My 101 year old grandfather just gifted me his 1960’s Omega DeVille. I never thought I’d have an Omega or anything near it until much later in life. It means so much, all the scratches on it are from him working over 60 years. Nothing like watches.
Same here. I inherited an Omega heirloom from my grandfather that was bought in the 60s and there are scratches on it and some stains on the dial, but I do not touch it to clean it. There are experiences on it and I continue to keep them alive that way.
Clearly Kevin is an investor in Teddy’s company (they’ll never disclose this publicly) and these videos are all about driving sales to the brands that Teddy carries on his website.
@@commentariatKind of baseless considering out of the brands in the video only Tissot, Hamilton, and Longines are actually on Teddy’s website. Not denying that what you’re saying could be true, but I don’t think this video is the best example of “evidence” for the claim.
From Spain. Kevin I love to see how you have matured in the thought of admiring and appreciating watchmaking, not only for its economic value (which is very important), but for the beauty as you say of the dials. You make a good team. Good job Teddy. I admire that you have reached where you are.
I own the black bay ceramic and I'm actually looking to offloading for the Black Bay 54 when it comes to my AD. It is a fantastic looking watch and I would keep it if my wrist wasn't so small and I didn't have nerve pain. I put it on a rubberB strap, black, and it just looks so smart. Interesting story about it though, I originally bought the black bay 925 only to find out after a day of wearing it that I was actually allergic to the case material. It's obviously not the silver but something that they put in the alloy that was causing me to get a rash. I returned it and exchanged it for the ceramic the next day. Both of these tutor watches are just incredible in person. I really wish I could have kept the 925 to be honest but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be I guess. I do like Mr wonderful's collection, I will say though you guys have that Royal oak just casually sitting there... It's such a flex. I'm glad he's getting into cheaper brands, because obviously price is not everything in the watch world.
Thanks for a great episode. I started collecting about a year ago. I absolutely love it! Kevin it’s so great to have a common connection to a person like you who is well past my pay grade.
Got more into watches and this series with Kevin and Teddy is outstanding. Beautiful words of wisdom and taste beyond most. Thank you for producing this!
That hamilton on a red band is fire. I was not expecting that Kevin could pull it off with a red band but he did. So classy. A field sport watch turned into a classy piece. 👏🏼
“And always remember, never go into debt to own a timepiece, it’s not worth it…and also keep in mind you’re not a maison aficionado or a true watch collector until you own at least 3 watches from the same brand” ok, got it, sage advice, wrote it down and everything 👍
Who says you need to be a "true" collector though? The advice still stands; don't go into debt, even if you want to become a "true collector" of a brand
@@vale-zk3ut I don’t disagree, one should not go into debt, especially when it’s tied to something that we don’t need but want as part of a hobby. I thought the sarcasm was evident. I do take issue with people making sweeping blanket statements like “unless you own 4 watches from a brand, you’re not a real collector or enthusiast.” That’s just not true, full stop. It may be HIS definition of how he sees this hobby, but it ends there.
I love these videos... Kevin comes off as such a regular relatable guy... He's worth hundreds of millions of dollars, but he's like a kid in a candy store and gets all geeked out over a really well done $300 watch. That shows a genuine love for the art and the experience, and its not all about the price and ROI. I too came to the realization that smartwatches are just disposable items. Spend $400 and use it for 2 years, and then get a new one. Or, for $400 I can get a decent Seiko, or Citizen, or Tissot that will last decades...
Great video! I’m usually not too high on Kevin, but I feel he really showed a different side of his persona in this video. Came across as much more knowledgeable, relatable and genuine to me. Well done to both of you and thank you for the video.
Fantastic episode as always when we get Teddy and Kevin together! It's really cool to see these great pieces showcased by someone who can afford anything. I love my Hamilton Khaki Field Auto ... it's very nice quality and runs 1-second per day off perfect time and looks great. I can't wait to add a Tudor to my collection and there's some great ideas here.
Teddy has taken you and me down the same path. I first purchased two Khaki Field mechanicals; I gave one to my grandfather. Then I got the Master Chronometer from Tudor last year that Kevin has in this video. I hope you enjoy whichever Tudor you end up choosing!
when hopefully I can afford a luxury watch when im older, I know for sure my first watch will be a Tudor pelagasos in titanium with the blue bezel and dial. I'll use is as my daily watch for as long as it lasts me, it has the quality and looks and finishing of a Rolex and a great movement.
Well done, Gents. Teddy has it right, in a disposable world, these are built to last - what’s more sustainable than that!? And Mr. Wonderful, you too have it right, often, and supporting jobs for people to make real things is going to be the best movement (like that)!
I’ve just discovered Nivada very recently and have become smitten with the Chronomaster. Now I learn Mr. Wonderful has picked one up?! That seals the deal!
You may not need a watch but I used mine to check the date instead of pulling out my phone. Made me reconsider the utility of having the date on a watch which aesthetically I'm not a fan but definitely realize the importance of.
Well said, Kevin! You and Teddy nailed the whole reason and fun behind collecting watches. Also, I own three Tudors, all different including the FXD Pelagos and the bronze BB, brown dial, first year release. Then a 41mm BB red bezel. Also Panerai times two, an Alpina Seastrong and a few others.
I have two Alpinas I need at least two more to add to my collection, LOVE their pieces but my only problem is their unique buckle requires a non fixed loop strap which is a HUGE problem for me because like Kevin i switch a lot of my bands except i use green in honor of my grandmother
Tudor is not only nor the company first company to experiment and use different materials for cases …all the major watch companies have labs where they are creating proprietary new composite materials for cases, including carbon fiber composite, ceramic, and bronze ect.
Surprisingly the last minutes of Kevin speech was pretty based, I think Teddy has a very positive influence on Kevin, if he is serious about politics he'll need Teddy 😂
I like Mr. Wonderful have a diverse watch collection. I have purchased 6 Tudors. I have 4 grandsons, each which will get a Tudor upon their graduation from high school. The first was awarded last June. I will keep my Black Bay Bronze and my Pelagos. The boys will get the two Heritage Chronos, the original Black Bay Blue with the rose logo (eta movement), and a Harrods Green Black Bay. Great horological gift for the next generation.
"Wonderful" pieces(feel free to use that line Kevin). I particularly found interest in that Speake-Martin dial as they had elected to use "IIII" instead of the traditional Roman numeral "IV" as the number four indices marker. Lovely!
In addition to enjoying Kevin's caustic humor, I've discovered he is into watches, AND I just saw one of Teddy's videos with Kevin where he related his mother was Lebanese, as was my mother! Too many things in common here, so today I subscribed! Keep entertaining us Kevin!
I love watches for there style and there functionality to me is still very useful I love that I have the power of the universe on my wrist there art and beauty I love them
Kevin has finally learned not to interrupt Teddy every 15 seconds. Best video I've watched with the two of them. Nice works, Gents!
He just interrupted Jacob Arabo during his entire video that he filmed there every time Teddy asked a good question lol

