@@tomaszhoekstra7357 hey if you want high energy go watch Nico Vanderhorst! This seemed perfect to me, a casual interview and conversation about watches! nothing wrong with it. And commenting the same thing over and over doesnt help anything haha
I'm SO THANKFUL that you guys didn't just do this via skype/FaceTime and put a horribly difficult to watch zoom call a talking watches. Nice job having great video quality on both ends - really like how this was produced in a tough time.
The only thing impressive about R. is their marketing, because they immediately pop up in everybody's mind when discussing expensive time pieces. Other than that, they're probably the most underwhelming expensive-watch brand there is.
And that's the kind of athlete you need to see more of. I enjoyed his video with Teddy, he bought practical watches nothing bling out or showy and he knows what he's doing with the watches and how they work which is even better because he can tell he appreciates their history and mechanics. He wasn't buying to show he has money, he bought watches that he's going to USE
I love how eclectic Mitch's tastes are. Buying it because he likes the look of it and not bc it conforms to some idea of wealth or success. I enjoyed this snapshot into his collection very much.
@@srp006 I considered the date. At the end of the day the Striking is much cooler and more fun. A bunch of other watches have a date on it, and while I obviously love having it, sound > date, especially when we've all got a smart phone handy. I also liked the contrasting colors of black dial and white metal more than the monochrome aesthetic of the Date. And lastly, the Date had just come out and was expensive AF and I got this one at a killer price. For even money I'd still take the Striking though for all those reasons.
biggest downer is the lack of enthusiasm in the format, good watches, but we need passion. it is just a boring interview. bring back Ben with passion please
Great to see a Hodinkee video not self publicising someone's promotion "I bought this Rolex when I got my promotion, you people work hard and you can have one too". This guy clearly has no need to flex, he's just a boss

This was an awesome episode! Seems like a super down to earth guy and that collection was bananas. Super well rounded and perfectly fits his personality and lifestyle with giant 9 inch wrists.
Honestly I was not expecting to see JLC and the F.P Journe truely caught me off guard. Glad to see such a great collection from a world class athlete that isn't just RMs or Rolexes

Hey Mitch, thanks for the genuine interview and your amazing collection. It’s cool to get to know you a little more from this. I pray that you get back into playing health soon.
Glad he talked about his wrist size. Many in the watch game give the old, "47mm is too big for anyone. It's a disgrace to make a watch that large." Ok, you with your 6 inch wrist can fit any watch comfortably. Some of us have bigger wrists and wish we could do that. For us thick-wristed fellas, the struggle is real...
You can wear a small watch on a big wrist lol. It doesn't affect the function at all. However, if your watch is too large, it does not work on a small wrist. It literally falls off the side.
I’d rather have big wrist. I have narrow 6 inch wrist and it’s HARD to find a watch that fits perfectly. I can’t do wrist shots because it just doesn’t look as good I’m aiming for a 34mm Rolex OP or airking. My 36mm seamaster is already sitting at the edges of my wrist. If the top side of my wrist was as flat as the underside, I could get away with more watches.
