This attention to detail is *another* reason I love my Robot. It not only makes a great espresso, but it's a joy to use because it's not rattly, not flimsy, not noisy, not clanky. It's juuuuust right.

I just received my Cafelat Robot today and am super pleased with the purchase! Combined with the Niche Zero grinder, the Robot gives me an amazing cup of espresso. The main reason I went with the Robot is so that I don't have to worry about boiler corrosion/scaling, electrical or valve problems, flushing and temperature control, etc, with an electrically powered machine. A simple, mechanical device is a joy to use; all you need is hot water, appropriately ground coffee, and the Robot. I bought the Barista/Pro model with the non-pressurized basket and pressure guage. I was quite pleased to see that they included in the box an extra silicon seal for the piston, a packet of 111 food-grade silicon grease for the seal, and a piston plug with seal in case you ever want to do away with the pressure gauge (where I can see that with regular use, you'll learn to "feel" the proper pressure and won't use/need the gauge any more). 10/10 would buy again!

Seeing videos like this gives me great confidence in your products! What a fantastic machine and a great, transparent and real brand. Congratulations!

That is a wonderful exercise in design. Nothing extra or unneeded. Simplicity in the component pieces seems to work also for a better coffee-making workflow, solves temperature stability issues and makes cleaning simpler that in almost any other machine. Amazing job. Just ordered mine.

I so want one of these. Using an Aeropress at the moment (yes, I know it's not real espresso), I just love the manual workflow of my morning coffee. This looks like it would be a delight to use.

I amazed at the simplicity of design and see a huge profit margin.
    Congratulations on your success!🎉👏
I already own a Decent Espresso machine and use an AeroPress as a backup when out of store bought water. Still, I want the Robot for a change of pace and frankly, I just love the beauty and simplicity. If it works the way I think it will, selling the Decent is not unthinkable.
I think of the Decent as top espresso machine in the marketplace but your manual machine with its no fuss temperature or water quality design is simply captivating.

ive been peaking 12/13 bar. good to know the tube can go up to 20 bar. i assume the steel arms is strong enough as well? i am thinking i have no need to go past 15 bar. but there has been a real need for me lately to get creative. peaking at the end of the shot (increasing flow/pressure throughout the entire shot) has improved the taste, and i appreciate that this machine makes it simple to do that as well.

    Tamper
    Thank so much

The bolt you sealed with the teflon came out in one piece with the tube when I disassembled it. Now it's impossible to put it back...any ideas Paul? I'm extremely sad I cannot assemble my cafelat back 😢

As far as I could see (or did I miss it?) this video doesn’t show how you insert the metal sleeve over the pipe.

What about the stainless steel braided hose for the pressure gauge?

Hi, have you ever considered a straight basket? I get frequent channeling in a consistent pattern around the outsides of my pucks that I think is caused by the tapered basket. Would be great to have a straight walled one.

Will Cafelat build a GROUP HEAD, (boiling water container), that has a bayonet mount, which can hold a 58 mm PORTA-FILTER - and enough water for 2 LONG SHOTS (~ 100 ml)?

Hi, I got mine today and the arms are quite loose. They have almost a millimeter of play. Albeit 2 big and 2 small spacers were used. Is that a case for asking for a different machine from the seller or is there anything I can do? Or is it normal?

Where can I buy the robot espresso machine

    How much the price...?

  • @nsaiswatching

Why not make it fully steel? Aluminum production creates tons of toxic aluminum dust and it is absorbed by whatever it comes into contact with, including soil and food products.
Also, for the price of the Robot, steel would be better bang for the buck, unlike cheap aluminum.
For example, you can buy a fully steel kettle for under $20.
Hence, it's not expensive or anything.
Using so much aluminum in a manual lever machine priced at $450 feels a bit cheap/greedy.

Please make 7g basket. This is a real single size

Thanks for the suggestion but I have never found a single basket that works correctly.

@@PJP73 exactly. You can always stop the shot at 7grams but pulling single basket shots have always been less than stellar, on any machine in my experience also. Would be nice though if there was a machine out there that could "pull this off" :)
