so beautiful...just so well engineered...Two more months and ill have saved up enough to comfortably afford this machine. My friend has let me use hers a couple of times , and I just enjoy it.

true product design, no cutting corner anywhere. Other products would go with easier manufacturing methods. Such an amazing product.

Great video -- those parts are indeed gorgeous. If I am going to be traveling often and wanting (hypothetically) to disassemble it ~6 times a year to more easily fit it in my backpack, can you foresee me running into issues with things like screws stripping, etc?

I really like the simplicity and quality of this product. It's a pity there is not much distribution in the US, only Prima Coffee carries it and it is out of stock

Order it from cafelat, I just did. Shipping is expensive but at least you get a good selection of colors and accessories.

Should I use silicone compound in the “shoulders” of the Robot, I mean on the surface between the metal and teflon washers to prevent the arms from screeching and wearing out? Only Molykote is good or any food grade silicone lubricant will do the job? Thx in advance for the answer!

Do I need to lubricate anything in my Cafelat Robot? It’s been about 6 months of daily use and it starts to feel a bit squeaky.

Users on Reddit have noted (complained about) metal flakes in the gasket or piston (don't remember the specifics). Any comments on that?

The machine is polished, the "flakes" are almost certainly polishing compound from when we polish the arms. I will pay more attention to this but really most items are final polished during assembly. The only part the water sees is the underside of the piston.
