wait to watch this, great job Teddy!😎
Teddy FTW this time! I really liked the Tudor GMT, Vacheron 1921, IWC Mark XVIII combo. That would be just a super solid 3 watch collection covering a great sport/tool piece, a tremendous dress watch, and fantastic sea - to - tux everyday watch.
I want to root for teddy because he helped me find the watch I love, but I like how Schwartz uses his size as an advantage and picked out a lot of cool watches most people can't pull off
It’s hilarious when The video first started and I saw his wrist I thought he actually had an Apple Watch on and I thought to myself what the hell does this guy know about watches lol come to find out he’s got an absolutely gorgeous and unique spin on technology and simplicity. I love Moser and can’t wait to add one to the collection. I can’t believe I had an opportunity to purchase the new Steamliner when they first got released a couple thousand below retail if I would’ve pre-paid and waited for delivery but I just couldn’t pull the trigger I didn’t have the disposable funds at the time. I love that green dial and the simple three hand aesthetics. No doubt it will be in the collection in the next couple years!!
This series of videos is great, please continue with it. It was good to see the contrast of the watches because of the difference in the sizes of your wrists. Sorry Teddy, but Mitchell Schwartz's collection was clearly nicer.
I didn't mind no Rolex/Omega but I did find myself wishing they would choose something under $1000 more like a beater G-Shock or watch nerd enthusiast pick. I realize might be tough with this format in a luxury shop.
That VC put a very big dent in you budget Teddy. Besides Mitch's watches were very diverse overall - where yours were pretty much round. Have to give it to Mitch. His bronze IWC is strikingly beautiful!
