My 101 year old grandfather just gifted me his 1960’s Omega DeVille.
I never thought I’d have an Omega or anything near it until much later in life. It means so much, all the scratches on it are from him working over 60 years. Nothing like watches.
Thats so nice, make sure to take care of it forever ! It will always remind you of the great times with your grandpa ❤
Same here. I inherited an Omega heirloom from my grandfather that was bought in the 60s and there are scratches on it and some stains on the dial, but I do not touch it to clean it. There are experiences on it and I continue to keep them alive that way.
Really enjoy seeing Teddy and Kevin together regularly! Always a good time, and always wonderful pieces to appreciate.

Clearly Kevin is an investor in Teddy’s company (they’ll never disclose this publicly) and these videos are all about driving sales to the brands that Teddy carries on his website.

Who says you need to be a "true" collector though? The advice still stands; don't go into debt, even if you want to become a "true collector" of a brand
@@vale-zk3ut I don’t disagree, one should not go into debt, especially when it’s tied to something that we don’t need but want as part of a hobby. I thought the sarcasm was evident. I do take issue with people making sweeping blanket statements like “unless you own 4 watches from a brand, you’re not a real collector or enthusiast.” That’s just not true, full stop. It may be HIS definition of how he sees this hobby, but it ends there.

I own the black bay ceramic and I'm actually looking to offloading for the Black Bay 54 when it comes to my AD. It is a fantastic looking watch and I would keep it if my wrist wasn't so small and I didn't have nerve pain. I put it on a rubberB strap, black, and it just looks so smart. Interesting story about it though, I originally bought the black bay 925 only to find out after a day of wearing it that I was actually allergic to the case material. It's obviously not the silver but something that they put in the alloy that was causing me to get a rash. I returned it and exchanged it for the ceramic the next day. Both of these tutor watches are just incredible in person. I really wish I could have kept the 925 to be honest but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be I guess.
I do like Mr wonderful's collection, I will say though you guys have that Royal oak just casually sitting there... It's such a flex. I'm glad he's getting into cheaper brands, because obviously price is not everything in the watch world.

Fantastic episode as always when we get Teddy and Kevin together! It's really cool to see these great pieces showcased by someone who can afford anything. I love my Hamilton Khaki Field Auto ... it's very nice quality and runs 1-second per day off perfect time and looks great. I can't wait to add a Tudor to my collection and there's some great ideas here.
Teddy has taken you and me down the same path. I first purchased two Khaki Field mechanicals; I gave one to my grandfather. Then I got the Master Chronometer from Tudor last year that Kevin has in this video. I hope you enjoy whichever Tudor you end up choosing!
when hopefully I can afford a luxury watch when im older, I know for sure my first watch will be a Tudor pelagasos in titanium with the blue bezel and dial. I'll use is as my daily watch for as long as it lasts me, it has the quality and looks and finishing of a Rolex and a great movement.
Got more into watches and this series with Kevin and Teddy is outstanding. Beautiful words of wisdom and taste beyond most. Thank you for producing this!
My daily is a Hamilton and my dress watch is a Tudor. Absolutely love their value. Looking to add more!!
Tudor, Breitling, and Baume and Mercier are my dress watches. My regular is Casio, Glock (the watch I don't own any of the guns), and one other.
Probably you should mention the models and not just the brands. We can not imagine which watches you own and wear.
Well said, Kevin! You and Teddy nailed the whole reason and fun behind collecting watches. Also, I own three Tudors, all different including the FXD Pelagos and the bronze BB, brown dial, first year release. Then a 41mm BB red bezel. Also Panerai times two, an Alpina Seastrong and a few others.
I have two Alpinas I need at least two more to add to my collection, LOVE their pieces but my only problem is their unique buckle requires a non fixed loop strap which is a HUGE problem for me because like Kevin i switch a lot of my bands except i use green in honor of my grandmother
Teddy's the man. Great vid! There are so many smaller market brands out there that you have to admire and respect in regards to quality, price and aesthetics......Squale, Hanhart, Muhle Glashutte, Sinn, and many more. Great job, Teddy! Keep up the great work.
I own the BB 925. Very subtle watch, with a gorgeous dial which pops in the sunlight. 15 months on, it's developed a nice patina.
Best part is 925 doesn't wear away as much wlas gold when polished

Because like he said he originally got to caught up in the luxury and status value, same as producer Michael. Hanging out with Teddy those two have come to understand that yes watches can be investments but years ago when they were first being made they were not thinking about investments, Teddy's hooking them in the history side of it

I love these videos... Kevin comes off as such a regular relatable guy... He's worth hundreds of millions of dollars, but he's like a kid in a candy store and gets all geeked out over a really well done $300 watch. That shows a genuine love for the art and the experience, and its not all about the price and ROI.
I too came to the realization that smartwatches are just disposable items. Spend $400 and use it for 2 years, and then get a new one.
Or, for $400 I can get a decent Seiko, or Citizen, or Tissot that will last decades...
Great episode again Teddy sometimes I think the Red Band obsession Kevin had kind of cheapens the design of the OEM watch and band design but this the beauty of this hobby I guess, you can do what makes you happy and make a piece feel like your own.
A must for any watch collector is to see Teddy and Mr. Wonderful !

Teddy would need to be involved simply because you'll hear the Kevins talk about rarity and investments as opposed to hearing Teddy talk about the mechanics

Great conversation! Would be great to know where to find the nato strap you showed us on the Tudor Black Bay 58 in silver, looks very interesting. Got my first Tudor myself last week in Dublin, the new GMT with opaline dial and steel bracelet. Fell in love with how that dial catches the light, and decided for that to be my first "big boy watch". Thanks for the content guys!

Besides dial, the history of watch is also quite significant to help decision of watch purchasing. I know the Hamilton which is now part of Swatch was a US watchmaker and has a glorious history of watchmaking. However until I purchased two of Hamilton most iconic watches, I start to realize how good and glorious that this brand has. Therefore Every watch collector shall be open for watch preference and price does not matter. It is the history that really matters most.

Glad to see the growth in variety. Rolex will always have its place but it’s really refreshing to see other pieces that are good quality and have their own personalities. Life’s to short to cut yourself off to other opportunities and experiences

You may not need a watch but I used mine to check the date instead of pulling out my phone. Made me reconsider the utility of having the date on a watch which aesthetically I'm not a fan but definitely realize the importance of.

I love the dialog between Kevin and Teddy; you can feel their passion for watches. I'm interested to know if Mr. Wonderful or Teddy own a Fears Christopher Ward Alliance 01 watch. Since it is a special edition, supports the British Watch industry and is red, I thought this would be in Mr. Wonderful's sights.
