    Good thing they cut the bit but not the setup. Once you’ve had the clip intro’d you hardly need to see it, because you’ve already been told about it.

    The biggest mistake NBC made at that time was not bringing back at least Short and Billy Crystal for the Fall '85 season.

      It may not have been NBC's call but instead Marty's and Billy's decision -- one season was enough for them.

    For these comedians who one suspects have great deficiencies in brain wiring, it is commendable that he never did himself in with drugs or alcohol abuse, as so many of his comedic peers did.
