Hi mate I watched this video this weekend just gone when I was stuck 7miles up the river and my motor sucked some gunk up the carby. Took me half an hour at anchor to clean the carby out and it runs awesome! Cheers
When doing the jets on this exact model after tightening the jets , How many Turns should you back the threads out or are they to be snugged in tightly? Any advice would be super helpful as my buddy is having issues and am looking to assist him. Thank you very much in advance
Perfect I just bought a 2nd hand 15 hp Yamaha 2 stroke the seller does not know what the age of manufacture is? I suspect I will need to learn how to service it. Your video tutorial goes a longways to educate me. Thanks
Can you please do a video on how to set up a throttle cable on this model? I’ve been trying to do it for weeks but I can’t figure out why it won’t reach full throttle since my replacement
Riley it is likely your metal rod on the side of your carb with the Phillips set screw. Loosen the screw, then take your throttle and turn it to idle all the way down, now tighten the screw and you should be in perfect adjustment.
Best video abut this motor. Do you have any guide about ignition timing adjustment mate? I'm reading the service manual but it's a bit cryptic in that part.
Hello! I've been watching your videos for a while now keep up the good work! I'm looking at buying a 2022 Suzuki King quad 400 FSI. Or a 2022 Yamaha Kodiak 450 What's your thoughts on these machine? Are they built well? I had a 2000 Yamaha Grizzly 600 for 10 years and it was the best ATV I've ever had.
Hey Lincoln. I have not worked on the new suzuki’s however i have worked on a couple new 450 kodiak’s and they really really impress me. I sold my KQ and i could see a 450 Kodiak being my next ATV. Just my opinion😁
@@Schneids15 Thanks for getting back to me! I went down to my dealer and tried out both machines. I will be mainly riding on trails and the Kodiak suspension is so smooth a very nice ride! The King quad is great too but definitely not as smooth with the straight alxel. Keep the great videos coming!

I really enjoy "'voice-over"' videos because they are usually more understandable. Great job explaining it as well. Thanks
Thanks for the Input Wayne. I really appreciate that.
Just watched your video. Awesome clear instructions. My carb clean went beautifully with your help.
Thank you for the great comment👍🏻

Jets all tight.
The air fuel mixture on the side can be altered. Some have caps to stop that though. It will only adjust idle issues though.
Best vid I've seen in a long time, great job!

recommend that you put "2-stroke" in your topic
Thank you for this how to!
I will try it, must take away to service for cleaning ..
When I pulled out my spark plugs I thought at first it was wet from fuel but a closer look and smell I realized it was water?? Head gasket?
It could be yes
@@Schneids15 thanks pulling it apart tomorrow
Thanks for a well narrated and helpful vid!
At 8:04 my engine has that brass thing you said they put for emissions. I can take mine out should I or no?
You FORGOT "and Bob's your UNCLE!"

Do you have a video on increasing the idle speed? I have a 9.9 2stroke.

Great job this is gold
Good video mate I actually missed the the air jet looks like I have to do it again .
Is there no gasket between the carb and the motor?
Nope a rubber seal is on the reed that seals it.
Helped me out of a jam. Thanks!
Fantastic video! Thanks!
