Got one month ago and love this machine! It would be nicer is the pressure gauge can be turned into different angle! Still thanks for making this machine with the passion!
Well I'm pleased you explained why the guage isn't on the body of the unit as that was my only grip. Good explanation of why it's not satisfies me fully. Simplicity and the beauty of design are why I'm so attracted to the Robot. I haven't purchased yet as I already own a Decent Espresso machine so no rush on my end. Congratulations 👏🎉 on your success!
I have ordered a week ago, I own Jura ena 8 BUT I wanted manually with no electricity I also bought a manual grinder (1zpreso K-pro) and I'm expecting it too I'm so excited !!!
Do you think that dispersion screen without rivet for holding will be a good idea? Just small stick with neodymium magnet in the end for lifting the screen from the basket probably will resolve the problem with accidentally smashing the screen with the piston. Event the tamper with magnet in the handle will be enough. I'm not sure if that will be convenient solution and if the used steel is ferritic. Any way the temperature over 80°C will demagnetized the magnet.
I just got a barista model with the pressure gauge, but my pressure gauge calibration is off and stuck at 2 when not in use. Does anybody know how to zero out this gauge??? I didn’t want to remove the gauge from the bracket since he said he thread locked it to attach the bracket/nut. Any ideas on how to calibrate gauge?
The tube was disconnected at the second try. I'm in a stage on how to fix the leakage from the disconnected tube. I wish if I had the one with no gauge and didn't add extra money for a trouble.
Of course you can see it. The reason it is on the arm is because the gauge is connected to the piston. The piston moves up and down, since the arms moves up and down too, the capillary tube moves in tandem with the piston, thereby placing less stress on the tube. A stationary gauge at the top is probably preferable but not easily doable without placing too much stress on the tube.

As always, a welcome video from Mr Pratt. I love getting the inside stuff...may thanks. Can't wait to get MY Robot.

Great videos!
Can you please talk about the leveling tamper and compare it with the original one?
Robot likes to wear his heart on his sleeve
Could you have used a STEEL gasket or seal for the PISTON (plunger)?
Is there a SMELL, (odour), associated with the SILICONE SEALS?
Is it detrimental to move the gauge, with a computer printer bracket, to the arms screw? Thanks
Any video instructions for installing the gauge?
Will water go up the hole in the pressure gauge at the Piston?
Hello! Sir!
My robot's pressure gauge do not zero position. It shows 2 point level. What's wrong with my robot?

I just got mine the other day and my gauge doesnt appear to be working at all too. Did you work this out?
when pressing, does water enter the hose?

@@Cafelat i've sent email but not responding😂😂😂
This is awesome, but as many have said - its placed weirdly. Why place it where you cant really watch it while pressing?

Glad someone said it…why do people keep claiming you can’t see the gauge when pressing? Does everyone have their Robots on 3 feet high counter tops!
what is the name of the bolt that you put in the piston to connect with the O.D ? thx!
im curious about the bottom end hole, is it not big enough to make the water flow up to the gauge?
is the red rubber in the piston easily replaceable with any standard rubber?
It is silicone and a custom size.
