yeah ill be doing it a little here and there but i am a tech at the nissan dealership now. i sold the mower shop and moved to the country bought a 3bed house on 3 acres on a lake. i call it my semi retirement. went from 200k to 80 so its been an adjustment.
I have pretty much the same motor. Appreciate the bit about the rubber swelling up from carb cleaner. I'm going to remove that seal first if it wont break on me.
@@smallengineguys so I just did everything and put it all back together. Fired up in a barrel of water no problem. Is it normal that the engine isn't peeing? Is it only supposed to spray water out after it gets hot? Or is it always supposed to spray water out when it's running?
@@smallengineguys turns out it was a wasp sitting in the hole so that's fixed. After carb clean the motor runs for a minute or two and then dies by itself. It starts can barely handle idling and if I push the throttle arm it'll rev up then die as soon as it can. I'm thinking bad fuel pump because gas been sitting in it for 2 yrs. Any ideas?
Hey does anyone know the name of the part that sits below the fuel hoses, and screws onto the bottom Carb? It’s some kind of linkage and I think it’s missing a piece that connects through a square hole.
Thanks for the guidance, I've got a 50hp with the same basic setup. Going to clean the carbs as instructed and will see how it works.
What’s that acid you were using
I don’t see the link or a reply on what acid this is. Any help is appreciated just got them apart and want to get her back running for next weekend!
Nice to see back working on carburetor.

How do you set the timing on the 50hp yamaha
2 stroke? its the flywheel key that sets the timing.
No oil tank?
Did you remove it and mix?
It wasnt there. This was a customer.
Oil injection delete is the best!
Thanks bother
Welcome
Does anyone know what the gold solution is?
