Stamppot is part of my DNA. 😆🤣 However, I always liked Asian dishes, mostly Japanese, because of the heatlh benefits. I discovered Maangchi and got hooked. But I still devour stamppot in winter.

제주도에는 빙떡이라고 언뜻보면 메밀전병 처럼 생긴 안에는 무로 채운 음식이 있어요. 겨울에 무 철이 되면 가끔 빙떡을 만들어 먹는데 이번 겨울에는 무밥을 만들어 먹어봐야 겠어요!

양념장만 있으면 콩나물밥도 맛있고 상추나 새싹채소를 많이 넣은 샐러드같은 비빔밥도 맛있어요. 고추장을 싫어해서 이 양념장만 알아두면 뭘 넣어도 맛있는 비빔밥 완성!!! 한식이 비건이라고 생각 안해봤는데 이렇게 보니 정말 비건 음식 그자체네요. 불고기에 버섯을 부재료로만 넣어봤지 주재료로 할 생각을 못했는데 좋은 아이디어 고맙습니다.

This reminds me of the steamed vegetable rice you posted a couple of years ago! I always like to make that one in the winter when I want to eat something warm and hearty. Next time, I'll try it this way as well!

I have a Korean mom and watching you cook reminds me of growing up watching my mom cooking her Korean recipes❤ she still cooks even though she has started early stages of vascular dementia which makes this special for me.

hi maangchi! i love your recipes and i have made your kimchi pancake, japchae and tteokbokki so far. all my friends love them too! just a question, i have like two pounds of pickled radish in my fridge, i know it's not fresh radish, but do u think i could replicate this dish with the pickled radish instead? because i really have a lot leftover and i want to use it all up fast, because if not i think i'll get sick of trying to put pickled radish in all my meals. thank you!
The pickled radish has a strong salty flavor, which may not be the best choice for this recipe. Instead, you can thinly slice the pickled radish into matchsticks and combine it with Korean hot pepper flakes, a dash of soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, minced garlic, and a touch of honey or rice syrup to create another side dish. Good luck!