😂😂😂😂😂
I like Kevin but that FTX comment was funny 😂

😂
The sole fact that this guys locks in a red strap on EVERYTHING in spite of the design is sickening
Kind of awesome honestly
you took my words from my mouth.
He doesn’t put it on every watch, for example the rainbow Daytona. It’s a solid idea stop hating.
The chemistry of these two. Outstanding. Keeps me excited about watches.
If only you could steal millions of dollars to fund your collection like Kevin!

That Hamilton, strap combo is stunning.
I can listen to these guys talk about watches all day, you can just hear the passion and feel it. Love it! Thanks guys!
I consume all content the two of you put out, and it’s always entertaining. Please come out with a weekly show
If these guys had a video podcast series or something, that would be amazing.

I own the BB 925. Very subtle watch, with a gorgeous dial which pops in the sunlight. 15 months on, it's developed a nice patina.
Best part is 925 doesn't wear away as much wlas gold when polished
My daily is a Hamilton and my dress watch is a Tudor. Absolutely love their value. Looking to add more!!
Tudor, Breitling, and Baume and Mercier are my dress watches. My regular is Casio, Glock (the watch I don't own any of the guns), and one other.
Probably you should mention the models and not just the brands. We can not imagine which watches you own and wear.
watches are art!!!!!!! Mr. Wonderful!!!!!
FANTASTIC PICKS! Enjoyed this video.
Teddy is so well spoken and knowledgable on the topic of horology.
Nice video, guys. Can you stick up details as to where Kevin gets his straps?
Kevin Bald-assare and Teddy O'Hairy are marvelous combo.

I love that Speake-Marin piece. I usually think a rainbow color design is too ostentatious, but it looks perfect there.
Yep. I love how they’ve paired the complementary colours and how they match across the dial. Colourful but not gaudy
Amazing watches. I feel proud everytime i look at my little hamilton khaki
You two are always so great together. And that Mr. Wonderful Anordain is pure perfection
Keven and Teddy make such a great duo
Great Video! It was really fun to watch the Video. 👍😎😎

This duo belongs up there with the all-time greats, Martin & Lewis, Abbott & Costello, etc. Everything you two put out is gold.
